GV, nesomja and namechanged - I can't wait for the milk to change, if change it does...DD is 28 mths but only one feed at night and sleeps in her cot (used to co-sleep).
Have you been doing the pantley-pull-off up until now then namechange? I can't remember what NCSS says about moving into cot/bed.

sasamaxx · 17/10/2010 21:26

Congratulations on the BFPs ajmac24 and agnesbrown

petitech - no advice I'm afraid but keep positive.

7+1 today - roll on 12wks...

No Sasa - I've just been pulling DC off when sleeping Hmm so I will try this technique - I'm dead against leaving to cry..
Thanks so much! Grin

pozzled · 17/10/2010 21:49

Petitech I do hope things work out for you. I haven't had bleeding myself but two of my friends had bleeds and went on to have very healthy babies. One of them had several bleeds in the same pregnancy and everything was fine.

cep Hope all goes well at the doctors- fingers crossed for you.

Have had a strange weekend, I've told some family and now sort of wish I hadn't. In some ways it would have been nice to keep the news to ourselves for a little longer. I've had a fair bit of nausea but the worse thing is how sore my boobs are! I don't remember getting that last time.

Hi everyone :-) Please may I join! Think I am due around the beginning of June but not quite sure. I know that sounds rubbish but I can't remember when last AF was :-( I have been doing some huge exams and thought I was late because of the stress but got BFP when I tested last week! Really excited but very surprised got pregnant so quickly again. DD1 is only 10 months! Thinking about requesting early dating scan. Anyway looking forward to a summer baby - DD1 was born on Christmas Eve!

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 17/10/2010 22:45

Quibbler - fab news!

Cep - hope you are okay - and STEP AWAY FROM THE GOOGLE! No need to worry yourself!

My DS stopped bfing back in July, both Sad and [happy] about it. There are quite a few tandem bfers lurking around who will have lots of good advice. I have noticed that some pg ladies reported their nurselings stop when your milk changes to colostrum, though they may ask for it again when your milk comes in after baby arrives. It's your call whether you allow them to feed or not! My DS is still a bit obssessed with my boobs, he likes to cuddle up to them and stick his hand down my top Hmm and I am trying to gently discourage him from doing that because, frankly, it is annoying! He calls them speed bumps for some reason lol - he sometimes likes to drive his little cars across my chest!!

Beesok · 17/10/2010 22:58

This thread is sooooo long :) Can't read all of it he he h
I am due June 14! Any mums in London (marylebone) out there? :)

wonnaywombat · 18/10/2010 05:24

Morning ladies - hope your Monday mornings have got off to a good start so far.

Quibbler - very pleased to hear your good news

Petitech - it is a stressful time when you are in limbo. The only "advice" I can offer up is that you are doing all you can to reassure yourself - the scan on thurs and docs again today. Hang in there and know that you have a whole load of mners thinking of you. x

cep · 18/10/2010 07:33

Morning All, hope everyone is doing well today.

Speaking of bf i wasn't really able to do it last time as my nips were inverted, they'd start out and then disappear tried the rubber teats over them but they kept slipping and giving the little might wind, eventually pumped them and then they dried up. didn't help he gave me a little blister first time he latched on. Read somewhere that you can wear something during pregnancy which might help. I was absolutely devastated when i couldn't do it and really hoping i'll be able to this time. Does anyone know about these things you can wear???

Well it's my appointment this morning, a bit nervous actually, which is ridiculous. Blush

wonnaywombat · 18/10/2010 08:14

Good luck with the appointment cep and do let us know how it goes.

yellowtomato · 18/10/2010 08:28

Welcome longhairedchiefofstaff wow that's a long name......and congratulations.

Good luck with the drs today cep. I went last week and it was a bit underwhelming really. They were running half an hour late and my appt lasted about 2 mins. Basically just registered the date of my LMP on the computer, asked if I was taking folic acid and that was it!

petitech heartbeat sounds very positive, I have no personal experience but have heard of loads of people who bleed and have successful outcomes. Fingers crossed for you.

I am still a bit symptomless how is everyone else today?

sasamaxx · 18/10/2010 08:30

Congratulations on your bfps longhairedchiefofstaff and beesok

karastarbuckthrace - that is hilarious - speed bumps lol

cep · 18/10/2010 08:36

karastarbuckthrace - thanks for that, that made me giggle. Grin

Humania · 18/10/2010 08:37

Hi everyone - think I'll finally bite the bullet and ring to book in with the midwives this morning... 5+5 today.

Hi beesok - I'm in West London so not a million miles from you. Also got married in Marylebone so have got a bit of a soft spot for that area :)

Are you pregnant with your first?

Beesok · 18/10/2010 08:40

Hi Humania! Yes, it is :) I am very excited and worried at the same time :) WIsh those first few weeks would go by so I could just relax :)
How about you?

We live in Marylebone and got married her too (well the civil registry at least!) I thought this area was really "buggy friendly" but I don't seem to find a lot of places to meet for pregnant women

Where do you live?

Beesok · 18/10/2010 08:41

Sasamaxx - thanks! I found out when I was only 2 weeks in ;))))))))))) This is ging to be a looooooong pregnancy :)

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 18/10/2010 08:47

Cep - I would definitely get some advice from a breastfeeding counsellor, it is possible to bf with inverted nipples but you may need some help.

http://www.breastfeeding-basics.com/html/flat_inverted.shtml inverted nipples

Here's a useful article here. This article does give you some tips you can use during pregnacy that can help.

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 18/10/2010 08:48

inverted nipples

Sorry link here!

Humania · 18/10/2010 08:49

Oh yes meant to say congratulations too! I have a 2yo dd so feeling slightly less anxious this time round :)

Do send me a private message through the new mn thingy... I'd rather not disclose too much personal info on the public forum if that's OK with you :)

Hugs to all those having anxious times at the mo... sending lots of positive vibes.

Humania · 18/10/2010 08:52

I'm glad you made it over to our (not so) little group clairebear - I know you'll find a huge amount of support here.

Minione · 18/10/2010 09:53

Hi Ladies

Half term here in Leicestershire, so still in my Pyjamas - bliss. If I get up later the morning sickness isn't as bad, although I still feel a bit queasy.

Anyone else in Leicestershire?

Loujalou · 18/10/2010 12:35

Am in Herts.

Not sure I am ready to add my stats. Tomorrow I am on day 35 which I think equates to 5+0 correct me if I have my days and weeks confused.

To all those with spotting and in states of confusion, I have my fingers crossed for you too.

I have had some spotting (v v slight but enough to get my knickers in a twist) but test still has two lines. Am so nervous...

cep · 18/10/2010 13:00

Thanks Kara, that's a great link.

Ok well saw dr a new and very young lady. (does that make me officially old or are they actually getting younger?)

She asked me the date of my last af. agreed with me that it made me 5 weeks. didn't confirm an edd (i assume midwife will) She assured me that she didn't think i was ectopic. but she tested my wee and thinks i have a water infection so on the antibiotics. I've picked them up but there's something about taking tablets while i'm pregnant not really sure i want to. I now have a midwife appointment tomorrow.

Does anyone know if the weight i am tomorrow will be the basis for all decisions on where i can have the baby? I'm really hoping that they'll keep an eye on it and make a decision later. I think i'll ask her first and if she says it does refuse to get on the scales for a while. Grin

cep · 18/10/2010 13:33

ok has anyone else not told their parents yet? feel so guilty as just had to lie to my mum as to why i went to the dr.
