I thought I'd start a due May 2006 club even though its very early in the month for it.

My stats are

ME: 31
DH: 30
DD: 3 next week!
Next DB due: May 1st (4 weeks pregnant today!)

Just been to the docs to get it all confirmed and seeing the midwife tomorrow. Look forward to more of you joining me as the month progresses!

Actually, I expect to have an elective section after an emergency one with DD so db will probably be born at the end of April. But like the idea of a May thread nonetheless!

Hi All,

keepingitasecret if it gets any worse head for the hospital! You have to be careful in that early stage.

I have felt awful all weekend and am nauseous since morning. It caught up with me finally. Try to get everything in aliquid form... any suggestions as to how I should cope?

Have a good day.

GrygielMM · 12/09/2005 10:57

My due date changed as well to 5th May.

hockeymum · 12/09/2005 12:43

GriegellMM

Totally with you on the sickness thing, at the moment I'm throwing up about 6 times a day and feel sick the rest of the tijme inbetween. Try and eat small things often, fruit, nuts, slice of toast etc. Real meals very unrealistic for me at the moment. What the heck is the purpose of this sickness thing? I thought we were trying to be eating healthily and getting veg in us at the moment, not happening!! The only thing making me feel better is knowing that the sickness is caused by the baby establishing its placenta, but never worked out how many women seem to establish a placenta and have big healthy babies with not a jot of sickness. At least I have already decided that this is the final baby and I wont have to feel like this again after next year!

Hello everybody, havent been around for a while. Trying not to worry you all with my worries.
Am 6 wks+4 days. I had a scan today, all is well so far, just one ickle tiny baby with a good hearbeat. Could even see it flickering away on the screen.
I dont feel to bad, spend part of the day feeling sick, but am coping. Feel tired, and have had lots of achey period type pains too.
Feel better for having syptoms though. I know it doent guarentee the outcome but makes me feel a better knowing everything is on track.
Hope you all are doing well. Might feel a little more confident checking in now.

lovecloud · 12/09/2005 21:31

Hello everyone

Hockeymum - hope your feeling ok - 6 times a day? Wow! I was about to come on here to moan about feeling green all day but I should give myself a kick up the bum and be grateful. Poor you, it sounds like your coping though. I cant remember the last time i actualy got sick. I said to dh I would probably turn into a kid and cry between heaves... yuck! Sorry!

Louismummy - my due date is the 6th of May too

I went into labour the day my dd was due so I wonder if that will happen this time, I wonder if there is less chance going over too much second time around.

I really start feeling pregnant since a couple of days, the sickness is there all day and stronger at lunch and evening. I am shocked at how tired I am. I really feel like I am carring a bag of bricks on my back. I am trying to not moan about it and find myself stopping myself complaining.

My mouth is constantly filled with saliva and I have lots of stretchy pains and I am showing or is it gas????

But other than that I am very happy and sooooooooooooooooooooo excited Being pregnant is like waiting for xmas to come and you just know you are going to get the most amazing present.

I am already driving myself mad thinking about names.

Anyone tried those sea bands you wear on your wrist to reduce sickness?

Xena · 13/09/2005 11:28

Hi Guys how is everyone doing? I'm hoping to get an 8 wk scan next week but the days are passing v.slowly. I feel soo sick and tired.
Lovecloud my 1st baby was born on his due date No2 was 2 weeks late and No3 was 3 days early. I remember DH saying in the evening of No2's Due date that he had woken up that morning raring to go as 'todays the day' and I didn't go into labour until we were on our way to my Mums to drop DS off as I was being induced at 6am the next morning.

GrygielMM · 13/09/2005 17:30

Hi All,

hockeymum - thanks for advice. I seem to be getting a bit better, no throwing up but still nauseous. Even managed to get some fresh veg down.

Hope you will get better soon.

Need to rush, DH is to pick me up from work any moment. Will write tomorrow.

hockeymum · 15/09/2005 09:54

Hi everyone - all quiet here for a couple of days. Hope you aren't all feeling terrible at the moment, maybe we are all just exhausted and sleeping lots! Let us know how all the early scans, midwife appts etc go. Hoping you are all feeling well and excited about your beanies!

lovecloud · 15/09/2005 12:11

Hello

Where are you all?

This thread is always so quiet... I need some back up to help me moan about feeling sick!

I am really worried that I will feel like this for a long time, it was four months of sickness with dd1 but not this bad. I am in my pyjamas, I have watched Jerry and othe rubbish programmes and lied on the couch with a blanket and pillow... i just thought i should appreciate this "me" time as soon it will be gone for a long time.

i am almost 7 weeks and up until two days ago I thought I was showing as my tummy was sticking out but since yesterday I had the most awful wind ever and i now feel a stone lighter. my poor dh was struggling to breathe and actually got angry at one point. why do pregnant women get such bad wind?

So how are you all feeling?

I cant beleive that even with my second pregnancy there is no sign of my small boobs growing - how unfair!

hockeymum · 15/09/2005 14:38

Hi Lovecloud - totally with you on the sickness thing. My day starts at 3am waking up to be sick and I'm sick most of the day before throwing up for the last time just before bed! The joys of the early months. I had it all the way through with dd but it did ease a little down to about once a day in the ,iddle couple of months. dd has now started nursery school so i get 2 hours to myself in the morning but the walk in the rain there and back is killing me - where did my energy go!! Moan moan moan!

Oh yeah as for the smelly wind, is there iron in your per-natal vitamins by any chance? makes your farts smell and poo turn black! Glamorous this pregnancy lark isnt it?

youngatheart40 · 15/09/2005 15:05

Hi there I'm new to this thread.
Me - 40
DH - 40

POAS yesterday and got ++. Likely due date 24 May 2006. No real symptoms yet (maybe just a bit tired). Am hoping I don't get huge ( I mean huge) boobs like last time. DHs can't complain about wind they haven't got a leg to stand on!!

Mandymoo · 15/09/2005 18:15

Hi all

Feeling very tired and sore boobs are doing my head in but at least i have boobs for once in my life!

Seeing midwife next friday for booking in appt.

About 7/8 weeks now but no other real symptoms (which i'm a bit miffed about actually!)

Anyway, hope all you ladies are doing fine XX

Kittenpaws · 15/09/2005 18:51

Hi all

Haven't posted for a while as have been on holiday - was fab apart from watching everyone else drink copious amounts of wine.

Not feeling too bad, the nausea is beginning to kick in, felt like I had a permanent hangover with DD so hopefully will be better this time.

PreggieMum · 15/09/2005 20:11

Can I join here? (Have just tested today and have a faint positive.)
Me - 27
DH - 28
DD1 - 18 months
DD2 - nearly 7 months
Estimated due date 22 May 06

I must be mad eh!!

No pregnancy symptoms yet, but very early days.

inkyminky · 15/09/2005 21:05

Hiya, another one who got the big blue line yesterday...
me - 33
dp - 32
DS - 4.5months.(gulp)
Due 19th May I think, well at least I managed to get back into my jeans for 4 weeks
Havnt got any sore boobies at all this time (think there is no muscle left in them) But have gone completely off my food. Another Christmas as the designated driver! But another Spring baby yippee.

Spoo · 15/09/2005 21:57

I am here too. May 19th.
Me 31
DH 35 in a few weeks
DS 7.5 months

Only got back into my Prepreg jeans yesterday! Blue line today! Oh joy. Another Xmas feeling fat - another new years eve sober!

It is great that everyone is so upbeat - it makes me feel a whole lot better!

inkyminky · 16/09/2005 11:30

Hi Spoo, was thinking of going back to work, but secretly hoping for redundancy, my last Mat leave started 31st March last year so they will keep my job open til then but I will be 7 months preggie again then?? what are you doing? do you know if I could go back just for 8 wks then get all the benefits again. Bit cheeky really but have worked my socks off for them for 10 yrs and they are very unchild friendly so I need to look after number one and play the system.

How is everyone feeling today? Am back on the pints already...loads of pints of milk that is.

hockeymum · 16/09/2005 12:28

Wow - loads more BFPs this week then! Welcome inkyminky, Spoo, youngatheart40 and preggiemum and congratulations to all of you.

Mandymoo - don't worry about your lack of symptoms, my best friend is in exactly the same boat as you, she is miserable because I'm so ill and she's not, I am miserable cos I'm so ill too!! she was so worried about the lack of symptoms she has had a private 8 week scan today to check if its there! and baby is doing really well they said. They say loads of people have no symptoms at all and it is no indication of the pregnancy going less well than someone else who is really sick or tired. Please don't worry about it I've got my booking in appt next week too, thats always quite exciting isn't it?

Hope you are all well today everyone and feeling glowing!

youngatheart40 · 16/09/2005 15:20

hi! congrats to everybody particularly with little ones still in nappies - very brave but they'll be nice and close. I wouldn't mind some symptoms but not the same ones(mega pimples and ginormous boobs)as last time please.

HandbagAddiction · 16/09/2005 15:30

Dipping my toe in the water here and would like to join you all!!! Had a BFP on Wednesday and then another today....and my AF isn't even due until Sunday. Been feeling sick since last Sunday - so masses of symptons already (from 3 weeks) which is starting to get me thinking about twins!! Reckon my due date will be May 28th based on my calculations...

So stats then:

Me: 36
DH: 42
dd: 2 (+4 days)
Now: 3 weeks and 5 days pregnant
EDD: May 28th

munz · 16/09/2005 15:33

HandbagAddiction · 16/09/2005 15:34

Munz - are you stalking me???

munz · 16/09/2005 15:42

HA - I resnet that comment! I stalk all my TTC buddies not just u! he he bout time some of u girls left that thread!

Spoo · 16/09/2005 17:47

INky - I am gonna speak to my HR department on the quite before I go back. Have you got the NHS Purple pregancy book from last time cos it has all the right ssin there. From reading it today - you can go back to work for one day and then take your next maternity leave if you wanted, as you are still 'employed' during OML and AML. Whether that would be politically the right thing to do is up to you.

I work in a male dominated environment and I can imagine all the sniggers behind my back! I just am not sure they will ever take me seriously again. I have/had quite a good career up to now and I am worried about nursery fees next time round and wondering whether it will be worth it.

Spoo · 16/09/2005 17:48

P.S. No symptoms yet - but I was soo sick last time!! Fingers crossed that I fly through this one!
