Loopymumsy Yep im a bit of a treckie! Well to be more accurate a full blown geek including Red Dwarf! Blush Good luck with your scan tomorrow as well.

I think but my dates (not MW which are different but I just 'know' shes wrong) I am 10+2 and besides the odd wobble I am feeling good and getting better every day x

LoobyLou33 · 12/10/2010 21:13

Hi folks a me-post sorry but got some happy news - had my 12 week scan (exactly 12 weeks today) and all is well! 5cm long and bouncing away like a little explorer Smile

I had to move the scan they gave me for Friday as I'd have been work, and luckily a slot was free after work tonight...such a relief to get it done!

I'm actually due April 26th so at the start of the list with someone else (yorkstar?)

Latest late-night craving: tinned fruit. The corner shop is 1 mins walk and sells tinned lychees. Result! Grin

Hope all goes well for loopys scan tomorrow and everyone else with them this week.

cowboylover · 12/10/2010 21:36

Good news Looby! I hope mine is as exciting next Tuesday.

I must say my cravings are very specific and are currently: The natural confectionary company - Surfs Up range. Not the snakes or anything else which is annoying my DH now after finding out our local Morrisons where sold out so he had to go somewhere else Smile

MummyWilliams · 12/10/2010 21:37

loobylou fantastic news. Brilliant. Relax now. Don't forget to update the stats. Enjoy your tinned fruit. Smile Smile Smile xxx

Yorkstar · 12/10/2010 21:48

Lovely news Looby can't wait till mine on Sat. Iv already had dating scan at 8 weeks and am 12 weeks tomorrow.

Good luck tomorrow Loopy will be thinking about you x

Hi All. Haven't been on for a while because it was getting me down reading all the sad stories - sorry, and sorry for everyone suffering!

DragonMami I have the same tummy - can't believe how rank I feel! Glad to hear you got some reassurance.

Qwerty - yes, one side (left) since 6 weeks. It eases slightly if I sleep on the right side. The midwife said it is where the uterus presses on the bladder, which is on the left.

Come home from work early (luckily different, unconnected jobs) 3 times in one week. Tearful and pathetic :(

Roll on 2nd trimester...

QwertyQueen · 12/10/2010 22:55

thanks sesamesmith it is my left hand side!
great to have an explanation.

LadyBaiter · 13/10/2010 09:38

Hello...

I'm due May 11th, do you mind if I join?

Will be our 3rd. Have two boys already, 4yo and 20mo.

Suffering terribly with tiredness and sickness, but just about coping.

Had a dating scan last week as had no idea how far gone I was and it put me at 9weeks, another scan in a couple of weeks.

MummyWilliams · 13/10/2010 10:34

Hi! Ladybaiter we have a separate stats thread within antenatal clubs, feel free to add your details there. I would link to it, but I'm no good at that.

loopy waiting with everything crossed, for some news from you.

zinnia · 13/10/2010 10:35

Hello LadyBaiter, and congratulations!

Thanks everyone for reassuring words re symptoms, am thinking calm thoughts today and feeling much better for it. Must brush up on my pg what-happens-when stats, have forgotten everything from last time it seems.

Congrats too to Looby, how fabulous to have some good news. Those scans will be rolling in thick and fast now.

Thinking of you this morning Loopy, really hope all OK.

loopy this is fantastic news. Can't wait for full update. What a relief!!! xxx

MummyWilliams · 13/10/2010 12:01

loopy you moved yourself into the right position on the stats but didn't change your date - I've done this for you, hope you won't mind. You're probably in such a state of shock you forgot. Grin

I also took tummytickler off the stats too! Sad

MummyWilliams · 13/10/2010 12:04

My stats are wrong anyway coz by LMP I should be 4 May, but going by conception date Smile I should be 8 May. But have left it the way it is until dating scan.

5 May is my dad's birthday so thats a fantastic day anyway.

Hope everyone else is ok today.

IheartRPatz · 13/10/2010 12:24

I am feeling a little less sick, but still tired. I had been getting through the day with loads of coca cola, but the canteen has switched providers and I feel like my lifeline has been taken away!!
Glad to hear that people are getting their scans etc. I have my booking in appointment next Thurs with the midwife; hopefully wont have to wait too long for my scan after that.

zinnia · 13/10/2010 12:49

Loopy hooray, hooray [jumping up and down emoticon] SO relieved for you, look forward to hearing all the details once you've descended back to earth again.

KnitterInTheNW · 13/10/2010 12:52

Could someone take me off the list please: I had an early scan yesterday afternoon, there was no heartbeat. I should have been 9 weeks today, the baby measured 8 1/2 weeks. I'm completely gutted, don't know what to do with myself and can't believe the unfairness that is having to 'choose' how to get rid of it.

MummyWilliams · 13/10/2010 13:06

knitter oh! no I'm so sorry to read your news. If you want any advice there are Miscarriage Boards, where lots of ladies have lots of useful advice. I wish I could link to it for you but unable to do that. Take good care of yourself. Sending you lots of hugs. xxx

Hello ladies.

knitter I'm really sorry to hear your bad news. I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel x

Feeling very pleased to still feel sick after reading sobering news,...but also the happy hopeful news of good scan results :)
Yesterday was hard, but today much better - still yucky, but not overwhelming. It's much easier to cope when I'm with my friends and have distractions, but at home I find moving around / popping to the shops or whatever, makes it worse.
8+4 today, which feels like I'm moving forward a bit - looking forward to 10 weeks, which sounds a bit more substantial, then of course the magic 12 weeks. Three weeks tomorrow til the scan.

LoobyLou33 · 13/10/2010 19:10

loopy - bonanza!! Wonderful news, so pleased for you.

Can you explain what 10 + 6 etc means? Sorry to be such a div I don't get it!

knitter I'm very sorry for your bad news and the situation you're in, that's very sad. I hope you get plenty of support and that the hospital is kind to you.

thell · 13/10/2010 19:14

Looby, it's weeks + days, so I'm 8 wks + 4 days.
I think I learned that first of all from my first MN ante-natal thread! but health staff do use it.

Rollercoasteryears · 13/10/2010 19:19

knitter really sorry to hear your news. Take good care of yourself. As looby said, I hope the hospital is sensitive and supportive.

looby and loopy, great news re your scans, so pleased for you both.
