kangel · 03/10/2005 09:18

Morning everyone!!

I decided to leave MN a while ago beacuse of a few things and haven't totally managed to catch up on the latest gossip but wanted to drop in and say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to my Secret Stork! - I didn't managed to get to pick it up from the PO until Saturday and I was so excited!! Its fantastic and I keep looking at my goodies, DP thought the whole idea was so sweet and couldn't believe how happy it made me! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!

I got:
Choccies from Thorntons - (can you believe I still have about 3 left)
A cute doggy soft toy
A Romper Suit - which DP and I had actually had our eyes on!!

All wrapped up so pretty in tissue paper!

Thank you soooooo sooooo much, I am still on cloud 9 over it and have it with me at work to show off!

I am also up for any other SS's that you guys wish to do ( I think I read something about a Christmas one).

I have my CAT open if anyone wants to contact me.

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 09:29

Morning all.

Glad everyones doing OK. Nemo - it's great to hear that Adam had such a fab day, cute piccie

I'm feeling really tired today, not sure why. I think I've got the Monday morning blues!

Kangel - it's great to hear from you, sorry to hear your having a hard time at home. Please feel free to share if you need to talk. We're all pretty good at giving advice here At least your ss managed to cheer you up!

I don't think I've really had any cravings with this one. Although I have been enjoying glasses of cold milk but thats as much for the indegestion as it is for me. With my dd I craved vinegar - much to the dimay of my dh (and everyone else sitting within 2 feet of me)

expatinscotland · 03/10/2005 09:40

Baby is active this morning. It usually sleeps in the morning.

Still have acid reflux, but here's hoping it doesn't get as bad as last time when I got that horrid ulcer in my oesophagus.

I HATE Mondays! I miss DD most on Mondays. She's such a wee dote these days.

kangel · 03/10/2005 09:44

Hi SH, home life is fine, it was a few things on here that made me decide to leave. Nothing you guys have said or done though and I miss chatting to you lot but thought it best to go.

Anyway I will check in with you guys from time to time to check on how you are all doing.

love to all.......!

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 09:55

Oh kangel - sorry to jump to the wrong conclusion!! It's crap that people on here have made you feel like you need to leave. I've had a couple of run-ins in the past that have left me with a bad view of certain people (but I shant name names!!!!)

I just avoid the people that I don't like or have been horrible in the past. Even though I'm sometimes tempted to post a special thread letting them know what I really think

Please stay with us ladies - we all love ya

kangel · 03/10/2005 10:02

Its cool SH.

I thought it was best to lay low for a while as other people were getting dragged in and I didn't like that and didn't thnk it was fair on you guys, anyway I'll see how things go on here.

I do really miss socialising with you guys and as time goes by everything is getting more and more exciting (or more and more stressful and nervous in my case).

The secret stork also made me feel like we all have a special bond.

Jeez I have alot to catch up on!!

kangelssecretstork · 03/10/2005 10:06

So glad to see you back & delighted that you liked your presents.
I hope you stay, the Dec ladies miss you.

From a very happy Secret Stork.

george32 · 03/10/2005 10:39

Morning everyone,
Kangel, it's great to see you back. Sorry you were finding MN a bit rough. I tend to lurk on other threads and just post on a couple of lovely ones (like this one! ).
Isn't secret stork great!

SH, I've been drinking no end of milk too. Odd really as I can't stand the stuff normally.
Might have to have some hot choccy too Nemo, yum, yum.

Well, 3rd rough night for me, tossing & turning all night long again. I have called in sick to work whilst I try to catch up on some sleep today. Don't think I would have been any help there in this state anyway.
DP forgot (yes, forgot!!) to get me a V-shaped pillow. (He did feel terribly guilty poor thing) Might have to venture out & get one later.

george32 · 03/10/2005 10:41

Oops, sorry, Bigeyes a huge welcome to the thread

(sorry, I'm a sleep deprived, idiot, this morning!)

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 10:56

Can I just point you all to this

She's out of the closet now (so to speak) and I'm sure that she needs all our support right now. Just wish I could help protect her!!

george32 · 03/10/2005 11:11

SH, thanks for linking to her thread.
What a dreadful situation.

dramaqueen72 · 03/10/2005 11:39

morning ladies.
thanks for showing us the thread s/h. how awful for you ninah, hope all works out and you stay somewhere else for awhile and keep safe. we are thinking of you. ((hug))

puts mine in much more perspective but had another arguement with my dh last night, I am going round in circles here!!
might go speak to my dr at some point, tho i have lost all ability to work out if its me, him or the pg hormoal rush thats causing these problems. I have antidepressants ready, or a perscription for them anyhow, to take after the birth, but wondering if i should look into taking them now. am loathed to take anything while actually pg, but ffs, life is becoming a soap opera.
s/h youre a computer searching whizz, whats the best and quickest way to find out if they are really safe? are there good realiable sites on side effects etc?
I cant wait to have this baby now, hate feeling this emotional and vunerable.
sorry ladies wanted to be cheerful for you all today, but buggered it up last night again.

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 12:08

Oh DQ - sorry your having a bad time of it too. Do you have a note of what the anti depressants are called on the perscription and then maybe I can find you some info. Or maybe our resident medical expert Eimummy will know!

Papillon · 03/10/2005 12:15

useful site on prescription drugs for dramaqueen72 or anyone else

Safe fetus

Enter the trade name or the generic name of the medication you are taking to check potential risk according to the FDA from category A (safest) to X (should not be used). You are also given the risk of the drug on the fetus, if used during pregnancy; and its effect on breast milk, if taken during lactation.

Nemo666 · 03/10/2005 12:24

DQ hun a lot of ssris are fine in pregnancy such as prozac[fluoxetine] as while they helo with depression they are relatively harmless. AS oyu know I understand about not taking them..God knows I should well have been back on mine what with spending half the time crying/suicidal and the other half high as a kite..sigh. At the tend of the day you need to make whatever choice is best for you hun and the baby will benefit [pot kettle I know I know]

george32 · 03/10/2005 12:25

Oh DQ, I'm sorry. I know that feeling when you can't tell what is causing what anymore.
I think seeing your GP is a good idea as they can offer you their opinion and tell you the risks. If they think you do need to take something now, it may be that they prescribe a different type of AD if it lower risk for the baby. I know Prozac is pretty safe. The only risk mentioned to me is that the baby may be slightly more irritable when born.
I know I don't regret starting taking them even though I was very unsure initially but I'm sure your GP will be able to tell you if there are any other options availble.

Nemo666 · 03/10/2005 12:26

Just looked at meds they want me on and apparently it can lead to increased risk of stillbirth was also told fetal risks are quite unknown but they still wanted me on them.

george32 · 03/10/2005 12:29

Thanks Papillon, great site.

Bit worried when I saw Prozac as a B rating but having checked Lactulose, that is a B too so I guess anything that isn't 100% without risk is bound to be a B.

Nemo666 · 03/10/2005 12:32

Things tend to be B rating if there is tiny risk of any effect no matter how little is known.
The venlaflaxine has peeved me off as that was what I was on when I had missed mc and wonder if it had any effect on losing the baby.

george32 · 03/10/2005 12:39

Oh Nemo, don't think like that.
It could have been caused by any number of reasons.

I'm banning the site unless you are looking up any drugs you are considering taking now.

Nemo666 · 03/10/2005 12:41

George venlaflaxine is what they want me to take now..pmsl

george32 · 03/10/2005 12:46

Ooops, bugger, sorry Nemo!

(Not my day today is it!)

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 15:36
