Settle down girls settle down as I hand you all a yummy pornstar cocktail complete with a sparkler and tacky umbrella. I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Oh and no AF around here - only FERTD.... Capishe??

Hear hear crazy.
loving the new Fred lanky.
just a quick post in the new pad then I must get back to work!!
;0)

CaveMum · 27/08/2010 16:14

Ooooo shiny! I just popped back to see how the old Fred was going and it is no more. This new one will do nicely however.

Lanky you asked on the other thread had I got ERTD. Sadly not, but Dr said to get shagging and keep at it regularly as until I get ERTD I've no idea when/if I am ovulating.

I have to ask, and I'm trying not to read too much into this: I've been getting a slight stabbing pain just above my bikini line (if you see what I mean) and I was wondering about ovulation pains?! Has anyone else experienced this? I've never felt/noticed this before and it started yesterday afternoon and was still going this morning, though I haven't felt anything this afternoon. No other signs (CM, temps, etc) point to possible OV but I thought I'd ask.

Right must go, got work to finish before we head off for the night. I may get back on tomorrow but most likely you will not hear from me until Sunday.

Hermya321 · 27/08/2010 16:16

COngratulations to Steg this is fabby fab news!!! If you wish to come say hello the grads thread is here.

Flick I'm sorry about your BFP, I'm so rooting for you though. If AF still hasn't appeared in a few days, I'd say test again.

Hermya321 · 27/08/2010 16:17

Sorry Blush I meant ERTD of course

felicityFlick · 27/08/2010 16:17

Loving your work lanky :) Am v. happy with the keeeeeep Shaaaagging!, fifties dresses references (good memory!) and of course our beloved skin care chat.

Am just off to bed but couldn't not respond to a few things from the old thread:

Huge, massive, x a million congratulations to steg!! I am so totally thrilled for you- you absolutely deserve this after all you've been through. Enjoy your weekend camping, you'll be on cloud nine

Oh zippy my darling. As the others have said, you will be SO missed here. You've been here right since I joined and have always been so lovely. I really hope that you and your gorgeous dp get some good news soon as you bloody deserve a break. Please don't leave completely, I want to be there on the journey of your wonderful wedding. Take care chick, this place won't be the same without our zips :( xxx

Thank you, you lovely lot, for all your commiserations on my BFN. It's amazing how much words on a screen can really cheer you up, and you guys really have made me feel better today. I'm feeling a bit emotional just thinking about it and I only had two glasses of wine!

I'll be back in the morning and will hopefully be a bit more cheerful.

Lots and lots and lots of love xxx

felicityFlick · 27/08/2010 16:20

Sorry, x-post withe everyone there!

Thanks hermya- loved the BBC Piano man :)

Have a nice weekend cave Miss. Flick has approved your leave of absence Wink I can't comment on the OV pains as I don't get any but it sounds promising :)

MrsWajs · 27/08/2010 16:31

Yum - grapes and truffles!! Pretty sure I can still eat them :)
What a lovely new abode Lanky and the penthouse no less - just what we all deserve!!

Think I'll quite like loitering about in here!!

Can't remember who said on the last thread about there being no law against pregnant people (e.g moi) hanging about the conception threads? But I kind of felt the reason I didn't like to was because I know how difficult it can be when you are trying and trying to fall pregnant to no avail and I don't know if some would feel uncomfortable with a pregnant person swanning in and out!?!?! Does that make any sense whatsoever??

haloflo · 27/08/2010 16:33

flick So sorry about BFN, I hope you have fun things planned for the weekend. Do you get a bank holiday like those of us in England (sorry Scottish people!) or is that a silly question. Either way get that DH of yours to take care of you. I might be a bit behind but you said the CBFM had you ovulate on CD20 - could it be that was just the LH surge and ov day was CD22? This means that a BFP is still possible. Sending you postive vibes that you still could get there.

steg I don't think we've met but I wanted to say congrats! Come join us in the grads thread as soon as you are ready. There are a few of us still in the first trimester (like me!) and all of us are first timers so silly questions welcome!

cherry Ages and ages ago you talked about a book called The Help I just wanted to thank you for recommending it. It was really good I thought. Hope you are well and cycle 7 is your lucky one.

cave In the cycle I conceived I noticed stabby pains around ov time - I don't think I noticed them before. They returned a couple of weeks before my BFP (I tested at a week late remember) No CM at ov time and I wasn't temping but got a positive OPK 2 days before they stopped the first time. I reckon you know what you need to do Wink

crazybutterflylady · 27/08/2010 16:34

Twas me MrsW. I do know what you mean... but for me it's nice to have a lady with a bun in the oven around because a) it shows that people DO get pregnant despite how it feels sometimes and b) you can share your experiences with us.

Obviously that's only my opinion.. I do know what you mean and it's very considerate of you to feel like that xx

gardenpixie · 27/08/2010 16:36

Lanky what a lovely thread you have made for us - I have popped on my best 50s frock and heels for a quick hello from my phone before I disappear into deepest darkest norfolk!

Cavey that does sound like the ovaries doing something - I get funny pains like that for the few days just before I ov and then sometimes a humdinger on the actual day. Sounds promising though ...

Crazy can you save me a cocktail and a butler for when I get back and can join in properly?

Happy weekends

xxi Grin

haloflo · 27/08/2010 16:42

zippys Thinking of you and your DH. I can't imagine how you feel but please take my sincere best wishes for the future. Please keep in touch whenever you can.

Apologies also for swanning in. I didn't always appreciate grads coming in but would never have said it out loud so if anyone is secretly thinking "get out" then that is ok. I get you. Smile

I am, of course, kidding about the last bit of my last post, before fate and sod decide to take me on my word...

yumstepmum · 27/08/2010 18:35

May I join you ladies?

Long week at work, been feeling a bit queasy and SWI on correct day (hope) so fingers crossed!

ERTD due Thursday so have to just wait it out I guess but might be tempted by a first response on Sunday if still queasy.

Best of luck to everyone. Now, can someone pleeease pass me a cocktail. Got the PILs to contend with when I get home.

yumstepmum · 27/08/2010 18:41

Oh, and stats? TTC#1 UCL 28 CD 23.

alien06 · 27/08/2010 19:05

Hey everyone, loving the new thread!! HUGE congrats to Steg!!!!! :0) So pleased for you, what wonderful news xx

I have been having some peculiar feelings, like ERTD pains but shouldn't as ERTD not due yet..... any ideas what these could be?? ooo just read back through posts..signs of ovulation ?

anyone got anything exciting planned for the bank holiday weekend?xx

Ariesgirl · 27/08/2010 20:18

Just a quick visit to wish zippys all the best and I'm so sorry you're going through this. I echo what the others have said about taking some control with the whole proposal thing. You were very friendly and welcoming when I first arrived and I'm sorry I've not been around much recently to offer better support. Good luck with the IVF - you certainly deserve it. x

JosieSmith1 · 27/08/2010 21:01

Evening ladies, glad I managed to find you in our new fred! Grin

Huge congrats steg!

And sorry about the BFN flick. Sad

zippy I know I haven't been here long or all that actively, but wanted to say I'll miss having you around, and how sorry I am about what you're going through. You and DP are obviously devoted to each other and I hope you'll be able to help each other through this.
