Hi PESHs !

HI scared the living shit out of me last night. I went to bed and what did I spy? He's put the Moses basket in the room next to my side of the bed.

rollerbaby · 15/09/2010 14:52

polly apparently I snore like an actual pig now. He still refuses to a) move b) wear ear plugs and c) stop moaning. Dog also snores. I pity our neighbours.

OkieCokie · 15/09/2010 14:58

Silver why don't you move it to his side of the bed and tell him that he can fuck off if he thinks you are getting up in the night with crying baby, you need your beauty sleep... that'll freak him out back!

Well moo it can't bother him that much otherwise he would have moved. As long as you are getting a good nights sleep that is the main thing.

iggypiggy · 15/09/2010 15:44

drom that is rational Grin when pregnant I cried at the way my dog took a piece of cheese from my hand... it was so trusting

rollerbaby · 15/09/2010 16:10

iggy, drom I cried when I thought about my dog getting old in the loo one day. He is 10 months FGS.

iggy you know how much I worried about hairy moo in the beginning - well, how are you getting on with baybee and canine? Do you let dog up on bed/sofa etc? Is he well behaved around little one? Hairy one still ends up on end of bed by 1am every night, but I can't be arsed to worry about it anymore.

Scorpette · 15/09/2010 16:26

Poll, I have no shame, please to bung me all your unwanted shabazzle Grin Foetal monitor sounds esp. good - was looking at 'em on Amazon t'other night [getting ahead of herself emoticon]

Gah, everything still smells like sausages! It's making me want sausages all the time but then the thought of eating them makes me feel vommy. Confused

Awww, I rang TYF after speaking to the Doc earlier to give him the facts, but he was a bit distracted. He's just rung back to find out properly, as was v interested. Soppy bugger!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 15/09/2010 16:35

medee, contrary to okie, I do think 23 weeks is a big deal and I'd try and get it changed. If the absolute worst should happen :( - then you'd (I'd imagine) need time to take it in and consider the consequences - a week might not be enough. :( On the other hand, you might already have decided that you'd keep your baby "no matter what" (I felt that way about nuchal). Just my two cents worth.

iggypiggy · 15/09/2010 17:04

moo the dog loves her. In fact - if he was allowed it would probably lick her very thoroughly all over for hours - he seems desperate to do this Grin he seems very keen on her - and when i had to do an emergency feed in the park the other day (screamy baby - no time to get home) he sat (off lead) at our feet keeping watch for us - ignoring all other dogs entering park - this is not his usual pre-baby behaviour! Normally a new canine friend is too much for him to resist...

He is allowed on the sofa, cos he was before - I don't want him to feel pushed out by her. They aren't ever unsupervised together. I also try to fuss him when am feeding her - but he tends to lie on my feet while I feed her (also v sweet).

I think yours will be fine - that breed generally love children don't they? How is he with children normally?

Casserole · 15/09/2010 17:42

My booking in appt was between 8-10 weeks Scorps. I won't tell you about my nausea, which is eternal. Keep eating and keep hydrated. Sleep lots.

My 2nd scan was 23 weeks too last time, though they called it the 20 week scan. Our local hospital seems to be a bit laissez faire about these things... Hmm I didn't even think about the implications of that, but Ski makes a good point.

Blimey, I thought I didn't get the HIM grant either, but I qualify by a week.

Medee · 15/09/2010 19:49

Thanks Ski, yes, that was my thinking, and I'm afraid we aren't "no matter what" people. I'll speak to the MW when I am there in a fortnight.

rollerbaby · 15/09/2010 22:02

iggs that's really fantastic. It must be even more lovely that he is keen on the baby and looks after her. How sweet is that. I think you're right... I'm not kicking hairy moo off sofa when I love having him lying on my feet of an evening. Equally, he won't jump up if there's something or someone in the way, so I think it will be fine. He might jump up on the bed in the night, but he'll stay at the foot and the bed is huge so should be ok. Maybe I'll get paranoid when the baby is here, but should be fine. So far, he LOVES kids - even when poked and provoked he just licks them and sits there tail wagging. I'll probably let him stay at the dog sitters for a couple of nights when the baby arrives, but not too long - I want him to be here really.

Scorpette · 15/09/2010 22:07

Well, I can join the Crying Nutters Club, because I just cried at an advert for MCCAIN'S!!! Just because it showed loving families and cute kiddiwinks. I also rubbed my tum as I sobbed. Pa.Thet.Ic. Blush

rollerbaby · 15/09/2010 22:09

ha ha ha ha!!! I once cried when a man offered me a seat. What a twat. Me, not him.

Backinthebox · 15/09/2010 22:20

Who is Ben Goldacre? (Giving away lack of worldly-wiseness here?) Clucky knows some posh people and used to commute to school in her own aeroplane, but I got her the 'personal guest of the Duke' pass to Badminton a few years back Wink Grin

I keep saying it - I have a hippo birth book available to anyone who wants it, with CD. For some reason it made me irrationally angry, but it works for everyone else so don't let my review put you off it!

Erm - I have a secks confession. OH decided last week that what he put in there, he was going to get out. I think baby may have slid out so quickly due to, ahem, recent activity. As in, less than 8 hours from shag to baybee. Obviously he thinks he's the bee's knees now! A bit of OH assisted eviction was involved with DD, too.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 16/09/2010 07:32

boxer If his bragging gets on your tits, let him know his cock was mere inches from his son's mouth - that should put an abrupt halt to bragging!

honey My two are still wonderful with the baby and it's not unknown gor me to have baby and little dog on my lap.

medee It's a hard one, there are some disabilities I could not have wanted to cope with - and stupidly we'd not talked about that first. It was only driving away from the centre that we admitted how we'd felt about the implications of a seriously ill child :(

boxer I went to boarding school with people who flew in... but then if you live on Fair Isle you're not going to cycle. Wink

Muser · 16/09/2010 08:53

I cried once because MrM took my glass of water away, having noticed it was nearly empty and deciding to refill it for me. He was a little shocked by my wail of "I was drinking that".

Box I will have the book and cd pls! Saves Moo the trouble of copying it for me. I will message you on t'other place my details. Cheers muchly.

OkieCokie · 16/09/2010 09:27

Glad the Sechs worked box. Someone once said on here that if you can't face the sechs then the oral kind apparently works just as well to get things moving . Speaking of getting things moving where is VAG!!! Maybe she is too busy having the sechs or laying a baybeeeee!

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 16/09/2010 09:51

No baybee-laying, and no secks here! Just indigestion and insomnia. Clint still squirming: I am assuming he'll be more still when he is engaged......not sure if this is true though! No sign of frantic nesting either. Tidying before cleaner arrives probably doesn't count, does it?

CluckyKate · 16/09/2010 10:17

Boxy exaggerates slightly - I lived in Germany & went to boarding school so technically I did fly but was RAF plane into Luton followed by Hogwarts Express to school.

Bawled my eyes out at Cherry had a Baby - was so lovely to see all the little babies at the end .

I has a confession about the secks too - MrCK couldn't bring himself to do it [fail emoticon]. Will remind him of sexual prowess of MrBox & get him to pull his socks up for next time....if necessary I may need to source some jizz from elsewhere Wink

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 16/09/2010 11:11

Early on in pregnancy I mentioned to TSF that when expectant parents have sex, the baby gets dimples. As TSF has the most gorgeous dimples, he was somewhat repulsed by the idea and in protest has refused all my advances :( Will have to now convince him that dimple-making time has passed and that Clint's cheeks will be unaffected.

Backinthebox · 16/09/2010 11:19

Er, Clucky, sorry to tell you this - I will share anything with you, but MrBox's jizz is mine alone!

Vag my baby was still squirming like mad all the way through labour. As a friend said to me the other day, he was just being helpful, and enjoy the moment because being a boy it will be the last time he is helpful for about 16 years. DD otoh is being very helpful. She is gradually starting to like the baybee.

Scorpette · 16/09/2010 13:06

Jools Oliver has had a baby boy. They've called him Buddy. Why deviate from choosing ridiculous names just because you've had a boy, eh? Hmm

CurlyCasper · 16/09/2010 13:09

isn't Buddy just his interim name until they make a decision? My money is on Oregano Beau. Grin

CurlyCasper · 16/09/2010 13:12

BTW I heard that on Daybreak (for shame), so it must be troo.
