Scary looby hope everything is ok now. Was it an infection or the diabetes? Or did they not find out a cause?

Elsa123 · 29/08/2010 17:39

Ooh Looby- how frightening for you. I'm pleased your baby has decided to stay put for now. Yes, I hope its the third thing too.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 29/08/2010 18:40

Shock looby how scary! I hope Things settle and as others have said, that's the third and last drama this pregnancy! Lol at childcare- my worst case scenario is heading off to hosp with ds in the car Grin your mum won't dare venture out for weeks now!!

MummyWilliams · 29/08/2010 18:41

Hello all!

I'm not sure if you'll remember me. I haven't read your thread since I left back in April, but just wanted to pop in to say that after losing our baby April 29th 2010 at 18 weeks, we are now expecting again. Got a BFP yesterday. Have a loooong way to go, but fingers and everything else crossed that we will make the distance this time.

Good luck over the next two months to you all. I shall be thinking of our little Jack who would've been due on 4th October 2010.

x

Hermya321 · 29/08/2010 18:48

Finally started to pack my hospital bag today, only have a few things left when i got a migraine and had to go to bed for a couple of hour, my migraines are getting shorter though which is good. :)

AbFabT · 29/08/2010 20:14

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 30/08/2010 06:45

mummywilliams congratulations!! Lovely news - I hope all goes well for you :)

Elsa123 · 30/08/2010 08:55

MummyWilliams- I was just thinking of you yesterday. I'm so pleased you have a BFP! Good luck x x

shieldbug · 30/08/2010 10:56

MummyWilliams so pleased to hear from you. What wonderful news. Will be thinking of you especially on the 4th October. Hope all goes well this time.

loobyboo Thank goodness the pains went away. What a scare for you. Here's hoping the baby holds on a bit longer and there's no further problems.

Had a lovely day yesterday- we went to Portrush on a special steam train and got thoroughly wind-blown walking along the sea front. I'm in uni today (why oh why did I think this was a good idea) and wishing I was outside enjoying the uncharacteristically beautiful sunny weather. Hope you have all been more sensible and taken the day off. Enjoy yourselves!

nymphadora · 30/08/2010 12:16

Anyone else constantly hot? dh is following me round closing everything as he is v cold. Its making me go dizzy & weak (worse than usual!).

piesey · 30/08/2010 19:37

That's great news mummywilliams really pleased for you nd hope everything goes well.

loobylou that must have been really scary for you - I hope baby stays put for another few weeks. Take it easy and hope that you are ok.

moonstorm · 30/08/2010 22:05

nymphadora I'm very hot at nighttime. Keep sleeping with the window open - the cloder the better - while dh hides under the duvet! (Normally he's the hot one!)

Hope everyone's had a nice Bank Holiday!

dontstopmenow · 30/08/2010 22:07

Loobyloo - hope that you can rest up and that nothing else happens now for a few weeks - that is really frightening for you.

Congrats Mummywilliams - Yay!

Have managed to get sunburned on my poor swollen feet and legs today. Grr! Now they will no doubt be even more swollen!

Nymph - I too am permanently hot at the moment. We have our own central heating system now I guess.

Well, I have passed 34 weeks now. Phew - DS was born at 34 weeks and in my head I guess I never expected to get past this point but we have and I am really pleased. Now I will have to take every day as it comes and not keep expecting the worst. You never know, I may just go into labour properly this time and have a VBAC which is what I would like. Only time will tell.

Have a good week everyone - especially those still working :)

floozietoozie · 30/08/2010 22:32

Dontstopmenow - really glad you've passed the big day. I've been wondering how you were. This is just a brief post from our holiday flat to say it's the eve of when DS was born so really looking forward to getting past one am without my waters breaking and 7am without having the baby. Really really tired today and quite emotional for other reasons too but possibly this is a factor.

Hope you all had a nice bank holiday weekend. I promise I'll stop banging on about the timing of ds's birth once I get past it.

moonstorm · 30/08/2010 23:06

Floozietoozie talk about it all you like! It's a big milestone.

dontstopmenow phew - congratulations!

I'm 33+4, ds was born at 35+4 (I know not that early, but early enough for NICU and SCBU), so I am counting down the days until I get past that date (plus I think I'm not as far on as my scan date puts me, so I want to get past my own dates as well!)

Take care x

lilmissmummy · 30/08/2010 23:40

LOVE the new thread and the new title is fantastic, well done AbFab

MummyWilliams congratulations on your BFP! That's great news!

Things are picking up - DH has new job, starts tomorrow. My blood sugars are normal for now thanks to Metformin and I have a scan booked for next week.

Glad you have got past 34 weeks now Dontstopme thats a relief isnt it? :( for your sunburn though!

Nymph I am soooooo hot too! I keep opening windows and the poor children are wearing extra layers.

Looby Fingers crossed that baby keeps cooking for a couple of weeks longer. How very frightening for you! Keep resting!

Tyson sorry to hear that you are still getting migrains! Not long to go now. Must start packing my bag!

Elsa thank goodness you got the cotbed - finally.

My Dad came down this weekend and delivered our crib. It is really really old (it was bought second hand by my Grandma for my Dad when he was born. My Dad is 60 years old now and the cot has seen 9 babies through the generations) we are so pleased with it and it has been done up with lilac ribbons. Our cotbed will be delivered at the end of September along with the pushchair and carseat. Cant wait for that delivery.

lilmissmummy · 30/08/2010 23:44

floozie and moonstorm cross posts.

Fingers crossed you hold out longer than you did before! It totally understandable that it is a concern. Feel free to talk about it all you like! Just take it easy!

Hermya321 · 30/08/2010 23:58

Dontstopmenow Thats brilliant! I bet that must feel like such a weight off of your mind to get to this point.

Moonstorm Fingers crossed you hold out longer than you did before.

I'm so tired after a long car journey, I'm about to fall asleep into my key board. Is anyone elses spare room begining to resemble a Mothercare stock room because mine is. I'm going to pack my proper hospital bag this week, I took a trip to Primarni this weekend to get some cheapy nighties for the hospital and some other bits. All in, it came to less than a tenner; can't complain can you really.

I've got another scan tomorrow to check on the position of my placenta, hopefully it will have moved up. I think it has as I can never feel LO kicking at the front.

Well I hope everyone else is well!! Smile

AbFabT · 31/08/2010 00:05

Glad people are getting to good weeks! I am 35 weeks now, wow, it has gone so so fast! Aargh!

And glad you all approve of the title - phew! :)

lilmiss, hope your DH has a good first day at work! And that your crib has arrived! Hurrah! I love that it's seen so much baby action! Bless.

Today, DH and I bought pretty much all the remaining little bitty bits we needed - muslins, baby towels, maternity briefs (mm, they look lovely!), maternity pantliner pads, nipple pads etc etc - really really close now! Think pretty much all we need is the carseat, and a few stimulating toys!

Up visiting the in-laws, SIL is due two weeks before us, so really, we could both land on the same day!

Moonstorm and lilmiss thank you. Good luck too moonstorm.

It's 1.42am and the waters are still intact Smile.

nymphadora · 31/08/2010 06:13

Congrats floozie Grin

Moan alert!!!

Been awake nearly all night. Reflux when I lie down and am trying to sleep sitting but can't get comfy. Got lots of BH yesterday if I did much more than walk across the room. Body is v much telling me to sit in a chair & not move which isn't that simple!

Dh back at work officially today so no help in the day except for the kids. Might have to get my mam to help us get shopping this week as I can't walk that far.

When can I start nagging Physio if my referral went in on Friday ?
