SilverSky · 11/09/2010 21:40

Hun I am having water ishoos to. Three times now, randomly, I have pulled down my cacks to have a weenand discovered that my body is releasing wee before I am sat on the loo and I have virtuay peed my pants a bit.

MrsFC · 11/09/2010 23:03

Me too! I have had my first ever summer of hayfever with this pregnancy and every time I sneeze, well.... And I'm only at 21 weeks!! At least it's a good reminder for the Kegel exercises...

rollerbaby · 12/09/2010 08:30

I have to say that the kegels are definitely helping me not wee a bit when I cough or sneeze, but still... It's all well, very damp down there anyway. God knows.

silver has your MW said owt about position? Apparently baby goes into pelvis this week - what does that feel like? Surely he needs to be in right position before he does that? Fuck me, anything else I should be worrying about? Peace in the middle east, foxes in our street?

Nice morning huh. Everyone here is hungover and sleeping off last night. I am up making breakfast and pottering about... Nice and sunny today, have a good day gals.

Scorpette · 12/09/2010 09:25

Mornin', all. I hear you've got a few vacancies at the mo - room for a little 'un?

Grin Grin Grin Grin

MrsFC · 12/09/2010 09:36

We all start off little here, that soon changes!!

Wonderful news! How far along are you? When did you test? This morning? How many times have you cried already??

It's lovely & sunny here too - just the day for good news.

Medee · 12/09/2010 09:48

way-hey Scorps, delighted to have you on board!

Scorpette · 12/09/2010 09:57

I found out on Friday! Wanted to tell my folks first (they were virtually hysterical with joy) and there's been a lot of bad news over in the Palace (sadly inc. a mc), so I didn't want to be tactless or upset anyone. Still worrying it's too early to tell re: the feelings of others.

Me and TYF are ridiculously happy - in a nervous way! Last night, we watched 'Whip It' and I turned to him and wailed, 'will I be able to rollerskate when I've had a baby?'! Even though I've not done it for over 10 years!

Started suspecting on Wednesday. Already have achy boobs, weird sense of smell, stuffy nose, brreahtlessness, needing loo all time and feeling nauseous! Am like walking stereotype. Hmm

I was inspired to do a FUCK YOU ironi-diff a la Drom, as I was turned down for AC referral just over 2 weeks ago. One depressed, 'how dare they?' shag the day after and here I am! I've been v depressed cos of it and not eating enough, so of course, am beating myself up now! And I had to take an asthma inhaler twice on DPO7, which I've not had to do for 6 yrs, so am being neurotic fool. Also worrying about the mild cramps I'm getting.

Am looking forward to the bitchslaps I'll be getting for my anxiety from you seasoned pros Grin Grin Grin

PS Am well annoyed that everyone said it'll take a year for someone of my age and it DID (took 2 months off earlier this year from TTC cos of lap n dye, etc.). I usually hate being predictable, but I don't mind so much in this instance!

MrsFC · 12/09/2010 10:04

I had lots & lots of mild cramps & sort of shifting pains at 5 weeks, I even posted a thread about it. It's all normal, just your womb strething in readiness for the next 36 weeks!!

Scorpette · 12/09/2010 10:18

I know, I know - but still keep checking my gusset every time I feel a cramp! Think neighbours saw me doing it yesterday

MrsFC · 12/09/2010 10:44

I think drom will agree with me here - I'm 21 weeks and STILL gusset check!

Muser · 12/09/2010 11:07

Hmm, not sure about this newbie. Maybe we shouldn't let her in. Looks a rum sort to me.

Naaaah. Isn't anyone I wanted to join us more than our Scorpa. Is fabby! Cramps v normal. Have you had any feelings that your belly button is being pulled from the inside? Those are weird. And I am still prone to gusset checking. P

I iz on holiday and it is blissful. Lovely hotel with free wifi. Just as well as would have exploded if I'd arrived home and missed a whole week of diffedScorps. Weather glorious. Puking has ceased. Pills Amazing. Lounging inside at the moment to escape midday sun. Will go to beach for swim later. Beaches here are tiny, but that means it's not all highrise hotels and egg, sausage chips like the fancy Greek islands.

OP posts:
Medee · 12/09/2010 11:08

sounds blissful, Muse. A week yesterday and I will be on my holibobs.

PerfectDromedary · 12/09/2010 11:55

Every time I go to the loo, MrsFC, every time. Scrof, you know how delighted I am for you. Welcome to the Deli!

Muse Your holibobs sound AMAZE. Sunshine and no puking is the way forward.

Scorpette · 12/09/2010 12:05

Muse, am so glad the drucks have worked. Now you can stuff your face with delectable holibob goodies and have a FAB time Grin

As I told you on the birdy place, I actually considered telling you privately in a quick email cos I knew I'd go menkul if I went away for a week and missed a pal's good news, so am glad you've got wifi (I wanted to tell my folks before anyone else, tis only fair. Obvy, TYF knew first, haha!). Is it wrong to imagine you getting random strangers and guests to do a woohoo conga in my honour? Grin

No belly button pulling, but the odd stabbiness which is decidedly un-droidal. Is alarming yet groovy that you start feeling small things so early!

My due date, according to Fertility Friend, is May 22nd. Although, as I've always maintained, all babies on my Mum's side of the family are born a few weeks early, so am not betting on it. TYF is reet tickled by this, as his Dad's b-day is 21st May and his younger brother's is the 23rd! As I keep joking, what is it with the men in your family being superfertile at the end of August? Grin

I'm afraid there's going to be nowt but self-indulgent waffle (even more than usual) from me for the next 9 months few days. But we all deserve a bit of that when we get our win, do we not?

Scorpette · 12/09/2010 12:13

Thanks, Drom. I know how chuffed you is for me. Am overcome with emotion at how lovely everyone is being. To paraphrase Sally Field getting her Oscar, you like me, you really like me! Grin

Teh Madness has started already - was just on the phone to my Mum and she got in a flap because she asked what we were having for lunch and I said a grilled goat's cheese salad. Of course, this is worse for baybee than ramming knitting needles into my lower abdomen. Still, she has the ability to make me paranoid and now I'm worrying about it, arrrgh! She also didn't want me to carry my handbag yesterday (in her defence, I do carry more shit in it usually than someone trekking to the South Pole would have in their backpack).

PS newly-diffed wimminz are allowed to cluser-post. Fact.

PerfectDromedary · 12/09/2010 12:47

Of course the newly-diffed are allowed to cluster-post.

The madness only continues from rents - mine have cancelled a holiday in South-East Asia because it was in January and they would be anxious about me and wouldn't enjoy it.

Interrupting nekkid dancing for two seconds - can someone tell me about round ligament pain, pliz? Have intermittent but regular left-hand side pain, reaching down into the groinal bits. Is tres hurty. Just ligaments, yes?

CurlyCasper · 12/09/2010 13:42

squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Scropes The Menkuller Magnificent has been allowed a Deli pass! That's the best news EVA Grin

Scorpette · 12/09/2010 14:02

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Am so happy to be joining your ranks!

I invite you all to patronise me greatly (as I'm in a bit of a happy flap) - please tell me all your info and tips as to what I should be doing or not doing now. Do I just ring the Doc and tell em I won my BFP or do I need to get them to test me to confirm it? Can I still go to the gym (am not being 'one of those' women - many books and online fings say you shouldn't do cardio exercise for the first trimester)? Can I wear underwired bras (I fucking need to!)? When can I start cadging freebies left, right and centre and from who? And so much more!

Please laugh at my clueless anxiety and give the full run-down of what I need to know. No better source of evil than the PESH

MrsFC · 12/09/2010 14:20

drom - I had that pain a few weeks ago, and then it just stopped. I was scared I'd done something really bad, but then realised it was just more stretching.

Here is my info scorp. I used to go to the gym 4 times a week (not because I'm a size 10, far from it, but because it was the only way to keep me in a size 16 what with my greedy appetite!), but as soon as I heard I stopped, I was just too scared after my two mc's that something bad would happen, and also I was too bloody knackered to consider anything more than getting out of bed & to wrok! I went back after 12 weeks, but all I do now is walk uphill on the treadmill for 25 mins & some very light arm weights. I sometimes go with the fat grey haired ladies to aqua aerobics too.

I went to the Dr at about 5 weeks - they neeed to book you in for the nuchal fold scan which has a small window around 12 weeks.

They say you shouldn't wear underwired bras, but quite frankly my body is looking ropey enough these days - my tits are the best thing about it and they need the underwire to help them look halfway decent!

I'm rubbish on the freebie front though - so I shall look forward to the advice from others!

CurlyCasper · 12/09/2010 14:20

Doc will take your word for it (if anything like mine), scorps. Bras, depends on how quickly you start to grow. I stuck with my UWs for a while. Gym - no bloody clue as I am a lard-arse who used pregnancy as an excuse to do nothing!. (and now has to shift three stone Shock)

I have already passed on my copy of What to Expect, but would you like the Mumsnet Guide and other literature? I expect you'll be like me and absorb everything you can get your hands on.

My maths is poor, when are you due?

MrsFC · 12/09/2010 14:22

And oh yeah, don't expect the menkul to stop - it gets worse. I burst into tears last night because I decided that the baby would love the FC more than me and they would leave the small child and I out... The FC looked at me in bewilderment and suggested that I was maybe just a little tired!

Menkulmenkulmenkul.....!

CurlyCasper · 12/09/2010 14:25

oh, and for freebies just sign up to all sorts of pregnancy "clubs". And make sure you cut out and redeem vouchers inside the Emma's Diary and Bounty books which you get from HCPs.

Make sure you double check with GP about booking-in. I tried to contact MWs directly, they said GP would have sent referral, but I still wasn't booked in until almost 15 weeks, which was after my first cons appointment and scan. Backwards fools! I'm sure you actually have a right to go straight to MWs.

ginhag · 12/09/2010 14:48

scorps gym is fine. Think the 'official' line is don't let your heart rate go over...erm, something. Basically if you stay within your normal realms of fitness is no problem.

You have to be a bit careful with weights n shiz as you have all the relaxin relaxin' your ligaments etc. And after something like 12 weeks sit ups are not such a great idea :)

If you let a gym person know you are diffed they can help you revise any weights etc if you want to be sure. I just carried on but was a bit careful...which by by definition meant I stopped if I got all spinny-headed,or anything hurt. Or I couldn't be arsed Grin

Most of this stuff is about looking after your body not the baybee tho. You are more likely to strain something than cause any trouble to the new lodger.

This time round I haven't been going to the gym, mooch has been in charge of my exercise programme :)

I have just (at about 16 weeks) cut out the 'flying a 2.5 stone toddler around on your knees while lying on the floor' part of the regime. He is not impressed. But it was starting to feel like it was possibly not the best thing for my body!

As long as you don't carry any cakes you'll be fine.

ginhag · 12/09/2010 14:51

Ps the knackeredness can be really overwhelming so Do Not push yourself to do anything more than gentle exercise if you are feeling really wiped.

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 12/09/2010 16:51

Omigod omigod omigod have just logged on and seen The News! Lovely Scorps that is absolutely the best news in the world and I am grinning from ear to ear! Oh love, I really felt you'd get here before I left and I am so so thrilled you have! Oh yay! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!
