Think I've just caught up with everything! Sorry about answering ancient posts from last Friday lol
DMC - have been told by the cranial sacral lady that I see that the headaches during the second trimester are hormone related and it should ease after a couple of weeks. Headaches seem to have subsided for me now so I hope your migraines are leaving you alone now too.
Cowboy So pleased that you are getting on with your new line manager, that could have been a bit tricky in your delicate pregnant state but it sounds as though all is well.
Jbells I am 16+2 now and started sticking out about a week ago - nearly 6 weeks earlier than I stuck out with number one but then once upon a time I had good tummy muscles...they never fully recovered but then I didn't do any exercise either so...Weight gain / loss is so different from person to person but I think the average over the whole pregnancy is about 2 to 2.5 stone. Don't worry if you put on more or less so long as you are well and baby developing well.
Qwerty So awful about your DS best friend. Memorial sounds like it was a good, helpful service and I hope your DS is coping ok.
Loopy Good to hear you and DH have had a long chat about IM. Any news about drugs at home?
Dontworry Will be doing single buggy plus sling with this baby (and probably a buggy board) but my DS will be 2.5 so that much older that your DS. If you have a reclining seat on your buggy you can always pop baby in there whilst you sort DS out perhaps? Just an idea and I don't know how it would work in practice yet...
Elf I was going to say to put a little bicarbonate of soda in your drinking water as it's really good for urinary problems including cystitis but it sounds as though it's a little more serious?!! Fill us in when you know what's wrong.
Littlemilla have also had movement - little flutterings a few times a day, usually when I'm laying down.
Valz It was me that does DH and BIL's bookwork at home but it only takes me about 2 weeks part time every three months and I probably only do BIL's invoicing a couple of times a week so it's not a high pressure job at home. Your dad sounds like he was very insensitive. What's his relationship like with your children? Is he a complete workaholic? Is your mum around and can she intervene and give him a kick up the wotsit? I would say you should take all the maternity leave you're entitled to and ask him to treat you like every other employee - in other words, if he had said that to anyone other than family it is very likely he'd be taken to court IYSWIM. I bet you're really really angry but the best way to deal with this is to be really professional and not rise to it. Go and punch some pillows or have a good scream into one to let off steam. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Stripey Good to hear from you. Really hope the chemo is doing the job for your DD.
Sesame They always need asking to so the bloody cooking even when you're bent over the loo puking!! I am lucky enough to have a DH that can cook better than I can so it is at least edible food! Unfortunately his mum was a super mum and as I stay at home like she did the cooking is my job......humph. Hope you're feeling better anyway.
All is well with us although I'm having really vivid dreams and nightmares already about giving birth
Haven't been sick for a week now thank god and have decided now would be a good time to learn to bake bread (I have no idea why????!!!!) so first batch about to go into the oven...
Hello to everyone I haven't namechecked and sorry for the HUGE post!
