My cats climb in and sleep with ministew now (He's 2 and a bit). They do like cuddling up to warm people, or at least one of them does. So I was a bit worried about her. But they gave him a very wide berth at first. Stil do, when he's awake!

Ariesgirl · 17/10/2010 11:56

My cat's a one man animal. She makes it quite clear where her affections lie, so I won't worry too much. When MrA went away two weekends on the trot she moped around like a lovelorn teenager.

MrsFC · 17/10/2010 12:06

Just got back from the shops. I now have an electric blanket, hot water bottle, a thermos, two cats & a dog. Hope that covers everything.

The FC has been to B&Q & bought some salt for the path, while they still have some - after last year when he caught me using Malden to clear our bit of road. And NONE of the rest of the street did. [On my high horse emoticon]

He also say we can get a dog once mini FC is born. I've never had a dog. Not sure who is more axcited, me, the FC or the boy child...

Casserole · 17/10/2010 12:15

MrsFC you can have our dog. She was free and now we know why..... she is very needy, bless her. Mind you we were her 5th home and she was only 7 months when we got her Sad.

She is, however, lovely with ministew.

That's a good idea re salt, we always leave it too late. Will send Manstew out later. I also need cooking salt. AND table salt. He can go sodium cruising Grin

MrsFC · 17/10/2010 13:27

I have just stalked cass, and I would very much like your dog please! I love it when they look like their hair goes every which way.

Sodium cruising. I like the sound of that. And boys need a purpose on Sunday afternoons, it's good for them. The FC is on his bi-monthly tip visit.

OkieCokie · 17/10/2010 14:00

We just bought a load of (smokeless) coal and a few banned logs for t'fire. Boiler broke down last time I laid a babyeee so stock piling with things to make house warm just in case. I just sent to charity shop 1 unused still in box cat net. No chance ours will go anywhere near screaming baybeee. They "tolerate" mini C and actually I think they think he is OK but they don't like any other little people. Still they would never sit on his knee or his face voluntarily.

What is all this about boiling nips? Do you mean I have to feed it too? Don't they just eat cake?

I am hoping the water pool thang in the hospital is in fact a jacuzzi - that is what moo told me it was so I believe her. No point in getting into a pool thing if there are no bubbles.

SilverSky · 17/10/2010 14:12

I'll probably be able to make my own bubbles.

Bugger all on tv!!!! Bored.com.

rollerbaby · 17/10/2010 14:33

MORNIN! I am feeling tippity top today. Nice lie in, friends brought everyfink you can eat for brekkie (including chocolate for afters) and 3 kinds of papers. They cooked and now i am a slobbing on sofa avec pooch. Husbo is running bath... Ahhhhhhhhhh. I could seriously get used to this.

FC why is you acquiring salt in bulk? Are we expecting ice age in London soon? I am not ready for this...

Fank you for nice things on other place... I am getting my hair done more often its official.

SilverSky · 17/10/2010 14:54

Bright and breezy hunzer! Good on ya!

I was up before the birds and up to sort out the hoss with HI.

Strange day isn't it? Sunny yet windy and cold.

Have had a little nap on the sofa and now watching naff tv before I head out to walk k9.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Casserole · 17/10/2010 15:29

She doesn't look so cute anymore Mrs - her hair's not as shiny, it needs a cut and she smells a bit.... oh, and she's got a bit fat recently, on account of me not walking her as much as usual owing to the puking.

Oh dear God, just read that whole paragraph back and it could apply to ME.

MrsFC · 17/10/2010 15:34

Salt in bulk is because miniFC is due in Jan & I have the fear of being snowed in when contractions start...

Now. I live in zone 4 of that London, so it's highly unlikely, but last year the worst bit was getting off our drive (I say drive, I mean that bit at the front of your house that you can just squeeze a car on...) But last year there was no salt anywhere so we are Planning Ahead. The FC likes this - what with being an accountant n all.

honey you do so look lovely. I showed your picture to the FC, saying 'look - she is at 38 weeks - look how lovely she looks - there is no way I'll look that good'. The FC raised an eyebrow, and said that 'maybe if you didn't eat four cupcakes a day you'd have a fighting chance...'

This was then swiftly followed by 'but OBVIOUSLY you can eat what you want & I will always think you beautiful'

Hmmm...

rollerbaby · 17/10/2010 16:29

Back from dog walk... husbo knackered and gone to bed. Hmm something wrong way round here. What a gorgeous, leafy sunny day.

MrsFC you ARE so lovely. I could not let the fact that hair done/put face on for purpose/not wearing tracksuit and dog posing pass by. It may not happen again for some time and given that Mr Moo has only taken about 4 pics in my entire pregnancy I thought it was about time!

Back hurty but no sign of baybee. Come on silver!

ginhag · 17/10/2010 18:24

Sorry not caught up with Fred. Just here to ask that everyone who knows our lovely extreme (and fuck it, even those who don't) please send her all the best thoughts and love you can. She is worrying that the BOCs are not sticking, has had brownish blood and cramps. Of course all could be fine but she is very worried.

Light candles, sacrifice a goat, whatever suits you really. She asked me for the power of the ESH so please... Start NOW!!!!!

MrsFC · 17/10/2010 18:38

Candles are lit and I'm sending good vibes. Keep us posted how things go. Such a scary time x

rollerbaby · 17/10/2010 18:48

That's horrible for her - big sticky vibes and thoughts...

Umm question for the second timers - when things start happening are the period pains really quite feint? I can feel twinges right in the front of my pubic area, well under the bump. But really feint - not at all painful just, well, twingey. Back is really hurty at the bottom - lots of pressure, like you need a poo.

MrsFC · 17/10/2010 18:53

I'm a second timer, but I didn't have a contraction last time, so I can't help I'm afraid. Sounds interesting though...

rollerbaby · 17/10/2010 18:54

OK will keep eating mini crunchies for energy just in case.

Muser · 17/10/2010 19:04

My triple candle is burning for Extreme and her two BOCs. I hope they are just burrowing in there and causing scares.

TwinkleToes76 · 17/10/2010 19:24

Oh no, poor Extreme, how worrying. Will be sending velcro vibes her way.

SilverSky · 17/10/2010 19:27

Sending Extreme a speshal velcro candle to help with sticky BOC.

No news my end, tho I am carbing up in preparation for the marathon that is ahead = pasta for tea followed by half a litre of raspberry ripple ice cream.

Honey you are so gonna win this race you know.

Lots of people asking if the baby haz arrived yet - err if I am standing in front of you with a large gut still, then its probably quite unlikely non?!

MrsFC are you West London?????

CUNextTuesday · 17/10/2010 19:29

Candle lit xxx

rollerbaby · 17/10/2010 19:34

MrsFC sounds so posh with her off street parking casually dropped in there. Grin

Scorpette · 17/10/2010 19:57

Rising from my sick pit to light my candle and send my beloved 'Streme all the love in the world and a gazillion velcro wishes XXXX

OP posts:
OkieCokie · 17/10/2010 20:11

I lit my very best and favourite Jo Malone candle for extreme.

Yes, who manages to have off street parking in London? It have been necessary for me to park 2 streets away due to not being able to park in my own street never mind outside my own house.

rollerbaby · 17/10/2010 20:14

I know we've made it when I can pull through a pair of gates Grin Grin Grin and can buy a leaf blower.
