Congratulations Leroy and sunny! Nurse - really sorry to hear you are having such a rough time with your xp, as others have said hopefully this will all be for the best, at least now you have enough time ti get yourself organised in time to be settled before the baby arrives, and it sounds like your mum is a strong support so hope things go ok. Definitely echo what others have said though, please don't stay away from the thread because you feel negative, the thread is to support everyone whatever they're going through. There are posters on here who have been great at giving lots of individual support, sorry I haven't been one of them but I am lurking a lot reading what everyone's up to and sharing and responding when I get chance.
Sorry to hear that there has been more bad news with friends and family. Hope everyone affected is getting good real life support as well as support on here.
I am still feeling sick and have now hit 10 week mark so am feeling positive. Had a lovely booking in appt with my midwife at the weekend, she spent ages talking though both previous pg and births as I had complications and also had pnd with my first so she's
obviously keeping an eye on me which feels nice.
She's chasing up my scan date as have not had one
through yet.
Anywa, take care all. I think hugs are a good plan, work has been rubbish today so I could definitely do with one and always happy to hand them out!

clench234 · 16/11/2010 16:53

Forgot to say, mumofsnortpigs your photos were sooooooooooo lovely, thank you for sharing them. You all looked so content, fantastic advert for home birth. Really lovely to have a reminder of what this mammoth pg journey has at the end! A colleague brought in a 3 month old this afternoon which was lovely but he was grouch so I didn't get to have a cuddle and sniff!

catherineps · 16/11/2010 17:29

yay for good news today! :) Congrats to those who saw their babies - that must be so amazing!

I have finally had a voicemail from my midwife so she does exist, which is good news!

sorry not to reply to everyone individually but nurse don't feel you have to stay away.

Hope everyone's feeling OK this evening x

Clarkiee · 16/11/2010 17:43

Anyone noticed extra hair growing on their head? All around my hair line I have lots of hairs that are about an inch long. Don't mind it on my head (quite like it- apart from when it sticks up) but hope it doesnt start growing extra anywhere else!

sasamaxx · 16/11/2010 17:47

That's fantastic leroygibbs

petitech · 16/11/2010 18:40

yeah happy day today :) glad to see so many smiley faces on here...
I am getting soooooo fed up of feeling sick, I am definitely being sick less but the constant sick feeling is still there.... it's like a constant acid taste which I've found gaviscon does help with but still... I'm wondering if I feel rough because I'm eating stodge and not exercising too... but I can't seem to get myself to a point where I can eat healthy food and not be sick or rustle up the enjoy to exercise !

KaraStarbuckThrace · 16/11/2010 19:13

Evening all, wonderful news about all the scans!

Takethatlady - have you heard from your MW yet??

Clarkiee your hair will get thicker as less will fall out when you pg.

MW tomorrow for me. Will take a long scan pic and notes.

moomin156 · 16/11/2010 19:35

Evening all.......well done to all those who have seen there little ones today, fantastic news....

Sorry but i need to have my first rant on here, its going to be a me me me post.
Had an absolutley shit day at work, basically had an hours bollocking for absolute nothing. Got to relook at the xmas rotas that i didnt write as i had been kindly given both off and im not allowed. Apprantly im a shit manager and staff morale is low ( is it bollocks), im in budget, low sickness rates, high % of audits.
Got home and completely cried my eyes out for an hour. She knows im pg and dont need this shit. Hate it when im like this,.....just need my DH but he works away all week. So upset i dont want to eat and thats no good for me is it.
Sorry everyone i just feel really shit tonight

Evening all,

sorry it's taken so long to post about my scan. Got back, manic dash to get dc's and 1 extra, went to a friends, came home put dc's to bed, had dinner and now here I am! Scan was fine :) Super chuffed as my symptoms have totally gone now, boobs don't even hurt anymore! After my poor friends news yesterday I was a bit concerned but with apparently no reason! Measuring right on dates at 11+1, arms and legs wiggling all over the place and a nice strong heartbeat. Managed to see bit of comedy Bob hitting himself on the head as well (got his mother's coordination!).

Sorry to those of you still feeling sick :( Fingers crossed it doesn't last too much longer.

Leroy - Grin fab news on your scan. It's such a relief to see isn't it!

catherineps glad your midwife does exist :)

Now I need to book in an appointment to have my bloods done (was putting off incase I got stuck for no reason!).

Have a happy evening everyone!

takethatlady · 16/11/2010 19:46

Congrats supersunny and leroy and lots of good luck and hugs to nurse - definitely don't stay away, and well done on being so strong.

Have finally heard from the mw - feel a bit guilty as it's hardly her fault the system they've got in to replace her is crap. She left a message on my phone and I've got to ring her back on Thursday.

Just did another Clearblue digi even though I'm 8+2. It took an unnervingly long time to tell me pregnant 3+ Shock Grin

Sorry for those who are sick. nmcb I'm looking at you.

Hope everyone else is listening to one of the fastest-selling albums of all time Grin

takethatlady · 16/11/2010 19:46

OH! Cross-post!

Congrats to knackered too!

mrsbigw · 16/11/2010 19:48

Your line manager sounds like an arse Moomin she has probably been bollocked herself & has unfairly taken it out on the nearest person. Horrible for you. Hope you are feeling better soon x

Lovely scan news leroy

Not noticed more hair clarkiee but my hair is much shinier I have had to change my shampoo & conditioner to stop it looking greasy.

Hi to everyone else, the nausea is definately worse in the evenings for me & I think I will be hitting the bed as soon as I get the little ones in tonight.

mrsbigw · 16/11/2010 19:49

x post; glad the scan went well knackered :)

knackered76 · 16/11/2010 19:49

x post moomin - so sorry you had a shit day. Your manager sounds like a tw*t. Have a bath, or what ever it is you like to do to relax. When you feel a bit better try and eat something, phone your dh and have a rant/cry to him and then spend some time thinking about the baby you're growing, so much nicer to think about then a shit day at work. Hope your evening is better then your day.

takethatlady · 16/11/2010 19:50

Oh moomin I missed your post too - so sorry.

Yep, line manager sounds like a total bitch. Even if she had genuine reasons for wanting you to do better (which it totally sounds like she hasn't) being such a bitch about it isn't going to work. Sounds like she could learn a thing or two about raising staff morale, for a start.

When your baby is born you should get it to puke on her Grin

moomin156 · 16/11/2010 19:58

thanks everyone for your kind words........just want to get the next few months out of the way and then leave......and im sorry but they will be in shit as i have taken that unit to where it is now over the last 9 years.......but the last 12 months have been shit with this manager and this baby is coming at the right time for me to say screw you.........thankfully DH has a good job and we can manage without the full maternity package. Just my luck i will have bad news at my scan as i have no symptoms and that will bugger it all up

Liking TTL's idea of having your wee'un puking on nasty line manager Moomin. I've worked for some complete arses in my time, but have had the luxury of not giving a damn about my job and therefore just leaving. Just keep you eye on the prize, your adorable baby.

Pleased my hugs have made others feel better. I've been sitting on my arse most of the afternoon and managed to eat so feeling a bit better. Mummy2 I've lost weight mostly due to a lack of food. I'm trying to eat what I can when I can, but I keep going off foods and have trouble being in the kitchen so it's hard. Taking my multivits and getting some food in though, so not starving bump to much.

How is everyone else?

Also was it bad of me, that when I found out the Wills has finally propsed to Kate, the first thing I thought was, just don't get married the week Jelly Bean is due, because I don't want them stealing my limelight?! (yes daft I know, but I'm important too! In my head)

moomin156 · 16/11/2010 20:24

but would you want such an 80's engagement ring from such an unhappy marriage......i wouldnt.
I have my nans which is simple and old but it was from a happy but shortlived marriage

On a totally unrelated top takethatlady what do you think about Robbie coming back...I'm really not sure you know, watched some of the documentary recently and he really got on my nerves!
Might have opened a can of worms here :)

moomin156 · 16/11/2010 20:42

Dont think they needed him as much as he needed them. Personally i think it was a big mistake.

OP posts:
petitech · 16/11/2010 20:50

I agree, I feel bad for Howard and Jason...they got more of the limelight and now he's back it's like, get to the back boys... the ego has landed!

sasamaxx · 16/11/2010 21:16

Totally - I never liked Robbie - he irritates me immensely. What are his facial expressions and head movements all about?
I don't think Howard and Jason look at all happy about it. If this spells the end of Take That I will be RAGING Angry

Congrats on your scan knackered

moomin - I haven't seen the ring but you're right - bet it's totally eighties - yuk!

moomin156 · 16/11/2010 21:18

sasamaxx........surely you know Dianas ring, its a huge round blue saphire surrounded by diamonds. very 80's
