Oh Supersunny, Knackered and Leroy!! am so so so pleased for you. Its so brilliant to hear some lovely news on here..(and still PML'ing at "bob")

8rubberducks Im sorry to hear your feeling so miserable Sad. It helps at all (although Im sure it doesnt) its highly unlikely that this will go on for much longer.. Hopefully you will start to feel better as the second trimester looms.

Clench theres something about hitting the 10 week mark that feels postitive, isnt there? dont know why, think its the double digits.

Oh Moomin Im so sorry you've had such a crap day Sad that sounds awful.

[whispers "I hate take that.. runs and hides]

Oh yes, the ring is horrible!! Kate is so beautiful though..

Yay for all the scan good news :) congrats ladies!

moomin sorry your boss is being such an unsupportive bitch, just remember what goes around comes around and all that...

i have a rather tmi question so hope you won't mind me asking...
is anyone else taking pregnancy multivitamins? more specifically the pregnacare ones? i've started taking them before bed as somone suggested on here to help with ms and just recently have notice my wee has an almost flourescent glow of a morning. the only other time i've noticed it was when i used to take berocca so i assume it's similar to this and not just another freaky pg symptom? i had a uti test a couple of weeks ago which was clear so guess everything is ok down there just freaks me out a little! anyone else noticed this?

sorry for my appauling punctuation my laptops choosing to be especially shit this evening!!!

bananarama05 · 16/11/2010 22:11

moomin I thought that about the ring too. Wills and Kate look happier than Charles and Di ever did so I don't think it would be jinxed.

On the Robbie topic- hmmm on the advert he said 'there was nothing else for me to do than be in take that' too bloody right he must have seen £ signs!!! Why does he get the first line in the lastest song too- huh!

Sorry that your boss is being a bitch moomin! Angry Work has been quite hard recently (working in a school with inspectors crawling all over it) and I'm just thinking in the grand scheme of things it means nothing! That stops me stressing about it all. On a positive note I told my boss today and she was so lovely Grin she said she was so pleased and it will give everyone a lift to have some good news for a change!

moomin156 · 16/11/2010 22:21

clarkie my colleagues are all delighted for me, even had some congratulation cards. i dont think morale is low, its just her. its always a stressfull time as noone wants to work over christmas but someone has too.....having to rewrite just delays and causes more stress. I just want to be poitive for my bean but take things so personally and today have been so OVER emotional its unreal. i know im going to sleep badly and im sooooo tired

Oh can't believe I missed the Take That chat (sorry to those who hate them Grin)

Have accepted Robbie's there now. Considering how much I cried when I was 13 and he left I suppose I should think it's good! Mainly feeling that the thing that has kept them going is the will-they-won't-they shenanigan which the press like to peddle, and this might feel like the end of the story so the press will lose interest. S'pose they couldn't spin it out forever though.

Grin for banana's fluorescent pee Grin

knackered76 · 17/11/2010 05:09

Far too early morning all! I have been awake since 2.15am and finally gave up trying to sleep again about 20 minutes ago. I am now eating toast and feeling sorry for myself at the the prospect of the day ahead with only 3hrs sleep . . . .bit too early in the pregnancy to be getting used to this much lack of sleep Grin

Banana - i used to take some sort of vitamin that did the same thing :) On Boots own pregnancy ones and they don't have that affect but pretty sure it's fine Grin

Oh the ring . . . I would be so disappointed with that (yes I know, hideously ungrateful, good job he's not marrying me!).

Clarkie - glad your boss was nice, makes it seem more real when people are excited for you :)

Leory - You sound very together about dp. Can't say he has covered himself in glory so far in my opinion so it's a good job you sound so together :)

Barbie - all mine have been Bob! Comes from Blackadder when Bob was clearly a girl pretending to be a boy. So far it hasn't confused the gender as we have a clear case of one each :)

Moomin - for a while there (although long gone now I expect) we had the commemorative Radio Times!

Well off for another piece of toast and see what rubbish is on tv this early . . . or maybe make the packed lunches!

Happy Wednesday ladies Grin

Another non-sleeper here. I haven't had a good night's sleep for nearly six weeks. I woke up at 3.26am this morning and then just lay there until 7.

I watched The Back-Up Plan last night which was an absolute pile of crud but did make me think a pregnancy pillow is a good idea. But it's not ms or physical discomfort waking me up. I just wake up every day.

So happy for all those with happy scans :)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 17/11/2010 08:21

Morning everyone!!

Moomin - sorry to hear your boss is such a bitch :(

Takethatlady - at last!!! Can't believe it has taken this long for her to get in contact with you!

mrsbigw · 17/11/2010 08:32

Must be something in the air this morning as I woke up just after 5 & couldn't get back to sleep. And I promised my friend I would go to the Trafford Centre with her today but I really don't feel up to it. That is so not like me, ususally I will got to the shops any chance I get but I have only been when dragged out these last few months.
Hope work goes OK for those of us having a hard time there at the moment.
Anyone got a scan today? Still counting the days til mine (7)!

moomin156 · 17/11/2010 09:16

morning everyone, thank you all for your kind words. Managed to sleep a little on and off but i had such an active mind its hard. Eyes looklike p**sholes in the snow this morning. Thought we were supposed to be blossoming.
Dont want to go to work later now, hate it when that happens as i generally love my job but when they make me feel like shit i just lose interest and motivation.

Hope everyone is ok today and not too tired and sicky. Hope we have more good news from anyone with scans.

Got my booking in apt with Midwife today - anything specific I need to do/ask/ remember to take? The only thing I can think of is to try not to throw up on her...having a bit of a relapse today on that front.
By the way, is anyone else constantly feeling cold at the moment? I dont mean weather related cold, I mean chilled to the bone shivering and unable to warm up without a hot bath or a big duvet? Been like if for weeks and its not like me at all.
Hope everyone is well today? Any scans?

knackered76 · 17/11/2010 09:37

Jasmine - you need to take a sample (you can pick up a bottle at reception beforehand). You can ask anything you want, anything you are unsure of or don't understand. It's quite early but you could also ask about choices of where to give birth, gives you something else to think about :) Hope it goes well, generally it's a lot of form filling and not very exciting!

8rubberduckies · 17/11/2010 10:10

Morning everyone, sorry to hear some of you have had bad nights sleepwise, my ds keeps waking up every night at the moment, and have to get him into bed with us. Last night he insisted on bringing his wooden trains into bed at 2am, and I woke up this morning at 6am to having them driven over my face!

Clarkiee my hair is a bit out of control at the moment. It's very thick anyway and now looks a bit like a bird's nest ... a visit to the hairdressers is in order I think. One other thing I noticed last time I was pg was that my skin was so greasy I had to stop using moisturiser on my face, and swapped to aloe vera gel. My skin on my body was dry and itchy, so had to use extra moisturiser everywhere else!

Moomin sorry to hear about work, my partner had exactly the same problem yesterday and came home really upset. He has just been made a manager and was showered with praise last week by all the management, only to be told in his one-to-one yesterday by his immediate manager that he is doing so badly this week he's regretting giving him the job! Shock. I will also suggest training our new baby to puke over him as well! Try and concentrate on baby, not work. I am very guilty of getting emotionally caught up in my job and spent a lot of my last pg stressing about other people, but will be trying to concentrate on myself and my dc(s) this time Grin!

Oh, and congratulations to all of you who've had scans! I can't wait! Smile

mrsbigw · 17/11/2010 10:31

Jasmine be prepared that the MW might ask you which screening tests you want to have so that you can be booked in/ excluded from these so it's worth deciding before you go. Also they always seem to ask whereabouts you are having your baby ie home or which hospital. Hope you have a nice appt.

LOL at trains being driven on your face 8RD I had spiderman scaling up my head as I lay on the sofa trying to rest last night!
