hi MB... hope you are ok.

Not long to go now girls.... it really is a case of any day now isnt it!

Hope to catch up with my sleep later when Jess has her nap - although after her marathon 2.5 hours yesterday, i might be lucky to get an hour today!

DH will be home at about 4pm so may have to sneak off for an hour then!

shama · 05/10/2005 08:34

CONGRATULATIONS marinda and fastasleep!

Based on the latest scan, they have given me 14th october as the due date.
So am i going to be the last one on this thread??
Can't wait much longer.

mawbroon · 05/10/2005 08:35

Hi J&BM. Yes, any day, but I also have the chance that my baby will turn (doubt it) or the ECV might work (hmmm) and then I could go two weeks over. So I could be any day, or another 5 weeks! No excuse for not cleaning the kitchen then....

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 05/10/2005 08:39

I could be another 4 weeks if i go 2 weeks over - NOT a thought I like much!!!

morningpaper · 05/10/2005 08:42

I slept TERRIBLY as well - I think my photos shocked me at the size of the thing... and I'm REALLY nervous about when this baby is going to come... dd's 3rd birthday on Friday and I SO don't want to miss it! I'm a nervous wreck!

mawbroon · 05/10/2005 09:00

MP - I saw your photo on the other thread. Impressive - but I will probably be able to give you a run for my money if I make it to 40 weeks!! I have stretchmarks which I thought were just at the sides on my hips, but DH kindly(!) brought me a mirror so that I could see that they actually go all the way round the bottom of my bump

I'm going to get off my arse now and do some tidying up and possibly some gardening. At least I am dressed and showered today - that didn't happen until 2pm yesterday

morningpaper · 05/10/2005 09:15

Mawbroon I HAVE got stretchmarks - all under my bump in horizontal lines. They all appeared secretly and I spotted them in the mirror - much to my HORROR!

Lexie100 · 05/10/2005 09:53

morning all,

Having not really slept last night managed to get two hours straight and just woken up. DH took the dog for me so have the morning to potter. This baby has to be coming soon as had period type pains again last night and what felt like a BH from 6pm all night my tummy was rock solid.

take care today and don't over do it

Firstly, big congrats to Marinda and Fastasleep.

Mawbroon - check your email, I sent over some info. Not sure how useful it is, but hope it helps.

For all those chatting in the middle of the night (!) hope you get some shut eye today. No doubt I'll be joining in the late night (early morning) chatting tonight because I'm going into hospital tomorrow and already really nervous.

Mum's having her op today so fingers crossed that it all goes well.

Will post later!

Elf xxxx

grannygoose · 05/10/2005 10:55

I was also awake half the night with strange backache - only on one side?? I really thought something was happening, so forced myself to lie still and try to sleep so that I was "rested for established labour" - bad idea. Just succeeded in keeping DP awake all night.

Just imagine all round the world, all the mums due in October, lying awake, aching and groaning just like us.

On the plus side, we will soon join the ranks of FA (NS) and Marinda - Hooray.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 05/10/2005 11:40

Well Jess has just gone for a nap - i should get my head down too but DH is on his way home already, so will be home at 1.50pm - all afternoon to sleep - hoorah!

Jockey · 05/10/2005 11:45

Fastasleep
Marinda

Well done both of you & welcome to your lovely girls.

Redtartanlass · 05/10/2005 11:47

Quick hello to lyra41, who popped in when she couldn?t sleep, poor wee soul.

Grannygoose and Lexie, know what you mean about aches and pains, you try not to get your hopes up, but you just can?t help it Tri ? hope your bump is feeling better today.

Oh Elf, at least you know that by the weekend you?ll have a lovely wee bundle in your arms, but thinking of you and your mum Hey mawbroon, what you getting from Argos, anything exciting

Susis ? I just think I?m going to fall to pieces when dp goes back to work .

Last week, I got myself up and dressed, briefcase packed, ds2 up breakfasted and ready for nursery, before checking my diary, working out my route map for the day and answering 20 million messages on my voicemail. All in the hour before I started work.

This week it took me 3 hours to get myself and ds2 ready to go to the park.

Ahhhhh what?s happened to me!!!

Jockey · 05/10/2005 11:58

Elf - wishing you all the very best for tomorrow, and your mum for today. Really hope it goes well. xx

Dh is now out of hospital. We had to wait ages for his medicine before they'd let us go. (I was getting desperate to come home and check this thread!) I had to park at the top of a steep hill as no spaces in the car park & thought I was going to have baby there and then after that walk back up! Everything's calmed down now though .

Redtartanlass · 05/10/2005 12:00

Also, just a quick hello to Moomin, as we haven?t heard from her since Sunday, hope you?re ok

Redtartanlass · 05/10/2005 12:01

Jockey, glad your dh is out, how long will he be poorly. Is it days, weeks or months.

YOKEFLEET · 05/10/2005 12:43

Just a quick message, our little one has arived safe and sound.....a lovely little boy, 7lb 15oz was born on the 3rd at 16.23pm we have named him Thomas James. We came home last night and all going ok so far. I will catch up with you soon! I am so tired!!!

Jockey · 05/10/2005 12:45

Regarding dh, they tried to keep him in another couple of days but we played the trump card (or should that be "bump card"!). He probably won't be 100% for a couple of weeks and will need to drop his hours at work. But at least he will be well enough to drive me to hospital. Honestly I wasn't expecting to be buying old men's slippers in the hospital shop when I married a toy boy! (He's five years younger than me.) He's never been in hospital ever but I guess that's life!

Is your dp any better?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 05/10/2005 12:47

YF - CONGRATS HUN!

Jeez, nothing for DAYS and then 3 in one go!

Hopefully ill not be too far behind you all!

Jockey · 05/10/2005 12:48

CONGRATULATIONS Yokefleet!!! Look forward to hearing more in due course.

Redtartanlass · 05/10/2005 13:00

CONGRATULATIONS YORKEFLEET

Redtartanlass · 05/10/2005 13:03

Yes my dp is better thank God, he left me a lovely card thanking me for all my 'help' while he was ill, and apologising for not being able to help me. God I love him.....

Well I can't be drunk so I must be out my head on hormones, as I'm never that soppy.....

Is pneuniam(yes I Know wrong spelling!!), infectios?

mawbroon · 05/10/2005 13:10

Yokefleet - huge congratulations right girls - who's next?

Jockey - pleased to hear that your DH is on the mend. Did I misread, or is he going back to work almost straight away? Surely he needs some time to recupperate. (sp)

RTL - I'm waiting for a wardrobe from Argos. I got a big bag of baby stuff that my nephew has outgrown and then realised that I have nowhere to put it - or the bedding, or all the other keech that I have accumulated so far. Luckily DH is a dab hand at these flat packs, so it shouldn't be a stressful exercise putting it together. Famous last words I'm sure!!

I have just munched my way through half a pack of McVities caramel digestives. I can't stop eating crap just now despite having been fairly healthyish throughout. I KNOW I'll pay for it in the hip and thigh department afterwards but that prospect still isn't enough to stop me. How am I going to fast for 8 hours if I have to get a section.....

Lexie100 · 05/10/2005 13:19

Please let me be next as i really have HAD IT with these BH and false contractions. I'm completely fed up with all the twinges, aches and pains. Poor Dh doesn't know what to do with me... ohhh there is another BH if i have had one today i have had 100000

OP posts:
jessicaandbumpsmummy · 05/10/2005 13:19
