Morning ivy! There is something about 3am isn't there- I'm awake feeding LO every night at this time, my Ds was the same. It's the witching hour.

I hope your LO settles soon. It could well be milk coming in or the early growth spurt, or the kind of mood se is in right now Hmm

Ivytheterrible · 24/10/2010 04:52

Morning seashells she slept for 90 mins but then woke again at 4 and I've just done a marathon 40 min feed. Longest so far so lo defo has increased appetite!

Hopefully I'll get some snooze now until at least after sunrise.

Vikks · 24/10/2010 11:10

Bionic Good luck today! x

Ivy & SeaShells it seems like I'll never get to the midnight feeds (remind me I said that later). Grin

40+11! The full moon did not work! Sad
I've just had my 4th sweep and I'm feeling a little sore, I hope that's a good sign.....I'll let you know!

Thirdtimer · 24/10/2010 11:17

No full moon magic for me either. Increasing the reverse psychology method instead... oh no, I can't find any of the tiny baby clothes I had ready! Heavens, did I forget to buy a car seat... silly me! Isn't it lucky this baby doesn't seem to be coming out yet eh?! Wink

Xavielli · 24/10/2010 11:36

Full moon failure here too. I hope radio silence from Hermya means she had more luck!

Vikks Really hope this sweep works for you - C'mon baby!!

shieldbug · 24/10/2010 11:44

No full moon joy here. How about you Silver?

Come on Harry, it's time for you to make an appearance. Good luck Vikks.

Hermya Is this finally it for you? I do hope so.

Thirdtimer I tried the "oh no I'm in Tescos without a maternity pad" method of psychology but of course, nothing happened.

40+8

nymphadora · 24/10/2010 11:49

fingers crossed that hermya is busy

SamanthaB123 · 24/10/2010 12:38

I'm posting on my phone so will just do the bits I can remember...

Elsa Bronwen is much less common than Holly so for uniqueness it would be preferrable - it's unlikely there will be another in her class at school. I like it as Bronwen Holly personally.

Hermya I hope you are in labour!

Where is Dilly??? If you reading and not posting I hope you are ok.

All those who are waiting...it is so lousy to wait so long, I really hope that you are all bearing up. Your babies will be born soon enough now even if it doesn't feel like it. I am thinking of you all, I was very unhappy at the end.

Time to feed...

AbFabT · 24/10/2010 12:49

Ooh, where's Hermya?! Hope her silence means something is happening!

I was up at three for a feed too, was reading yours posts, but couldn't type as I was on the rocking chair rocking away, and if I stopped, DS let it be known he wanted to carry on rocking. He fed for an hour, stopped for a moment so I tried to settle us, but he wouldn't, so tried feeding again, and he did another 40 minutes. I am tired!

Sorry to hear the rest of you are still feeling full and impatient.

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 13:32

Nothing occurring here today. This morning I burst into tears in frustration. Then started panicking that I had not felt much movement but then the MW did say there is not much space left. Plus I am getting used to the movement so not noticing it as much.

I left the petrol in the car on low, didn't wash my hair etc etc in the hope that it meant that the baby would come! Clearly did not work.

Sweep tmw then who knows!!

To those waiting I feel your pain.

Tyson86 · 24/10/2010 15:45

Hermya hoping something is happening for you atm

It is my first day without dh as he has gone back to work after having 3 weeks off, ds is poorly as he's teething and Sophie is being an angel, remarkably everything is running smoothly so far and im very happy, even managed around morrisons with the tandem without crashing! Grin

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 18:27

H I am thinking you are otherwise engaged hence your MN silence! Hopefully you are engaged with labour and not just out shopping!!!

BionicEar · 24/10/2010 19:38

Hello!

So Hermya gone quiet then? Hmmm let hope baby producing is occuring or has happened by now then!

Update on my situation. Went for monitoring session again today - baby doing fine. Am still having mild contractions which were being picked up during monitoring session. Have instuctions to go back tomorrow if baby decide to be quiet again - if that occurs it's likely they will induce me.

If all well, won't need to go back until Tues when I have to see my Consultant. They have decided to put me back with Consultant given the games baby is playing at the mo. MW warned that they might decide to keep me after this appointment and induce baby, but nothing certain until I see consultant.

So looks like I've got to play the waiting game of "Will they induce me or not?!" over the next few days.

Elsa123 · 24/10/2010 19:39

evening everyone. please excuse the lack of caps, I'm typing one handed. The baby seems to much prefer feeding from my left breast than my right, but I try not to let her get away with it for evenness! Today's been a bit hard on the right hand side, I'm struggling to get the comfy latch. I don't know why its suddenly a drama.

I tried to read back on the old posts to catch up on who's had what, but I've given up! /big big congratulations to all of you who've had babies so far. The choices of names are all fab. Thank you for your inputs for our name choice. I think we'll go with Bronwen Holly and I'll let you know next weekend as we're back down south tomorrow and plan to register the birth on Thursday.

I have such a cutie. she's currently lying feeding with one hand over her eye protecting it from the light!

Good luck Hermya, fingers crossed for you!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 24/10/2010 20:05

I love that we all assume she's is labour, not that RL got inthe way lol. I surf whenever I feed, and given LO has fed every hour today I have forgotten there is a RL world beyond the guardian website and mn!!! Ds and dh have been entertaining themselves whilst I'm a milking machine Grin

nymphadora · 24/10/2010 21:14

hermya is going to be REALLY fed up if she isn't in labour and we all assumed she was Grin

Xavielli · 24/10/2010 21:41

Shes never been this quiet before :o

DP and most of his friends have got upset stomaches. Hoping very much that the kids and myself dont catch it! Thankfully baby is still not showing any signs of arriving which I am now quite glad about

moonstorm · 24/10/2010 22:44

hi all - no time to post much.

Hope the onerdue babies come soon.

Baby boy born 18.10.10 9 lb 1 oz. VBAC was great Grin Grin.

Will come back later with story, but things have been manic.

xxx

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 22:45

Ladies, if I end up having a November baby will you kick me out?

If the sweep doesn't work then my hosp appt on Wed will be to discuss being induced which will prob at the weekend I guess as this hosp I induce at 40+12.

The way things are going I can't see this baby arriving of it's own accord.

sam12 · 24/10/2010 23:31

Congrats moon glad it all went well. Looking forward to hearing your story.

Hope that thongs start moving silver at least the end is in sight one way or another. And I am sure you will be allowed to stay Grin

xav there seems to be lots of bugs going round at the moment. I have had an upset tummy today. Each time I get a wave of pain I have flashbacks to labour!! Hoping it clears up quick and I don't pass it on to dd

Tomorrow is dh last day off work and I am starting to panic that i can't do this on my own!!

sam12 · 24/10/2010 23:32

Sorry meant things not thongs!!

SilverSky · 25/10/2010 00:01

Ha ha things or thongs same difference!

Not looking forward to sweep that's for sure.

Congrats moon!!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 25/10/2010 02:27

Congratulations Moonstorm, look forward to hearing all about it!

Silversky, of course you won't get booted off Grin

Xav- friends have got v&d, I'm really hoping we avoid it, hope you do too.

LO has had trapped wind for hours and hours- seems to use it as anexcuse to cosleep so she can have her tummy rubbed!

Hermya321 · 25/10/2010 02:37

hello there!

I gave birth to an 8lb 3oz baby boy on the 24/10/10 called Asher. We're both a bit sore as I ended up needing help to get him into the world. Despite this he is beautiful and all things lovely. I'll post more later as I'm on my phone at the moment.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 25/10/2010 02:43

Congratulations Hermya, welcome Asher, what lovely news :)

So it wasn't RL after all!! I hope all is well with you both :)
