Bewitched · 22/10/2005 17:38

JuA - congrats on finding out about your little girls. Suggest you tell DH that you're naming them after him - Bah and Humbug!!!!

Flame - hope the resting is doing you good.
Have to say that I'm thinking like you in that Chip must be a boy to help even things up on here!

Jasnem - have a great week away.

How will I ever make it out of bed and down to Olympia at a sensible time tomorrow? I didn't get up until 11:30 today!

Hope everyone else is having good weekends.

Frizbe · 22/10/2005 20:18

Enjoy olympia ladies shop till you drop!

Jasmem, enjoy your mums!

flamebat · 23/10/2005 08:03

You go look longingly at nappies for me!!!

I'm doing much better - rested lots yesterday, and finally starting to stop aching

Bewitched · 23/10/2005 08:42

Will do flame! Glad to hear you're feeling a little brighter.

Off v shortly, so catch you all this evening.

Bewitched · 23/10/2005 16:14

I'm back!

Flame - got some totsbots fluffles . Pack of 15 plus 4 wraps and nippas (for doing up) for £88 . Normally £148 - they were offering 20% off anything ordered at the show, but 40% off the packs that they had there rather than them have to take them all back to Scotland!

Also got a change bag - not beige in the end - boring black, but quite practical, so hopefully I'll like it as much in use as I do now.

Also got baby monitor for £64 instead of £80 (BT digital monitor plus), and ordered pushchair direct from Mountain Buggy for £20 less than even Kiddicare sell it for.

Also got a few babygrows and babygown from some treehugging company, but they were irresistably soft .

Off to play with my new purchases and read all the leaflets now.

Oh, and to make those of you who didn't get to go feel better, there weren't many freebies. Think I managed to get a dummy and a handful of sample size toiletries, but that was it.

Hope all you other visitors got back ok - was great to meet you all .

flamebat · 23/10/2005 18:59

I wanna buy nappies!!!

There was no way I could have managed it, even if I had got there though, still aching sooo much. I'm thinking this is what happens when you have a toddler to carry lots??

Glad you all had a good time though

Frizbe · 23/10/2005 20:28

Glad you had a good time bewitched!
Flame you have my sympathies, dd had a refuse to walk down the road moment this am, and it was quite a long road to carry her home down....

TicTac · 23/10/2005 21:09

Evening all...just back and out of the bath.
Bewitched, 3k and Thell it was lovely to meet you all! Always nice to put a face to a name.

Hmm, I seem to have done well on the freebies (although have not looked yet, DH has just emptied the boot) but it ranged from Avent products to Persil to small cuddly things.

I managed to buy breast pump and Avent botle starter kit (about £25 saving)
Sleep bag (no idea on saving but was gorgeous)
Lambskin (£29 but range anything up to £70 normally)
Monitor - same as Bewitched!
Hmm, I am sure there was something else....can't remember! Wil lhave to post an update when I have rumaged!

I just came home and got straight into the bath! Was so achy and stiff from the show and all the driving we have done this weekend...1000 miles in total and then back off to ork in the morning so shattered already!!

3K - How did the scan go????

Chloe55 · 24/10/2005 08:42

Morning girls,

Glad you all enjoyed the show and I'm jealous of all your savings!

Congratulations on the girls JuA, still overwhelmed at the amount of girls everyone is having.

My nursery is officially finished and cot is up too - really easy to assemble TicTac and it fits in the room really well, we were a little concerned it might be too big. So, I'm almost there for the big items and we have only had to fork out for the cot so far, everything else has been brought by very generous friends and family

poppyh · 24/10/2005 08:45

Glad you all found some great bargains at Baby show.Am very jealous!!
Have my scan at 7pm tonight and am excited at the thought of maybe knowing the flavour!!

JuA · 24/10/2005 10:22

Sounds like you all had a good time at Olympia. That sounds like a bargain price for the tots. dd wears original tots and they are great, I think we are going to get some Bimbles for the babies as they are slightly smaller fitting and so will fit better as I shouldn't be having 2 big babies (or at least I hope not!)
Chloe - I can't believe your nursery is ready! That is so organised! I still don't have a list of everything I need to buy!
Good Luck with your scan Poppy

flamebat · 24/10/2005 10:24

Amanda!!! So pleased to hear from you. We are all thinking of you so much.

xxxx

Chloe55 · 24/10/2005 10:29

Glad to see you are back on line Amanda

Frizbe · 24/10/2005 10:40

good to see you back Amanda!
Chloe finished already wow your a star!
Poppy H goodluck with your scan today!

Chloe55 · 24/10/2005 10:55

Believe me, I am not ever this organised about anything! I am just getting a bit overexcited I think. Mum laughs at me because I am normally so dozy, she reckons I'll be coming home without my baby in tow from the hospital because I will have forgotten him! What faith my mother has in me as a mum

Frizbe · 24/10/2005 10:58

nah it'll be when you leave baby in the trolley at tescos or something like that!!

thell · 24/10/2005 11:54

Morning everyone.
Tictac, Tabs & 3K - lovely to meet you yesterday. Such a shame we live so far apart!

The show was good - I bought a Tots bots multipack and a sheepskin that saved me lots of cash, so glad I bit the bullet and got out the debit card! Also glad I did some reading about what I wanted to buy before I went. There were so many nappy companies, and it got so busy, I don't think it's a good place to do your research!
Hence no buggy yet - couldn't get near enough to the stands to get a proper look! Back to the product review pages,...

poppyh · 24/10/2005 12:00

Thanks for all good wishes. Will let you know tomorrow how scan goes.

flamebat · 24/10/2005 12:29

Chloe - I left the hospital after having DD, and forgot all the meds I was meant to be on (they had no idea what was wrong with me, so dosed me up on anything they could )... I was back 1hr later to get em

Everyone was all that I left DD with DH so soon, but I wanted the 20 mins to be by myself for a bit.

Bewitched · 24/10/2005 12:35

Amanda - good to hear from you - stay strong. xx

Poppyh - good luck with scan from me too. Hope baby co-operates so that we can all find out the sex!

Thell - the tots bots were too good a bargain to pass up weren't they?! You did say you were planning to get One Life when I saw you didn't you?

Chloe - you are organised. Suppose I really should get on and order my nursery furniture! Don't suppose anyone on here wants a single bed (wooden, slatted base with draws underneath) and could collect from n herts???? Need to get rid of it to make room in nursery, and although in-laws would like, they can't clear enough space amongst their own junk for it!

thell · 24/10/2005 12:57

Bewitched - I had already decided on Totsbots, so made a beeline for the stand! Am currently doing pushchair research. They are SO expensive.
Don't think I'd mentioned One Life - what is it??!

thell · 24/10/2005 12:58

PS Could you not fit the single bed in the loft for when Chip is a bit bigger?

Bewitched · 24/10/2005 13:36

I think they're another make of nappy, but I hadn't heard of them until someone mentioned them yesterday - obviously wasn't you though!!!

No, bed won't go up through hatch into loft, so it's gotta go!

Grr - am getting really p1ssed off with all the site problems stopping me from posting now!!

TicTac · 24/10/2005 14:07

Hi All,

bewitched...now if it was a double..that would have been a yes from us! But we have a single to shift ourselves :-)

Chloe - Boots messed up big time, now cot should be here this saturday...let you know how it goes. Glad to hear it is easy though!!!
