Fingers crossed Quibbler, hope everything is ok x

Went to our friends last night for dinner, told them that I wasn't drinking as we are ttc and I've been cutting down! Think they bought it and I didn't feel like I was lying. Had a lovely night but am shattered today.

I've been a bit constipated too, although I often am so nothing too unusual or worrying! Lactulose is quite good but I think you can only get it on prescription (its safe to take during pregnancy).

Sarice · 17/10/2010 15:20

Morning all!

Thanks for all the hellos and welcomes. And all of you talking about a yummy roast dinner makes me very homesick. Would love to be off down the pub with a group of friends to read the papers and have a lovely bit fat roast with all the trimmings followed by a lovely stodgy desert! Sighhh

knackered I living in Colombia in South America! Its, well, different! Lovely but very very different.

Quibbler hope all is ok!

happy sunday everyone!

sasamaxx · 17/10/2010 16:06

Well - another day of feeling absolutely awful.
Everything I thought of for dinner made me feel sick, until I thought of eggs and chips - mmmmm.

Dreading DH being nack at work tomorrow and having to deal with nursery runs, playgroups etc Sad - mind you, maybe the days will pass more quickly that way.

clairebear88 · 17/10/2010 16:14

hi all.
hope its ok to join you as got a BFP on thursday after ttc #1 for 40 months so very excited. i have worked out due date is 18th june and your thread looks friendly.
i am having usual niggly low pains and fingers crossed its not anything more sinister just stretching and implantation.

will be on here alot me thinks for advice and support.

Take care as off to mums for dins

x

theQuibbler · 17/10/2010 16:24

Thanks for all your good wishes. Smile

I know the NHS has its faults, but overall I am just so grateful that it is there. I looked up an early pregnancy unit near me and they told me I could come in..
...and I saw my little bean! Heart beating away and measuring a little bit bigger than my dates would suggest.

Such a relief - the wait beforehand was just horrid.

Anyway, they say there's no particular reason why I'm bleeding, and it's very common. As long as it doesn't get heavy or painful, they said just to try and ignore it. Easier said than done though eh?

Have a lovely evening all,
QBx

sasamaxx · 17/10/2010 16:31

Awww that's great news quibbler

Congrats and welcome clairebear

mrsbigw · 17/10/2010 16:37

Quibbler that is great news :)

welcome clairebear!

sorry sarice but i have to say I have just eaten waaaay too much of the best pub Sunday-D around, it was gorgeous!

Can hardly believe how much better I feel after the reflexology yesterday; my headache eased almost instantly but I still felt sick all day & generally rough albeit very relaxed too. I had an amazing sleep last night & woke up realising that even when I moved I dont feel really sick. That is a huge breakthrough for me as on some days I have hardly managed to eat a thing & have been (TMI alert) heaving throughout the day so I am amazed that I have been awake all day & managed to put make up on etc & go out to eat & ate huge portion too :o.

If anyone in the Cheshire/ manchester area needs a good pregnancy trained reflexologist let me know as however long this almost well feeling lasts it was well worth it.

hope everyone else is enjoying their Sunday.

Minione · 17/10/2010 16:41

Brilliant news QUibbler! I bet you feel elated!X

Welcome Clairebear, I've worked out my due date is June 17th!!

featherblue · 17/10/2010 17:01

theQuibbler that's such good news! You must be so relieved.

Welcome and congrats clairebear88!

Well I am STARVING today. I am a never-ending pit of hunger. Have upped my water intake too. Stomach seems to be much happier this afternoon.

Off to eat more food...

AgnesBrown · 17/10/2010 17:21

I'm a bit scared to join Smile

I got my BFP on the 8th October and I think my last AF was the 5th September, I'm not sure how far along I am.

I did another test on Friday and still a strong BFP.

I have no symptoms and think I may just be dreaming as I cant quite believe it, I'm very nervous I will have a MC.

I have told no one in RL not even DP!

Clarkiee · 17/10/2010 17:28

Hello AgnesBrown Grin

You could do a digital Pregnancy test, that will tell you how many weeks.

It seems that lots of us haven't had many symptoms. Sending big positive thoughts your way xx

yellowtomato · 17/10/2010 17:32

Phew quibbler, I am so pleased, I can only imagine how exciting it must have been to see the heartbeat, what a relief.

Welcome Clairebear and Agnes - and congratulations. I was trying for 25 months so can imagine your excitement after 40!

I am drinking more water and munching dried prunes today. Hopefully that will improve matters. Grin

cep · 17/10/2010 18:04

Hi everyone,

Been lurking for a while and finding everyones post really reassuring.

Will be 6 weeks tomorrow which is exactly when things went wrong last time. Still no symtoms really apart from boobs. Have felt a little queasy at times but wondering if it's just wishful thinking!

Have finally plucked up courage to make a docs appointment for Wednesday.

Would also like to join the top of the bus! Am 35 and on one my first!

Hope everyone is well x

Have read other posts of ectopic pregnancies and in my true form am now a little concerned but will mention to dr tomorrow.

Fab news Quibbler.

Are any other Mamas her still BFing?

GoodVibrations · 17/10/2010 20:23

Great news quibbler

namechanged yes still bfing but I am so fed up of it at the mo. I feel bad as DD loves it and I only feed her at bedtime for 10 minutes so it's no problem really. But I am so so tired and feel sick all the time and I do wonder if bf is making me feel even more drained. I really want her to stop but she is showing no signs whatsoever. Not sure how much longer I can keep it up but will feel so guilty for stopping before she is ready Confused

petitech · 17/10/2010 20:27

Hi All, Hope everyone has had a good weekend, welcome to all the new comers!
I have had a pretty stressful one.

POSITIVES: scan on Thursday showed heartbeat, I am getting progressively worse morning sickness, I don't feel any pain whatsoever
NEGATIVES: I am continuing to spot watery brown discharge, every time I go to the bathroom

I am trying to reassure myself that if it were a miscarriage would be bright red and pain plus I read once you've seen a heartbeat the risk goes down dramatically... then the pessimist in me keeps thinking this is like a slow miscarraige or the beginnings of one... Lots of threads I've read say that brown discharge is normal, part of your uterus growing and pushing things out of the way.

I am just fed up of feeling in limbo, do I need to prepare myself for the worst and starting all over or can I start thinking about the what ifs of if everything does pan out ok. I am going to get another docs appt tomorrow and see how I go.

Any advice based on previous experiences?! x

cameli · 17/10/2010 20:27

Really, really nervous about adding myself as i feel it could be tempting fate BUT gonna try & think positive for a change.

nesomja · 17/10/2010 20:36

Hi, I'm due about the 2nd, haven't been to doctor yet. This is no 2 and I'm sort of having second thoughts but it's too late now...

name changed and good vibrations, I am still bfing ds aged 27 months, far too much in my opinion but not sure how to stop as it leads to awful tantrums and whingyness whenever I say no. He bfs evenings, mornings and at least once during the day when I am around, plus wakes up at least once during the night (we co-sleep). I'm thinking this is not going to be sustainable :(. Basically it seems like he asks for it whenever he feels like a little comfort, and won't let me read him books without bfing. Really not sure how to deal with this one.

GoodVibrations · 17/10/2010 20:49

petitech Keep us posted, I have everything crossed for you x

nesomja Not sure how you are coping, and here was me complaining about one feed a day. DD is 20 months. She seemed bored and ready to give up a few months ago, but now seems to think it is the best thing ever and gets really excited for bedtime, which makes me feel worse for wanting to stop. My friend said the old favourite "when they get older its all about the mothers needs". Honestly I could have lynched her. This has been my lowest point in bf since the start, and it is so not about my needs Angry

namechangedfor3months · 17/10/2010 21:15

Thanks GoodVibrations and nesomja. Wow am in ore nesomja!
Well I am totally shattered with it - my nips really hurt when DC is faffing pulling on and off. I read somewhere that the milk changes but that doesn't seem to be putting DC off! We had thought food intake was increasing as only very recent but seems to be slacking off again - plus can't bear the whinging!! I also read you need to have something like 500-700 calories more when PG Shock. We co-sleep too so I don't know how quickly to start moving DC into bed etc via no cry sleep solution but as DC goes to sleep on boob this is hard also!
