So, birth story: I had a sweep last wednesday, and mw said i was already 3cm dilated!
Thursday 6am woke up with a massive contraction - felt like it was going to be born there and then! DH took ages to wake up - I was trying to get him to phone my mom to come and look after dd1&2, but he seemed unable to use his phone!!! mom didn't answer!! phoned my sis, and they headed around to ours. In the meantime i'd had no more contractions, things seemed to have stopped! Phoned mom (who was already at the end of my road) to say don't rush! we all thought it was a false alarm. I had a bath & things kicked off again. Got to hospital at 730am, had some gas & air & was told i was 8cm! had a bit of pethadine and tahlia elizabeth was born at 8:42am weighting 9lb 1oz!!
Very painful, but very quick. Home now, finding breastfeeding very painful!! need some more gas and air!

Is there a specific page for all us August Mums on the post natal site, or are we just joining in with all the other mums and occassionally recognising a name from this thread???

I think it may be nice to keep in touch and talk through the good and hard times.

Anyway I hope everyone is well and I hope to chat with you all again soon
