Worrisome Hope the rash is nothing to worry about.

White Hope you're ok.

Halo It was £7.95 for a cream tea and they give you two scones and a huge pot of tea (proper leaf tea). It has proper cream and lovely jam. We also had some cinnomen toast as well which was £2.50. Although saying that, you could spend a teeny bit less than that in Strabucks on cake and coffee. It was a treat for me, but something I would do again. I think it depends on the person, I thought it was worth it.

Bunny I bet that must have felt really really odd.

Aly I did that as well, it helped when I made a big list and a spreadsheet and spread the purchases out over the months. It just helped me to be a bit more focused and kept reminding me that I wasn't actually going to give birth and have nothing for the baby.

I went back to work after having two weeks off today and I'm so knackered. I ended up doing a long drive for one of the depts in my office, I was in the car for over four hours and had my two hour commute on top of that. I should really have said no, but they pulled a puppy dog face on me and I just sort of went 'yeah ok'. Next time I'll know. Also for those who are due or nearly there, I was talking to my college whose done a course in childbirth (long story, don't ask) and he said that hot baths were one method that people used to kick start things going. I don't know how true that is, but any excuse to have a soak really.

Hope you're all well!!

evening all

worrisome hooray for mat leave! Hope itch sorts itself out.

Hermya I went to bettys in harrogate when on a visit - we had to q for ages but I loooved it! Didn't try the cinammon toast but I love that so will have to go back :)

aly and halo thanks v much for sharing your early pg tips. I am a worrier and my SILs both had early m/c's w their first pgs (both had healthy second pgs) so for some reason I am also counting it in mini milestones. I'm 5wks today so still super super early. Am on hols later this week so just looking to get to Thurs at the moment. Very jealous of your duvet day halo! And aly, no sweets and no sex??!! You are one strong woman!

My symptoms turned out to be mainly a horrible cold which have now recovered from so am feeling much better and no more sickness, not feeling completely exhausted by 3pm, no more sneezing and constantly running nose (obviously the stop in symptoms is also contributing to my terror). My boobs are ever expanding and painful at least, but I am not quite sure if they're painful because I keep prodding them to check they are still big and sore Blush.

november hope everything went really, really well :)

Hope you all have good weeks

MrsWajs · 13/09/2010 21:39

Thanks halo I did read something similar about having the hormone peak at 8/9 weeks so hopefully that's all I'm noticing now is the symptoms dropping a bit! Difficult not to worry though!

Been feeling a bit odd today, still kind of nauseated but in a different way to what it's been previously, wondering if it's because I have been a bit constipated recently(sorry TMI)

lucky I watched the special deliveries documentary on i-player last night and loved it. I think I might be crazy but I am looking forward to the labour part!! Well, I say that now....!

Hermya I have a week off work coming up too and am soo looking forward to it but equally dreading going back afterwards. I'm already struggling with shift work as I'm so tired at the moment but hoping it will get a bit better into 2nd trimester.

worrisome yay for maty leave, boo to tile dust!! Hope it's all done by Thursday so you can start nesting!

What is this Betty's everyone is talking about?? [country girl emoticon]

HRHCavey · 14/09/2010 08:33

OneOf8 · 14/09/2010 08:49

Did catch up over the weekend, but didn't post a was a busy one - back at the second job (after 7 weeks off for summer) and was a bit of a shock to the system to say the least!!

Still, only a few weeks till half term! Can't beleive I am still looking forwards to half terms like I did when I was actually at school!

Worri hope your enjoying your mat leave! We start building work later this month/early next - and I'm dreading the mess!

Glad everyone is well!

OneOf8 · 14/09/2010 10:06

Fudge, if you have popped in or are around, I have posted on your thread. Like I said, if you need anything please do let us know. I will give you my contact details if there is anything I can help with, please ask xxxx

WorrisomeHeart · 14/09/2010 11:21

fudgecat · 14/09/2010 15:11

Hi all

I know some of you have seen my other thread and know that last Fridays scan didn't go well. There was still a heartbeat but the consultant did not think that there was long left. Im back to the hospital on Friday to see what the situation is. That is if nothing happens before then.

Im sorry that i didn't post sooner but i'm finding it hard to get my head around whats happening and also i didn't want to scare off all the new grads who have just joined.

I will let you know what happens.

X

Hermya321 · 14/09/2010 15:14

kurlyvoice · 14/09/2010 17:28

Fudge, I am so sorry to hear about little Splodge and I can't believe your utter selflessness in not posting for fear of scaring off us newbies. Please don't feel like that on our behalf - we want to know how YOU are doing. I just want you to know that we are all here for you and that you will be in my thoughts and prayers over the next few days and weeks and beyond.

addie81 · 14/09/2010 17:45

fudge so sorry to hear your news. I can't even begin to imagine how you and your DP must be feeling.

Please don't apologise for not updating us more regularly, I'm sure many people in your situation would have hidden this thread a long time ago.

I'll be thinking of you on Friday. xx

crazybutterflylady · 15/09/2010 09:19

Morning all!

fudge just wanted to say I'm really sorry to hear your sad news. I am sure there is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better so I won't try but just know that all us frolickers are thinking about you and sending you lots of love.

So sorry to hear your news fudge, my thoughts are with you.

Congratulations to November on baby Matilda!! LOVE the name!

WhiteRoses · 15/09/2010 11:35

Hi everyone,

Long time no speak... Blush Sorry about that. Our computer broke and as I've been on holiday/maternity leave, I've had no internet access at all. Got a new computer on Monday though, and have been reading through the threads since then, trying to catch up. I think I'm finally done!

Firstly, Spireal - HUGE congratulations on the birth of Mindy. You sound as though you did amazingly well. I just hope I'm half as good when my time comes!

Desperate and Sazzie - huge congratulations to you too.

And to Ozzie - you sound like you're doing exceptionally well with the breastfeeding. Lucky little Thomas to have such a dedicated mum!

November - congratulations as well, though you do realise you've put me top of the list now?! Shock Confused A little girl though - how lovely! :)

More congratulations to the new graduates as well. SaorAlba, MrsWajs and Bellaby (I feel like I'm forgetting somebody - hopefully not... Blush)

Fudge - I really want to pass on my commiserations. As has already been said, you've proved yourself to be an absolutely amazing mum over the past few months. Splodge was/is lucky to have you. I'll be thinking of you on Friday. You're never far from my thoughts anyway. xxx

As for everyone else, I feel like I don't want to make this post too long so hopefully I'll be on more regularly now and can catch up with you on a more one at a time basis. It seems wrong to hi-jack a thread that I haven't been near for weeks!

Briefly, not a lot of news from me. Still pregnant. Baby's still doing fine, though is now right down in my pelvis (has been for a while). I still have a lot of pelvic pain and still (two and a half months/five courses of antibiotics later!) have my kidney infection. My due date is today but I don't feel anything happening. Have had period-type pains since Friday and have had some show but it could still be a whlie. I saw the consultant yesterday and he said the signs were good that I wouldn't still be here next Tuesday, but if I am, he wants to see me then and either do a sweep or talk about booking me in to give me something to help soften up my cervix. Would be nice if I was able to just get going on my own though. I feel totally ready for the baby (if not the birth!) at last. We've been having a lot of work done on the house and it's just about finished at last, so it's really just a case of waiting for Baby to make his appearance now! In one sense, I want the birth over and done with asap, but in another, I'm starting to think maybe pregnancy isn't SO bad after all! Lol!
