Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Bewitched · 21/10/2005 16:26

Well you won't have to worry about all the kids in class having the same name if you go for that

TicTac · 21/10/2005 16:29

Frizbe - Poppy and Daisy are our 2 top names at the minute

PMSL at Madison and TT - my friend says she would love a child and call it Madison..it fits because I knicknamed her "Trog" ages ago Her real name is Sacha by the way...which my dad calls Slasha....can't win!!

TicTac · 21/10/2005 16:30

Oh and Thel - PMSL big time at bogbrush!!!!

How about Frogmella or Spudulike...Harry Enfield if you can't remember!

Jasnem · 21/10/2005 16:51

I wanted to follow Jasmine with Lily and keep up the flower theme, But DP was having none of it. Also like Poppy and Daisy but don't rate my chances with DP there either.

He did seriously suggest Rizla as a name once though so maybe I should just ignore him!

Jasnem · 21/10/2005 16:54

Sorry I keep double posting. No idea what I'm doing wrong.

thell · 21/10/2005 16:56

PMSL!!!

Rizla!!!

YeahBut · 21/10/2005 17:04

Congratulations, Kando!! Six girls between us!

On the name thing, DH likes Tess and REALLY likes Abigail. I'm not overwhelmed by either of them. Problem is that we've named 2 girls already so I've used up my faves!

thell · 21/10/2005 17:27

A while again I was affectionately patting my chum's hubbie's rather rotund belly, and said
'Ahhhh, baby! What are you going to call it then David?'
He looked at me with a grin and said, 'Stella!'

JuA · 21/10/2005 17:53

hello - had my scan - all is well both babies are roughly the same size and they have estimated weights of 570g each! and they are..................................................girls!! so we haven't balanced out this thread at all! Dh reaction was - I will need a house with 2 bathrooms!!
We are going to have problems choosing names - we had 2 boys names but have only 1 girls name so far - Zoe - so I will be looking at all your suggestions.

fairydust · 21/10/2005 18:28

thaty's really nice frizbe - my sis has found out she's having a boy so ca'nt wait to get my hands on it

kando · 21/10/2005 19:16

Thanks ladies! The name game is a really difficult one - I've no idea really how we managed to choose names for dds 1&2 - I made copious amounts of lists and dh basically crossed all the names off! dd2 was the only name dh liked on my list of about 13 names! He's suddenly thrown "Alice" at me tonight (not literally, you understand!) which i actually quite like. I also really like Madeleine and Grace but he's not really that keen. I've printed off that list of top 100 names for the past 5 years and am going to have a good look at that to see if I can come up with anything else! Trouble is we have to choose 2 middle names because the other 2 have 2 each (although one of the names will be MY maiden name as we've already used my mum's and mil's!) Really must get on as my sister is coming out to visit us and I've got loads to do! Have a good weekend all, and let's keep rolling out those girlies!!

TicTac · 21/10/2005 20:55

Jua - Congrats on the girls...I feel VERY sorry for your DH though
what does 570g convert into pounds?

Frizbe · 21/10/2005 21:17

Yeah! congrats on the girls JuA!!

Fd will mail you soon promise!

Jasnem, how about Saffron as a name (or is it too Ab Fab?!)

Tictac fight you for Poppy!

Bewitched only mentioned it, as dh was doing a job at someones house (on a council estate) the other day and their dd had that name, he said the amount of times she was shouted at (picture fishwife shouting) by her name, made him wonder if it was the dd or the dog Would just like to add here, before I kick off a bicker, we used to live in council housing, for many years, so am trying not to stereotype all who may live there, but this particular person, made dh wonder.....

Someone mentioned another name to me tongiht, which someone might like to use
Haidi

TicTac · 21/10/2005 21:22

Frizbe...meet you in the playground
I have got a pretty cool name that has done me really well through my career so I didn't want a very standard or over used name for my daughter. It is fun to see the random spellings I get!

Thought of another one...
Piper (as in pie-per)

Frizbe · 21/10/2005 21:55

as in 'Charmed'

TicTac · 22/10/2005 02:07

Is that the witch programme? I never watch it but my sister does. Is there a Piper in that then?

JuA · 22/10/2005 07:46

Tic Tac - 570g = 1.25lb (I think)
Dh has decided he doesn't like Zoe - so we now have no names that we both like - these poor babies will be lucky to have 1 name between them by the time they are born!
I like Poppy and Daisy too - but can't persuade dh (btw they are Jamie Oliver's daughters names!)

TicTac · 22/10/2005 09:25

Thanks Jua :-)

Frizbe · 22/10/2005 09:41

Oh has he got a daisy too! lol knew he had a poppy....
Yep its the witch programme!
Have a good weekend folkes!

flamebat · 22/10/2005 10:28

Yay on the girlies!!! I'm pretty positive now that I am going to be balancing out this thread with a boy...

Another rough night here last night - I was aching all evening and spent it cuddled up to a hot water bottle (we've run out of paracetamol ). I then woke up in the night, and my lower back on one side was killing me, and round the side to the front I'm starting to wonder if my wee results will show up a kidney infection. I ended up in a warm bath at 3am to try and ease it (which it did), and i've woken up this morning achey and fragile

I'm going to spend all weekend resting in the hopes that things improve.

Quick DD update.... no dummy since Weds afternoon!!

TicTac · 22/10/2005 12:30

Flame...big hugs hun...must be horrid feeling so achey. Thank goodness we have baths hey!! I am bathing so much more now I am getting heavy. Seems to relieve ache.

Well done on the dummy too!

3K, Thell & Tabs...see you ladies tomorrow. We are heading off to the south in about 10 mins so wont be back on today. Tabs - you have got my mobile numebr so give e a bell if there is a problem.....other then that Catch you at the show!! (sorry Chloe)

Jasnem · 22/10/2005 17:33

Good Afternoon Girls,

Flame, rest up and drink lots, hope you feel better soon. And a round of applause for the dummy. Well done.

All of you going to the baby thing on Sun - enjoy yourselves, and think of us lot left at home.

Technically I won't be at home. Its 1/2 term and I'm taking my kids to visit my parents. I'll get to rest more , and the kids get entertained for me. I can't wait.

Take care, I'llcheck in on you in a week or so.
