Oh Kayz so sorry to hear your news Sad, but lovely to see you back here.
Gruff I had been wondering how your mum is doing. The chemo sounds very, very tough (for you all) but as you say, it's so important to stay positive. How are you feeling?
Hi Tinks! Mini Boden catalogue for spring just out!

essenceofSES · 26/01/2011 08:11

Morning all.....it's Wednesday!!!!
Jo Jingles this morning and then catching up with a friend this afternoon. She's had a rough time of it as her marriage of 18mo broke down before Christmas and she has a 7yo, a 2.5yo and a 9mo! She's just going back to work after ML as well so has a lot on her plate.

Diege - hello cycle buddy! How's the SWI going?! We did at least manage it a couple of times during my fertile days but I'm now on the 2ww.....

Kayz - thinking of you. How's that gorgeous puppy of yours doing?

Gruff - How are you? Is GC getting any better on the stairs up to the flat? Is everything still going ok with the move?

Hello tink, Giraffe, Nat, Rugby and anyone else around!

tinksbabyis2 · 26/01/2011 12:28

Hi ses ur poor friend

Stopped anti depressants nov going bck on them
Saw dr this morn
Hv been getting so anxious hv excess adrelane

Rugbylovingmum · 26/01/2011 13:21

Hi all,

it's good to see you are all in the shopping mood. I need to get Caitlin's summer bits and pieces as she is growing out of everything again. How much do you usually buy the girls Tink? We're a bit skint at the mo so I don't want to go overboard but she always seems to need more than I think.

I hope that you feel better once you start the anti-depressants again Tink. Do you have to have regular breaks from them or do you just take a course when you need them?

Kay - thinking of you. I hope the time flies until your lovely man is back with you.

Ses - hope Jo Jingles was good and fingers crossed for the 2ww.

Gruff - has your mum started her new course of chemo? It is so tough on everyone, I hope that she is managing to keep positive. Have you found somewhere to move to (sorry if I've missed that)?

Hello Diege, Giraffe, Nat, Star and anyone else around.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 26/01/2011 17:13

Rugby- i end up having this debate with myself every time they need to change to summer or winter wardrobe. As we're only on DH's wage and saving for everything you can imagine we're trying to be on a budget since DD2 arrived... I tend to buy them a handful of full outfits each from next or such-like, (most of the time i can pick up things in our next outlet really cheaply during the winter and put them away) and then during the spring i'll collect nice items from carboots etc, i'm sure DD2's winter wradrobe cost me less than £100 and it's all gorgous looking next outfits, i got loys of pants and l/s tee's for £1 & 50p each through the carboot season last year... I'm very fussy too and will only buy things that still look like new- but i'm loving the fact that i'm saving them from the bin and getting a bargain... I also sell their outgrown clothes on ebay to help fund their new clothes- every little helps :) especially with 3 of them to dress!! I'm gathering C will be too big to fit in DD2's outgrown 9-12 clothes by summer...?

Have been keeping up but just finding myself with not a lot to add or no time to post something when i do.

I've been getting really bad pains in my tummy though, kinda at the front sides, within my pelvis. Have been tested for an infection but its not that. It's getting so bad i can barely walk though between the pains and the SPD that's there too... at the midwife next tuesday so think i'll be asking again. Need to have some steroid jabs at 30wks too just in case i have an early labour... but on the positive side- consultant thinks i'll only go to 36-38 weeks so shouldn't be any more than 10wks left to go!! Wuhoo!!!!

Rugbylovingmum · 26/01/2011 19:31

Thanks Cant but she is bursting out of the 12-18 month stuff we have for her, well her top half is but she still wears 9-12 month trousers (and 6 month leggings) which is a real pain when I want to buy sets. She can never wear leggings and tops for example as either the leggings are too long and baggy or the tops are too tight and short. I think she must be an odd shape Grin. I mostly just buy tops and pinafores now. There is a great car boot near my parents so we'll go there when they start again in Feb. I think I'll just look for 2-3 dresses, a couple of pairs of light trousers plus shorts, T-shirts and cardi's. Then I can add to it as we go.

Sorry you are having so many pains Sad. Not long to go now though - your friends must be so excited Smile.

essenceofSES · 27/01/2011 22:22

Hey *bumps, how are you?!

Just checking in before I head off to bed.

Cant - sorry for the pains. Hope it eases off a bit or at least doesn't get any worse! Not long to go!!!

Hello tink, Rugby and anyone else around!

GruffaloSoldier · 27/01/2011 22:59

Hello everyone,

I am 27 weeks today and people asking me if I'm due any day. Yes I'm huge!

Things calming here a bit (kind of Hmm)

Off to my Dad's tomorrow as we are taking him to a gig for his xmas pressie. Its my favourite band :)

Had too much of a manic week. Looking forward to having chilled out weekend.

Bumps - XX right back atcha Wink

Diege/Rugby - Thanks for asking re my Mum. she is really suffering from the chemo :( my sis has had to take my niece and nephew out of school and go up to look after her. I feel so helpless and hate it that I cant go and see her. I wish she didn't live in Scotland :(

Hi Ses/Rugby, move is very stressful. Last week we moved some furniture and found a rotten skirting board. We removed it and wall joist is rotten and some of wood in the wall. Appears we have a slow leak behind the wall. Insurance guy came today to detect the leak and had to cut big hole in the wall. Found the tiniest leak in the sink pipe. Must have been leaking for years! We are now going to have the leak fixed (which will take under an hour) then we are going to have part of the wall fixed, replastered and painted back to its original state. Oh and bathroom floor has to be replaced! All when we are about to move! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Angry

Kayz - hope you are ok x

Hope people are having less stressful week than me!

Oh and summer clothes - I have glanced at some in catalogues but that is as far as I have got!!

tinksbabyis2 · 28/01/2011 09:57

hi ladies Grin

hi gruff good luck Grin

hi ses

essenceofSES · 30/01/2011 07:27

Hello! Far too quiet on here these days! Can we have a roll call please and round people up?! (Says she who is just as bad as everyone else!)

All ok here. 5dpo and I am not getting my hopes up or symptom spotting or comparing my temps to the chart when I got pg with DS. Well ok, I am doing all of those things but tell me to stop! Nothing v promising to report either!

DS is becoming more and more of a monkey. He feeds the dogs his food. Yesterday it was peas - he holds a pea over the side of his highchair, they come running and fight to be the first to take it out of his fingers. I was a bit worried for his fingers but the dogs seem to be gentle enough and DS thinks it all hilarious!

He also managed to rip his wallpaper border yesterday morning. He stood up in his cot and (according to DH, as I was at work) made a roaring noise at the animals on it as he tore it. I tried to order some more last night but it's been discontinued! In the end I tried eBay who had none in the UK but there was a 2foot strip for sale in the US which I got for £5.80 including postage!

Anyway, enough rambling from me! I'll be back later to see who's turned up for the roll call!!

Moosy · 30/01/2011 17:41

I'm here Ses!

Have had a very difficult couple of months - 4 colds, a chest infection, a flu-type thing and a dislocated shoulder just for me, everyone else has had similar (apart from the shoulder!) and my mum who's normally really helpful was in plaster for nearly 6 weeks with a broken wrist!

It's all calming down a bit now, Fizzy's a pretty good sleeper although she seems to be getting a cold again

Well I started typing this while I was cooking our roast this morning and it's now time to get tea, must go!

GruffaloSoldier · 30/01/2011 19:55

Hiya all; Ses, Moosy!

I am here! Back from my Dad's which was a lovely weekend! Now its back to to do lists, too much to do, too little time!

Going to see my friend in the morning who has just had a baby just over a week ago! Her 3rd :)

Sorry to hear you have had a rough few months Moosy, hopefully things are on the up now?!

Ses - fingers crossed for you on the 2ww!

Oh dear about the border! Glad you found another. GC seems to be pushing the boundaries at the moment. But hes getting a bit of a shock as I am certainly no pushover!Grin LOL

Hope more people come soon for the roll call!

essenceofSES · 30/01/2011 20:24

Hello Gruff and Moosy :)

Moosy - that really is a very tough few months! Glad you've come out the other side and hope your shoulder doesn't give you any more problems.

Gruff - Hope you had a great time at your Dad's. Does he live far from you?
I know what you mean about too much to do and too little time. I'm feeling it this week as I have a busy week coming up. I've got to work an extra day on my usual Wednesday off and then Thurs/Fri I'm away at a conference in Watford (really exotic I know!)

I'm starting to get excited about my birthday which is unlike me as they normally pass me by. However, DH has told me he's got something planned for the weekend before and he's booked my cousin to babysit!

Hope everyone else is ok :)

tinksbabyis2 · 30/01/2011 22:00

Ses- The peas story really made me laugh this morning Grin

Hi Tink, Diege, Star, Rugby and everyone else.

We are also getting boundary pushing. Must be the age thing.

Should go really but will keep an eye of the "class register"

Grin
Rugbylovingmum · 31/01/2011 14:16

Hi all,

I'm quietly lurking Blush. We've had a busy couple of weeks and I'm off to Oxford with work overnight tonight but I promise I'll post properly when I'm back.

tinksbabyis2 · 01/02/2011 19:47

hi ladies

waves @ ginger and rugby

cantmummyhaveabreak · 02/02/2011 10:54

I am about- just not often as been laid up on the sofa as much as possible!!

got a lot of ebaying to get done through next week tho so should be about a bit more then :)

Starshinetiger · 02/02/2011 14:23

Quick check in for role call. Am away with work, but seeing as was up at 4.30 this morning to get flight to Germany, am granting myself a short lunchbreak, even if it is 2pm already! Good idea for roll call Ses! Keeping fingers crossed for you this month.

Tink - yay on DD2 going in big bed - they really are all growing up.

Ses - hope DS is enjoying new room at nursery. DD starts her trial sessions in the next room today and moves up there permanently at beginning of March if it all goes well - as it's just a small nursery, baby room is 0-2 and other room is 2-5, so will feel like a big jump, but she will be in with DS for 6 months until he goes to school, which will be nice. Does feel very strange though, as when she started last year, she was the littlest in the baby room! My baby is growing up SadSmile. On which note, I must add that 4 out of last 7 she has slept through in her own bed all night and 2 of the nights she didn't managed to get her back to sleep in her bed with 20-30 mins reassurance of sitting there. Following a couple of nights strict bedtimes and telling her to go to sleep then reassuring her every few mins, she now goes to bed in her cot on her own at night!!!! Grin the other night she actually chatted herself through the day before she fell asleep GrinGrinGrinGrin This is very big news for my little non-sleeper! She will look small when she goes up to the next room at nursery though Confused

Ahhh, no idea what I've read, but good to see everyone coming back on here. Can't hope the being laid up is helping and you're not in too much discomfort?

Ses - loving the photos on fb.

Moosy - lovely to see you back on here, hope the poorlies are out of the way now.

Gruff - 27 weeks! Feels like it's zooming by to an outsider (guess you are nearly 28 weeks now?). Hope DS is adjusting to what you need in terms of you carrying him, etc.

Rugby - liking the topic of clothing, agree is very hard to judge what she'll need. I'm so lucky to have had a bagful of clothes from my cousin every 6 months or so since DS turned 2 for him, so am getting quite a shock at needing to sort clothes out for DD Lol!

Right, enough of a lunchbreak, may be back on this evening if I can get internet connection at the hotel Grin

cantmummyhaveabreak · 02/02/2011 16:29

hello star- sleeping thru is sounding V. positive!!

DD2 has always been a pretty good sleeper on the whole... but i'm debating wether to keep her in our room longer while she is still happy to sleep 7pm till around 7-7.30am, or wether to risk putting her in with the older 2 where she might get woken by them earlier... it was much easier last time i made this decision as they were both so young.... now they're in a routine of waking at 6.30-7ish and i'd hate all 3 to be awake at that time as i'd need to get up with them rather than dosing in bed till DD2 wakes...

Oh and as for being laid up, I spoke to the midwife yesterday.... the SPD is there, she can feel that the front bone is weakened a lot but not actually cracked open, so pain should still be managable if i get enough of a balance between resting and gentle excercise so i dont cease up... as for the pains that feel like stitches/stabbing pains it seems the baby might be lying on my siatic (sp?) nerve, so it's not something that can be fixed, but again resting will limit the pain- basically she said if i had no other DC's she'd put me on strict bedrest- but that's never a possibility, so i've just gotta find a happy medium. I've been referred for some physio with the potential for a brace if they think i need one- but i was reffered for the same with DD2 at about 12wks, and when i gave birth at 32 weeks i'd not even got an app- so i'm just gonna take it as it comes. :)

I'll feel like a new woman once i've got this little lump out and getting back to myself!! haha!!

tinksbabyis2 · 02/02/2011 21:21

Hi can't and star
Can't poor u having 2 rest up
