Honey you were in my dreams THREE times last night. Three! Count 'em!

This surely means you iz going to lay today.
(and in so doing, make me the sweepstake winner, but don't let that sway you)

Tis all.

AlpinePony · 18/10/2010 09:45

^^ sex dreams

rollerbaby · 18/10/2010 09:52

three times? god I really am persistent and annoying sometimes... I do apologise. :) I cannot lay today as this week is becoming very busy already. I haz okie coming round to eat a packet of biscuits with me... Maybe she can post whilst I am in labour?

I need reconstituted horse food. I am storing for days I tell you. Is not good. Fear for other side.

Casserole · 18/10/2010 10:01

Then you MUST lay today! At home, with the biscuits. Then Okie can keep us continually posted. Tis the perfect plan!

Medee · 18/10/2010 10:11

The older bump rubber, on saying goodnight, took my face in his hands, declared that he loved pregnant women and gave me a kiss on both cheeks. I told him I wasn't sure whether to be flattered or scared, but he's harmless if eccentric!

We've narrowed it down to a QuinnyBuzz (current hot favourite), or a Bugaboo, or something from Mamas and Papas.

It's SilverSky's DD, come on baby, 18 Ocotber is an excellent day to be born on!

MrsFC · 18/10/2010 10:55

Bugaboo Bee all the way for me meds...

maswera · 18/10/2010 11:00

Has anyone done preggy pilates & how have they found it? I have got a really uncomfortable back so am looking into various preggo classes to help - have found a pilates one (as well as a couple of yoga) but they insist on having a one-to-one session - for a huge wedge of £££, naturellement - before you start the class. Was thinking I would just go with the cheapo yoga gig, but would be interested if anyone has found pilates to be particularly good (umm, I don't even really know what it is....)

rollerbaby · 18/10/2010 11:05

Mas I did one class so can't speak for it really!

It is suppose to be absolutely fantastic for strengthening your core muscles and specifically if you have back issues already. They might give you a discount or a free intro one to one if you look into booking classes in bulk.

Muser · 18/10/2010 11:21

I do preggers pilates mas. It is lovely. I've only been to 2 classes, but we do lots of stretching and strengthening of the abdominals and pelvic floor so we can sneeze that baby out and still control our bladder afterwards.

I did not have to do a private lesson first though. My teacher has small classes (I think max of 12 but it's usually more like 8) and it costs £60 for 5 sessions or £12 if you pay per session. Which given the small class sizes and personal attention I think is great. I wouldn't do a big class. In our small class she spotted one of the stretches was hurting me before I'd even opened my mouth to say and was immediately over with a gym ball and an alternative for me. You don't get that in a big class and if you're not experienced you can end up lost.

Muser · 18/10/2010 11:23

By the way, I found my class through a friend who does the regular pilates. She swears by it, says she grew an inch from learning to stand straight and her aches & pains were much better after doing it. But I think the teacher is key.

I think she's also carrying it. :(

Casserole · 18/10/2010 11:45

BRILLIANT. Grin

Are you actually namechanging and making these up Alps ?

PerfectDromedary · 18/10/2010 11:57

Hold back, Alps. It would be a pain in the arse if you were banned just for being rude to randoms!

rocketleaf · 18/10/2010 12:10

mas are you in liverpool? I have a email contact for a pilates instructor who does a class near me (although I never managed to get in the class before I got diffed). They are attached to the liverpool yoga centre on town which several of my friends go to and has a good rep. You could email him and ask him for a recommendation if you are doing it up here? Let me know and I'll pm it you. Also I was reading one of the Liverpool doulas does pregnancy yoga and pilates at the Womens hospital.

I have stayed off work today as I woke up with a sore throat this morning. It has gone now and I feel like a bit of a skiver but, hey ho.

PerfectDromedary · 18/10/2010 12:20

mas Yoga and pilates are both good for backs. I think they will probably be quite similar for advanced preggo-ness - we're doing lots of back stretches and pelvic floor exercises in my yoga class. And muse is totally right - neither should ever be taught in big classes.

I'm struggling with the boredom factor of preggo yoga, though - was doing vinyasa/ashtanga before diffment and that's all sweaty and hardcore, so holding poses for HOURS seems tres dull.

PollyPoo · 18/10/2010 12:23

Oh dear. I appear to have just eaten a brie and salami bagette. Straight to hell for me then. It was bloody lovely though. Seriously though, are you supposed to avoid salami?! Oops. I must confess that this time around, I have not read any advice at all on what I should or shouldn't be eating. If I fancy it, I'm afraid I eat it. Blush

I would love to do preggo pilates but due to living in the arse end of nowhere there are no fecking classes. Even the lady who did the aqua-natal exercise class when I was diffed with Boo has disappeared. Sad Spose I'll just have to walk to the dog again.

rocketleaf · 18/10/2010 12:25

I am craving that baguette now pol I bloody LOVE salami. Think I need to go and make my self some lunch. boring soup or something. meh.

PollyPoo · 18/10/2010 12:32

It was delish Rocket. I melted the brie all over the salami... nom nom nom. Want another one now. Blush

CluckyKate · 18/10/2010 13:09

Must admit is was a bit of a shock to discover I still looked full-term preggers after sneezing out the baybee Silv - will stil a pic on t'other place so you can see. Takes a while for the old uterus to shrink back,t'is why.

Am liking the sound of brie & salami combo. Today's addiction is Toffee Poppets...on my third box & it's only lunchtime.

Bump touching is a funny thing, huh...why is it mostly men????

rocketleaf · 18/10/2010 13:32

I have discovered blue quality street are quite nice. Formally I would only ever eat the gold ones. It is either diffment or desperation as other wise there are only orange or strawberry creams left :(

MrsFC · 18/10/2010 14:01

Ooh, the orange and strawberry creams are my favourites! Never liked the toffee penny.

OkieCokie · 18/10/2010 14:16

Moo didn't lay a baybeee while I was there but we had a nice chat. And I even had to refuse the biscuits on offer as I have a poorly mouth and can?t open my gob that wide to eat (major issue for me!). Went to dentist and it is my bloody wisdom tooth again and basically I have to have it out. He reckons he can do it this week with local aesthetic but I am not so sure - surely the trauma would make me go into labour?! What would you lot do? The alternative is to use a mouthwash and take paracetemol and hope the pain eases and then have it out after baby. Maybe I don?t need the hassle of tooth extraction once baby comes so shall I just bite the bullet and have it out now? Oh, decisions decisions...Advise of the PESH needed plz.

OkieCokie · 18/10/2010 14:24

Anaesthetic even

PerfectDromedary · 18/10/2010 14:31

I AM SHOUTY!

You cannot buy maternity clothes on a Monday in Richmond because

The only specialist maternity shop is closed

M&S in Richmond does not have a maternity section

Gap doesn't bother to change the size of the arse and thighs of its maternity jeans (or I have already gone beyond the possibility of maternity jeans, but I can't bear to think that because I am too demoralised, shush.)

Next has closed

Where the fucking hell am I supposed to buy clothes from?

AlpinePony · 18/10/2010 14:37

Online. Or Mamas & Papas. Real shops are notoriously shit for maternity ranges - unless of course you have the cash & figure of Danielle Lloyd and are based in Cheshire. :( I can recommend Next maternity as their sizing is very generous! Grin
