Cos you seem sooo laid back and happy. I assume you have no sore bits and are getting 12 hrs kip a night which is excellent and how it should be.

OkieCokie · 13/09/2010 15:44

That is the dark ages moo and a progressive company like yours I would have thought differently.

I have foetal well being scan tomorrow. I think I will see a giant compared to last time.

I have a friend who is having twiz scheduled to lay October and already 1 is 6lbs+ and the other is 5lbs+. Ouch! They were going to induce her at 36 weeks but as everything is tickety boo they want her to go to 38-40 weeks. Think I would throw my toys out of the pram on that one.

rollerbaby · 13/09/2010 15:50

Do you think I should be pushing for earlier rather than later??????? I was sort of thinking leave him til he wants to come out. How big was mini cokie?

I know, given how "progressive" we are it's shit. I suspect it all comes down to £££ and lack of desire. Strangely the management floor is beautfully cool.

Good luck tomorrow. Btw I think they sell epi nos there - I might get one!

CUNextTuesday · 13/09/2010 16:31

gin not sure if you've seen this? Brizzle MNers are mobilising! hooters

Reckon dressinggown may be interested too

PS not forgotten about yr CD. Can't find it so going to burn it off pooter when I have a min.

OkieCokie · 13/09/2010 16:38

I would leave a single one in there until ready to exit but twiz and already 11 pounds between them with 6 weeks to go?!? hmmm...I would be doing the sechs 3 times a day.

Mini cokie was 7lb 12. I reckon this one is bigger..

rollerbaby · 13/09/2010 16:48

Troo. I take your point. I did the sechs once yesterday. First time in AGES. It was quite funny given size of bumpage. Apparently women that do the sechs in the the 3rd trimester are more likely to be on time. Did I just make that up?

OkieCokie · 13/09/2010 17:07

That is it moo you will go into labour TONIGHT having done the sechs and all! Is your bag packed?!

CurlyCasper · 13/09/2010 17:30

i did the secks once in my entire pregnancy, did perineal massage for first and only time that night, and had baybee about a week later Wink

rollerbaby · 13/09/2010 17:38

Omg, off home to trim my lavender bush and get out the hot water and towels!!!!!

SilverSky · 13/09/2010 18:23

moomoo fanks for offer. Will speak to HI and we may well be in touch. Very kind of ya to offer his services!

Yup - can report that marital bliss has been restored in the Silver household. Least til the next time I lose the plot, which is likely to be in the next 72 hrs prob.

The towels are called CuddleDry and are reduced on KiddieCare tho full price in the NCT shop.

Secks wise - has been performed three times during whole preggo thang. Does that make me a go-er? Seems to be one sesh per trimester! So that's it know til post baby! Surely.

Anyone watch Dawn Gets A Baby with Dawn Porter? One mum to be was only concerned abot when she could start having the bedroom aerobics again!!

Call me square but I have taken the GroEgg outta da box and put in our bedroom. Just for research and as a bit of homework. Our bedroom is orange eg warm. Bugger. That's with no heating. Have opened window to see if that brings the temp down. Anyone else got one or use one and how do you find it ? Is it easy changing room temp or more often or not do you end up changing sproggle clothing????

I also discovered care of NCT that babies can't sweat!

SilverSky · 13/09/2010 18:26

know now. Seems I can no longer spell.

OkieCokie · 13/09/2010 20:09

Silver I have one of those egg thangs - got it free when I bought 2 gro bags online somewhere. The temperature is usually OK in the winter and around 16-20 degrees (assuming you have thermostat controlled central heating) but mine is often glowing too hot in the summer with a "sad face". I adjust the clothing and sleeping bag accordingly. I would not panic too much, babies survive in Africa and places. I do think temperature is easier to deal with in the winter as babies will cry if they are too cold and you can wrap them up and turn up the heating but there is not much you can do other than strip them fully off in the summer.

CluckyKate · 13/09/2010 20:39

Didn't use a thermometer-thingy with DD so had no idea of temperature of the room ....is another fad that plays on new mothers' insecurities IMO.

OkieCokie · 13/09/2010 21:16

Vag are you laying a baybee yet?

SkaterGrrrrl · 13/09/2010 21:45

Yes VAG what news?

We had seks the night before I went into labour (so that worked) and quite a bit during pregnancy.

Also my top tip for first timers - that Lansinoh cream does wonders for your knorks but ruins your clothes. Do not get any on your clothes or don a new nightie right after applying!

Me me me: SkaterBabe now 10 days old, fat and happy, putting on weight and (mostly sleeping).

SkiHorseWonAWean · 14/09/2010 06:35

silver It was 33 degrees INSIDE our house when I brought Bear home. We survived. Now it's around 20 in the bedroom at night and he wears a hat. Not sure what we'll do for doggy walks in jan when it's minus 20! Grin Just use your noggin and repeat after me "'tis only a "guideline"!" Designed for the terminally thick.

Now, run along and deliver this plate of cupcakes. Chop chop!

SilverSky · 14/09/2010 08:42

ski cannot promise I won't scoff a few cupcakes enroute!

Appreciate the Egg thermo advice.

I have so much to do still I have to write list of stuff eg horse care once the big day arrives and all that shiz.

I soooooooooo tired. Anyone watch The Inbetweeners or Bouquet of Barbed Wire last night ?

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 14/09/2010 09:01

I'm still here! Would like to remind that according to Ski's schedule I won't be laying until Thursday week. Secks in diary for next Weds.

I can't seem to keep my mind on anything and my bump has gone numb. I did lift a cake last week but it wasn't a big one.

Cosmosis · 14/09/2010 10:03

come on VAG, lay baybee lay!!!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 14/09/2010 10:39

haha check out cossie now she's on "the other side"! Marvel at her impatience - the cheek of it given how long she kept us all waiting! Wink

SkaterGrrrrl · 14/09/2010 18:14
rollerbaby · 14/09/2010 18:25

VAG can you not do the secks tonight? Early baybee not too much to ask is it FFS? :)

skater glad your little one is of the sleepy baybee variant. I like those, I'll have one pleeze. Fanks for Lanisol warning too. How are you finding life as a new mummy? Please to provide update and top tips.

silver watched a bit of Bouquet of Barked Wire (rest to watch tonight). TBH I thought it was a bit pants. Trevor Eve daughter fucking irritating passive cah, who was entirely unbelievable in the face of her psycho husbo. Original series apparently she is much more manipulative and they make more of the whole incest thing with Trevor. As I have not too much to do other than bounce on my ball and hippobirthing homework I may as well finish watching... BTW when is that homebirth thing on sky? Couldn't find it...

Had my first "proper" BH last night. I've had a fair few tightenings at night which I notice when I get up for loo, but last night was more crampy at the bottom of my bump. Is that right? Is that BH?

silver our baybee's bedroom has the boiler and tank in the cupboard. It's like fucking Barbados in there. Don't be worrying. Windows are your friend in this situation.

OkieCokie · 14/09/2010 22:03

Moo sounds like BH although I don't know as I haven't ever noticed them myself. I did however feel the first hiccups today!

Had a very average scan today. I like being average in scan terms! Baybee is approx 4lbs 6oz in old money and forecast to be 7lb 15oz assuming all goes as it has been. He/she was not co-operating very much so no pictures but I am happy because he/she is so "average". According to the ladies at the nursery I am having a girl Hmm

Medee · 14/09/2010 22:30

so quiet...

Did anyone see Cherry Is having a Baby - just watched it and rather enjoyed it. Though a touch scary too.

Scorpette · 14/09/2010 23:26

I is here! I watched Cherry is having a baby & enjoyed it too, although was a bit alarming that all the chat about older wimminz having baybees seemed focused on the risk of chromosomal probs. Guess they have to do soundbites about each life stage (and don't expect women of 37 like me to be watching and bricking it).

I rang my brother today to tell him that I am pg (he lives in Amsterdam). His first comment, after 'well done!', was 'oooh, I bet you have to have a caesarian!' Shock When I spluttered in response, he 'helpfully' continued: 'Well, you're always so unlucky with medical shit. Something will probably go wrong'. Me: 'eh, that's not exactly a helpful thing to say. My life and health aren't fun opportunities for a future sizzling anecdote, you know'. Angry Why say such a thing to the Queen of Anxiety?! I guess I'll have to get used from thoughtless, unhelpful comments from all sides, from now on...

VAG, any help you need with Teh Secksing, I'm here for you

PS Why does everything smell vaguely of cheap 70s perfume and sausages? Sense of smell symptom distinctly odd.

PPS Proper Question: when did Le Vom start properly for those of you who have/have had it? Feel bored with vaguely nauseous. Either feel okay or spew, body!
