DQ - so glad to hear that you got a hug from our dh and that you have something to pull together over.

I hope you have a good weekend and manage to clear the air.

dramaqueen72 · 30/09/2005 22:51

sorry nemo, missed that about adam, hope hes okay? bless him. hate the tinies being poorly.

dramaqueen72 · 30/09/2005 22:56

thankyou s/h. its a start anyhow.

george32 · 01/10/2005 13:31

Hi everyone,
DQ, so glad that things are going in the right direction with your DH. I hope you both have a good weekend.

To put myself right back at the top of the moaning tree, I can claim a rubbish nights sleep PLUS a terrible headache PLUS I'm still suffering from my dodgy digestion! Ninah, your going to have to go some to beat that lot!!
DP & the boys have been sent into town to find me a V-shaped cushion - I think they are intending to put it over my face to stop me whinging!!

Bonkerz, meant to ask, did Alex start wriggling about a bit more yesterday? I know my little one has been making up for havng a quiet day and had been moving about non-stop!

Hope everyone is having good weekends.

dramaqueen72 · 01/10/2005 13:42

I've been christmas shopping and got such alot done, so pleased about that.
george, hope youre feeling better?
hope everyones doing okay today.

Nemo1977 · 01/10/2005 13:44

lol george at the cushion comment

o DQ xmas shopping..

so did anyone else wake up this morning and panic that is it october only 2 n bit months till D day

george32 · 01/10/2005 13:50

No, not until you just pointed it out Nemo!! Am now in total state of panic.

DQ, you are so organised, Christmas shopping? What is that? We still have 3 birthdays to go, including both the boys, so we are nowhere near thinking of Christmas yet.

Nemo1977 · 01/10/2005 14:13

lol sorry george..maybe its because in my mind when I was 4 wks pg I was thinking just get ds bday out the way then the baby is next...and its adams bday week on mondya so making me realise how close we are..

Nemo1977 · 01/10/2005 14:21

Dq a basic bread recipe would be great to try as have never made bread and dh has said he would get me a breadmaker but just wanted to try a recipe first. Also we currently have a load more brownies in the oven..lol

bonkerz · 01/10/2005 14:51

Hi all. Alex has not moved much more but when she has (and i assume its her) it feels like i have a small bubble at the top of my vagina! Dull thuds right inside me IYKWIM. Is a very strange feeling and almost like im gonna wee myself for that split second! HAve felt a couple of light pushes just below belly button but most noticable thuds are really low down and deep inside. Is this normal do you think? Dont know if she is head down or not and mate said maybe she is strteched out head down and feet against placenta so therefore cusioning kicks which is why im just feeling light thuds.
Have just started my christmas shopping and feel better for it. I went to a mates last night and had a moan and a cry and it seems to have helped. Dh and i havent really talked but have got along better today and i dont feel so stressed! Wish i was a domestic goddess like all of you! Love the idea of home baking BUT cant be bothered so shop bought will have to do! NEMO: feel free to bring along some home baked goodies before the meet up!

Nemo1977 · 01/10/2005 15:03

bonkerz...i get that bubbly feeling at times when it feels like I a gonna feel a little hand pop out and can sometimes ne enough to take breath away. Think they all have quiet days..when I went to bed last night I realised hadnt felt baby all day so of course started panicking and woke up loads to see if I could feel. Then at 5am baby was booting away again and has been on and off today.

Just put adam down for his nap, brownies are cooling and have put my first basket of baby clothes in to wash need to start washing them and getting them away so can sort out the room as at the min its half toys and half boxes of adams old clothes..lol

dramaqueen72 · 01/10/2005 16:32

okay so i just dug out the old crappy sealant around the sink in kitchen to replace it -finally!!- and discovered we dont ahve enough new sealant. can I really be bothered to go to homebase NOW? oh no, bugger bugger....had mad cleaning moment (SO not me) and cleaned windows, floors and even crumbly outside porch. dh might drive past tonight and wonder where our house is
am delighted as I have found my watch - its been missing two/three days now, Miss mollie (thats dd2) had stashed it in her tiny toy handbag! no wonder I couldnt find it!! feel so relieve its back on my wrist, it was a treat expensive gift from dh and didnt fancy having to say I had lost it right after our big row.........

george, the very thought of christmas this year send me into blind panic, already i am getting slower and having back pain so bad somedays- I dont think i will be able to move much come nov!!!so as part of the 'lets not let dq get into blind panic and get all stressed and depressed' grand plan that my dh myself and teh dr came up with christmas was going to be bought early and wrapped and DEALT it, so i could tick it off, iyswim! doing something towards it makes me feel better, feel every so slightly more in control of these last scary months.
nemo, okay will find basic (white?) bread recipe and forward it to you tonight. funny have just got bread machine out of cupboard as hoping to have a 'batch bake' and freeze some loaves (this never quite pans out, children eat it all first....)
and YES its october today. which did freak me abit......altho i am sooooo excited/nervous- my next follow up scan is now in 18.5 days. really really need to get that done and have good results to be able to look forward you know?
bonkerz, try not to count alexs kicks...my midwife says as long as i feel good movement everyday not to worry. (obviously they tell you to count them if you feel NO movement for a day)and i try to go by that. this little guy is quiet during most of the day, active in the morning, firts thign, and during the eveing he goes abit crazy! oh I said HE......I wonder.......

ebbie22 · 01/10/2005 17:01

Not been feeling very well again, sad to say,so just a quickie to say hope you all have a better wkend...xx

expatinscotland · 01/10/2005 17:43

Hope you feel better, ebbie!

Starting to get swollen ankles here. Yuk.

Midwife is coming to do home visit next Saturday, though, as I had very serious swelling last time and hypertension (no protein in urine, so never diagnosed w/pre-eclampsia).

Just trying to take it easy, but SO want to spend as much time as possible w/DD before she gets a sibling. Took her to the park this afternoon and we had such a lovely time.

sweetheart · 01/10/2005 19:27

george if you haven't already got your cushion I believe Argos do cheap one.

My SIL had her baby today and at tea time I held a 5 hour old baby in my arms - wow, what a shock to the system. I can't believe in 2 months I'll have my own. I can't wait!! I was slightly jealous today as I would love to have brought the baby home.

I'm starting to panic about little things now - like how will I know when to feed the baby at first. And how will I build a routien so it slepps through. Oh yeah, and then there's the given birth bit - yes, I am well and truly at panic stations!!!!

bonkerz · 01/10/2005 19:28

Looks like we are all having a quiet weekend and sounds like we all need it!
Thanks for the messages about Alex and movements. Im sure im feeling her ATLEAST 10 times a day so wont panic just yet and NEMO thanks for sharing that you get same feeling! It really does feel like a foot/hand/head could come out at any minute some times! I cant beleive how much i have forgotton since being pregnant with DS! Feel like im having my first all over again!

Have just done a silly thing! I have booked to go away for a 3 night break to butlins with 8 friends at the end of FEB! Dh is all for it and said he cant wait to be alone with baby and i really think its something i need to do BUT i cant help thinking my emotions may get better of me but seeing as im driving the 8 seater car to get us all there i cant really back out! MAD or CLEVER?

ebbie22 · 01/10/2005 19:33

Thanks hun, just a quick question,is anyone having really bad pains on left hand side, that stops you in your tracks, and takes ur breath away...Im not sure whether to worry or not....

bonkerz · 01/10/2005 19:36

ebbie: i have been getting pains almost similar to stitch and it stops me in my tracks and blooming hurts. Have been reassured on her its just our muscles and ligaments stretching too much or not enough and just generally misbehaving. Just mention it to midwife but dont panic i think is advice i have been given!

ebbie22 · 01/10/2005 19:38

thanks, this is like real servere period pains, and cramps,so is prob just from doing too much, will mention it when i nxt c midwife....
Think butlins will be a lovely break away xxx

Nemo1977 · 01/10/2005 19:46

ebbie they are probably braxton hicks hun

bonkerz mad and clever me thinks..lol

ebbie22 · 01/10/2005 19:50

do u think so already?now im really scared about giving birth.....cant believe im only 10 wks away....

Nemo1977 · 01/10/2005 20:02

yes ebbie you can get them anytime from 18wks. i have had them on and off from about 23wks

ei23mummy · 02/10/2005 01:19

evening ladies!! as you can prob guess i cant sleep again but its prob due to the fact that i had a v lazy day today with dp waiting on me!!
have also been out with dp and my mum and dad which was really nice!!am gonna go back to bed in a mo but i thought id post first as i aint had much time recently to get onto MN due to a cleaning frenzy thats overtaken me- nesting already?? i wonder!!
bonkerz, iv also been having those kicks 'down there' and my m/w told me the bub is breech at the mo so maybe yours is too!! its not a particularly pleasant feeling being kicked in the nuts really is it!! iv been kneeling on the floor and leaning on my elbows to try to encourage the bub to move and so far it seems to change position for about an hour or so so maybe try that.
hope everyone is ok!!

dramaqueen72 · 02/10/2005 08:29

morning ladies. am up far to early after a late late night, ugh. but dd2 wont have it anyother way........think daytime napping is in order today!!!
lovely 'deep' conversation with dh last night, and lots of talk about birth and such. that was nice.
mind you as a result of which I am now -again- thinking more of a home birth. so speaking to midwife next week about that.
whats everyone up to today? aside from ALL STILL BEING IN BED!!! how am I!!! we are meant to have a DIY day today, but dh seems to be coming down with manflu. uh-oh!!! (and what timing...........) so who knows. maybe I'll have a diy day today!!
ei was going to say same thing, sounds like babies could be breech is the biggest feelings are down there. still lots of time to turn tho. i get the weirdest feelings almost over tops of my legs, where my huge bump almost sits at night, I think its hands moving about, or maybe nerves beng trapped? very very strange.
only 18days til my scan, so will see where baby is then!
ei sounds like a great day relaxing you had. lucky you!
ebbie sorry youre poorly, do get better soon.

george, were your ears burning last night??? I was telling my dh about you! all very good of course.
dh asked for a list of big items still needed for baby, so have wrote him one.......god that would be lovely if he just went off and ordered them himself!!!! fingers crossed everyone!!!

Nemo1977 · 02/10/2005 08:29

morning all

EI jealous of your lazy day..lol

well all up dressed and ready to go early here. PIL are coming for 8.45am to go to see thomas tank. Typically have already rowed with dh over him staying in bed till 7.30am and also over him not listening to me when I talk so I have to repeat myself about 10 times..lol Think its just because I am tired what with 8 toilet trips, baby kicking and waking me up then listening to adam talking to himself at 4am for him then to get up at 6.15am...sigh.Sorry to moan. Anyway am sure Thomas will be worth it..I hope
