What fun - Madame Zaritska reckons I will have a 15 hour labour, deliver in the afternoon (good - I can be home by bedtime), have a baby boy (correct) with blue eyes (like mine?). He will be born on a cloudy day (good chance in October) and he will weigh 8lbs 15 ozs (oh God I hope not)

ButtonMoon · 06/10/2005 12:05

Just had a a show and now keep getting pinky discharge Really dull and achey down the bottom of my bump too....but had that for a while now....could this be it? A very different start to DD's labour if so. Got to go to mw at 1.20 so will ask her then.

Redtartanlass · 06/10/2005 12:11

Lexie100 · 06/10/2005 12:12

Buttonmoon - sounds like all the things that it says in the books..... Good luck

I am just back from my accupuncture session . I have to carry on the treatment for another four days. I find it hard to believe that burning a stick beside my toe is going to turn the baby, but it's worth a try. The hardest bit is going to be trying to persuade DH to do it for me because there's no way I can reach my toes!! I can hear his muttering about witch doctors already!!!

Hope everyone is bearing up.

We are quiet today. I have cleaned the house again and went and bought Harry Potter for some easy reading.

Having BH every 10/20 mins today but not painful, no show or any other positive signs. I think i'm going to be stuck like this for weeks.

morningpaper · 06/10/2005 13:42

JandBM that MUST be bad!!!

Tidied house and just been to Sainsbury's - how the FECK did I just spent fifty QUID on party food for five 3 year-olds?

ButtonMoon · 06/10/2005 13:42

Hi all...just been to mw all excited and she says that a show doesn't really have any significance, she is more interested in period type cramps !!! Well am getting those on and off so surely before my EDD!!?? The growth chart now shows that bump is at 39 weeks (as I am) but mw says usually you measure smaller at this stage!!?? Anyway looks like around the 10lb mark if it comes on time!!

Redtartanlass · 06/10/2005 16:29

Back from mw, she said 'Oh you're really close, don't think you'll last the weekend' I said 'Grrrrrrrrrr you said that 2 weeks ago

Anyway, after the flurry of activity we seem to have all slowed down again!!! It's dead exciting to see who's going to be next eh?

ooooh first double post, how did I do that!!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/10/2005 17:20

Someone else tell me they are suffering with constipation PLEASE!

Have jsut managed to "go" after needing all day.... had a few tightenings since going so wondering maybe if it was that the stopped the developments?!

SO annoying as being a potential Chrons sufferer i usually have NO problems going and usually quite the opposite to constipation!

Lexie100 · 06/10/2005 17:21

i'm having my final push tonight with a curry followed by pineapple and raspberry leaf tea. If that doesn't work then i think it will be a self inflicted c section!!!

morningpaper · 06/10/2005 17:37

Ohh I'm crapping for England too. I did this last time though and still managed to churn out a bathload of the stuff during labour.

Moomin · 06/10/2005 17:37

hi all. i'm still here. big congrats to everyone that have hatched so far. ive been sleeping better, now ive discovered the wonders of tamazipan which the midwives assure me is safe - but at this stage i dont really give a monkeys, as long as i get some shuteye.
found out today i'm 1st on the list monday unless there are any emergencies so should be 'done' by 10ish. sorry cant write in more detail but this keyboard really is minute and my fingers arent!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/10/2005 17:44

its just not fair anymore.... it cant be healthy to be thinking I NEED THIS BABY OUT NOW 24 hours a day...

morningpaper · 06/10/2005 17:45

Hmm really benzodiazepines aren't allowed during pregnancy/breastfeeding - I only know this because it's the same family as Valium and I would give my right arm to have Valium during labour but it's not allowed anymore.

morningpaper · 06/10/2005 17:46

I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight because tomorrow is dd's third birthday. Two children on the same day three years apart...? Tell me I won't...!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/10/2005 17:47

Nah MP - you will still be here with me in November.... yeah right!

Im going to be the last one to drop - i can see it!

I really dont feel very well though, really sicky headachey and crap.... not a bug because ive had it already.... GRRRRRR

Lexie100 · 06/10/2005 18:00

Just on the off chance that this baby does ever decide to come out - timing contractions. Is this right?

To determine how far apart the contractions are you begin timing at the start of a contraction, and end timing at the beginning of the next contraction.

To determine how long a contraction is, you begin timing at the beginning of a contraction, and end at the end of the same contraction.
