I appear to be hungry. I am currently cooking pasta. We will go on holiday.

Medee · 10/09/2010 15:29

woohoo!

Lovely looking house, poo

CluckyKate · 10/09/2010 15:39

With you on the tall boys - MrClucky is 5'10 1/2" so is fine so long as I don't wear heels or stand too close. Hmm

Try not to worry too much about the job front MrsFC ....there is always a need for good number-crunchers, esp. in the Big Smoke & Home Counties.
Glad the scan went well - hooray for Boys. Got mine in just over a week & itching to know what flavour already (I think girl).

PollyPop - what a lovely cottage, good value too no? Fingers crossed the viewing goes well tomorrow. Get the thumbscrews out - MrP will soon see sense [nods]

CluckyKate · 10/09/2010 15:42

That's the attitude Muse - Bon Voyage!!!

rollerbaby · 10/09/2010 16:06

polly I would go for it I really would. It looks GORGEOUS and if you sort out stuff well ahead of time (storage and stuff for interim place) you'll be fine. I'm sure f&f will chip in to help you in the weeks before. It will probably be harder to plan stuff like that afterwards...

MrsFC fantastic news on boy baybee! We do like our boys on this fred I must say. Mine is measuring at 5lbs 8oz at 32+3 weeks so I reckon I've got a biggun. Still no word on GD test, but am trying not to worry and assume baby is cooking nicely.

I'm sure your hubby will find something soon - particularly if he is prepared to commute into toon? It's great that he's chipper and feeling positive about it all. My OH was in a crappola job for nearly 2 years before he was made redundant and although good £££ it nearly drove him over the edge. In many ways the redundancy was good and he got the hell out. It was just before we got wed so all out money was committed so slightly stressful but worked out in the end. Thank god. It's been a rollercoaster few years!

silver I swear to god sometimes the dogs just get to be fussy fuckers. Hairy moo has been v picky this week after being ravenous whilst we were away. God knows, he seems fine in himself so not stressing too much.

In other news my SIL and baby bro have just announced that they are diffed. Really really excited that baybee will only be 7 months behind us and leetle cousins can play and be friends... She had been trying for 6 months until I told her to get the hell to Boots for a Clearblue monitor and preseed - hey presto! :)

Cosmosis · 10/09/2010 18:34

Hello lovelies, just 5 mins to say all is super, it really is worth it, honest!

sneezing story on FESH place.

OkieCokie · 10/09/2010 20:28

Pol I was only wondering if men of that height had issues with buying long trousers! But glad to hear all is in proportion!! Smile

Moo you have a nice healthy baby in there!

Off to read about the Cos sneeze ...

MrsFC · 10/09/2010 21:23

You're tall too Pole? What size feet do you have? I'm a 43!!! It's just SO depressing - I can NEVER find shoes!

Just looked at your cottage - its just lovely. And if TG thinks its all his idea - that's hopeful - surely??

And cass, the FC is 6'4" too - I reckon there are a whole lot of big babies coming to the deli! Are you tall like Pols & I or are you a little waif stealing a tall man??

Muse is going on a summer hol-i-day, no more worries (or puking hopefully) for a week or two... Hurrah! Have a great time!

Ooh - clucky, good luck for your scan - do you have an idea what it is? I was CERTAIN this was a girl!

Thank you for all your good wishes for the FC. He's started looking at jobs, so I think you're right - it could very well be the best thing to happen to him!

rollerbaby · 10/09/2010 21:31

Well the good news is that I don't have GD!!! Got the call just as I left work. Have celebrated with homemade pizza and champagne truffles. YUMOLA.

Cossie you are genius. Love your story and your photies. He is gorgeous. Hope you are all doing ok. Keep checking in!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 11/09/2010 07:11

MrsFC - can recommend Evans for big, trendy shoes although you'll have to fight off the trannies for them...

PollyPoo · 11/09/2010 07:58

Congrats HoneyMonster on the lack of GD!

I have size 40 feet thankfully FC so shoes are not generally a problem. They do look oddly small sometimes depending what I'm wearing on them... I sometimes wonder how I manage to stay upright!

Off to view the house at 10. Will report back later. Wedge of brie and a nice glass of rioja for all.

Medee · 11/09/2010 10:14

hurrah for no GD!

FannyPriceless · 11/09/2010 10:19

polly We moved house when I was 37 weeks pg with Bonnie and in a wheelchair. It can be done. We really had to focus on the strictly important stuff needed for the baby though - lots of other stuff stayed in its boxes for months!

P.S. I love the house and would like you to find me something just like that when we move please!Wink

honey Great news.Smile

PollyPoo · 11/09/2010 11:53

Fucking cunting arseholes. We are not moving. Arrived at duly appointed time to find prev appt people still there, agent not arrived and landlord who was not expecting us. He asked us to come back in 10 mins, we said we'll leave it 15. Drove around countryside, met agent who was lost, directed her to house. Arrived back after 20 mins, I was dying for a piss, prev people STILL there, drove off again for a bit longer. Boo bad tempered and tired, I'm really dying for the loo now. Arrive back 20 mins later, they are still fucking there! Agent outside on phone, stand around for 5 mins until she comes to tell us it is no longer available - prev people snapped it up. Gutted. She told us again that if we'd got in touch straight away it would have been ours. Cue huge row with TG about whose fault it was and me being duffed, hormonal and STILL needing a piss ends up in tears. Am now in vile mood and not talking to TG. Mostly cos I can't speak without wailing. Bah.

PollyPoo · 11/09/2010 11:59

Fanny let me know where you want to live and I will happily do your househunting for you, I am verynosy love looking at houses.

Medee · 11/09/2010 12:29

aw, poo, that sucks.

SilverSky · 11/09/2010 13:14

Aw pols that is shite. It may still well fall thru

Cosmosis · 11/09/2010 13:19

oh pols that stinks :(

rollerbaby · 11/09/2010 14:48

polly that is really frustrating, I'm so sorry. However, I'm a great believer in meant to be - probably had terrible plumbing or crap heating so you're better off not there with a small baby. I'm SURE there will be a better house around the corner now or after the baby is born so try not to be too upset. Hard though.

As for HI, men are men and basically need to be treated like junior direct reports at work with timebound tasks which need constant follow ups and constructive feedback. Ha ha ha. Never assume that they have the ability fo initiative! Marriage is like a small business, and you are the boss!! :)

PollyPoo · 11/09/2010 17:04

Believe me Honey, whatever faults the house had could be nothing on where we live now. I've put up with damp and mould on windows and walls for nearly 6 yrs, plus mice infestations in winter, the smell of decaying rodents now and then. Current delight is some kind of maggotty grub things falling out of the beams onto the kitchen table!

Missing out once on that house sucked. Twice is taking the piss, but what upset me most was TG trying to blame me for! I told him about on Sunday and he grunted, so I dropped it (it is always me that wants to move more than him). Took him until Friday to express any opinion. Apparently I should have hassled him into a viewing, seeing as he is far too busy to think about househunting, what with his job, hobbies and writing of book. Grrrrr. I've been trying to get to move for 3 yrs, now he is ready but did not tell me. Fucking fucker.

Silver, what say we bury them under a patio? Or feed
them to some pigs? Grr.

SilverSky · 11/09/2010 18:41

pols I am with you sistah! I won't say owt if you don't. We can save some cash and put them both in the same grave.

MrsFC · 11/09/2010 19:15

Oh pols, thats really rubbish. Stupid dumb assed men. You ask them once and they forget. You ask them twice & it's nagging. They need to realise just how lucky they are to have us...

Will this spur him into looking with a bit more vigour now?

OkieCokie · 11/09/2010 20:00

Pol arsing fuckety fuck. What is it that men don't understand about "procrastination being the thief of time" and having NO sense of urgency other than when it comes to meeting mates at the pub?? Did you not even get in to see it?

I have a cold and every time I sneeze a bit of wee comes out.

rollerbaby · 11/09/2010 20:23

Fair enough. In that case, I'd put him on rations and put him in charge of childcare all weekend so you can go and do something nice. Failing that, stick him under patio as above.

okie that sounds horrid. Let me know if you need to borrow a puppy pad Grin.

I have massively overdone it today, shopping, sorting and the like. Cooked dinner and cleaned up after everyone and now parents have gone out to party and I am fit to drop. Something is wrong with the above paragraph.

OkieCokie · 11/09/2010 21:05

Yes, that is wrong moo. I would advise getting out as much as possible between now and the end of October even if it is just to cienema or for a local meal as the TV remote control and sky+ button will become your best friend and main source of social life for the next 10 years.
