May Babies 2006

I thought I'd start a due May 2006 club even though its very early in the month for it.

My stats are

ME: 31
DH: 30
DD: 3 next week!
Next DB due: May 1st (4 weeks pregnant today!)

Just been to the docs to get it all confirmed and seeing the midwife tomorrow. Look forward to more of you joining me as the month progresses!

Actually, I expect to have an elective section after an emergency one with DD so db will probably be born at the end of April. But like the idea of a May thread nonetheless!

Helsi - what date in Dec is your dd's birthday - my dd will be 3 on 7th Dec. I'm 6/7 weeks pregnant with number 2! Take care! X

faeriemum · 07/09/2005 21:18

Welcome Bouj, Helsi and faeriemum - congratulations on the BFPs and I recognise some of the names from the conception site.

Hope you girls aren't feeling too morning sick this morning.

Welcome ladies. For the time being I am feeling quite invirogated. I'm a bit anxious about tomorrow's scan but will try to be positive about it.

Keep fingers crossed for me. And try to ward off ms.

snaggletooth · 08/09/2005 10:21

due 1 May

have first gp appointment tomorrow and am hoping they might give me an early scan next week (I will be 7 weeks + then)

waves of sickness here and quite moody today!

supersonic · 08/09/2005 14:34

Hi hope it okay if I join.

me: 32 this dec
DP: 30
DD was 4 in June
DUE DATE: 8th May
had 1 missed m/c at 16 wks back in May 2003 so anxious to say the least but have booked scan on 4/10 at the EPU as our hosp don't do 12 week scans - I find this really strange if I didn't attend the EPU I would have to wait until 20weeks!!!! Today was my first day of feeling ill - I took DD to nursery and vision went blurred nearly crashed the car twice (DD not in it thankfully) miograine came then the sickness and now dull headache I hope this is not going to be the start of things to come as I never experienced sickness with either previous pregnancies just massive sore boobs but even that seems to have eased abit now.
anway sorry to babble on its so so nice to talkt o people in the same boat!
good luck everyone!

helsi · 08/09/2005 18:54

mandymoo - dd is 3 on 17th December so only 10 days difference between our little ones.

hockeymum · 08/09/2005 19:29

Supersonic - congrats on the BFP.

Good to know I'm not alone with the visual disturbances thing - I dont remember that with my first pergnancy but get it when I feel sick this time. Still really sick several times a day and still waking up inexplicably at 3am, being sick and then not being sleepy again till after 5. Isn't pregnancy wonderful? aren't we meant to be glowing at the moment?!

hello mummies

how are you all feeling?

i am almost 6 weeks and little one has made them selves known today - i feel sick

but im glad i feek sick as I have felt nothing and felt like i was lying to myself that i am pregnant. i just still cant beleive it. i am so excited to meet this new little person that we have made.

i also feel soooooooooooooooooooooo tired. i actually have to lie down during the day, could not do that with first pregnancy as I worked full time.

so far is every now just to reming me...

i am jealous of anyone who has grown boobs, i have my fingers crossed this time that mine will grow

i also have those ligment stretchy pains that I forgot you get and got all worried until gp reminded me... its funny how you forget.

lovecloud · 08/09/2005 23:04

just seen i typed "themselves"..... i mean "themselve" - please God I am not cut out for twins

lovecloud · 08/09/2005 23:06

and

what does this mean?
"so far is every now just to reming me... "

pregnant brain already???

helsi · 09/09/2005 07:16

pg brain has set in with me too. Yesterday was awful. I couldn't think of words that I wanted to say and I lft the house door open when I left - not just un locked but open!

munz · 09/09/2005 08:13

LC - glad u're gettin on OK honney ((hugs))

helsi · 10/09/2005 09:34

I am only in my 6th week of pg and already clothes that fit me last week re far too small this week. I'm sure this shouldn't happen when the baby is only the size of a grain of rice at the moment. have I just put weight on do you think?

keepingitasecret · 10/09/2005 10:22

congrats helsi

My stomach seemed enormous at 6 weeks but now at 7 weeks it seems to have receded slightly - I think a lot of it was water retention and wind . hth.

lovecloud · 10/09/2005 10:58

Hello

I am 6 weeks today and i feel sooooooo yucky!!!

I did not have morning sickness with dd1 until about 8 weeks so I am really hoping this will not be a real sicky pregnancy... then again I wanted it so badly so I will just have to ride the waves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Helsi - my tummy is already sticking out too and my clothes feel a bit tight on my waist line but i have to say it could be wind as I have been passing a lot of wind

I normally go to bed around 11.30pm most nights but last night there was no way i could keep my eyes open at 10pm. Its mad how much this little baby the size of a grape causes all these changes.

So please send over any good tips fo "all day sickness"

x

Mandymoo · 10/09/2005 12:37

Hi all - i'm 7 weeks pregnant and can only fit onto one pair of jeans atm!! I'm sleeping for England but the sickness seems to have subsided for a bit (thankfully) - hope you all have a good w/e XX

Mandymoo · 10/09/2005 16:48

Hi and congrats to all,
I am joining the may baby club, found out yesterday due 17th so only 5 1/2 weeks. This is no 2 dd is 1 next week. Dont have any symptoms yet, (isn't it weird how you look forward to feeling sick? or is that just me)
looking forward to chatting to you all in this exiting time.

logic · 11/09/2005 20:03

Congratulations everyone! I'm from the May 2005 thread, can't believe there's a 2006 one already.

Bouj · 11/09/2005 23:53

Am I the only one who's clothes are too tight at 7 weeks pregnant??? I have lost weight too, with the vomiting and lack of alcohol!! Bit cross about the idea of wearing maternity clothes this early. Thankfully we are heading into summer here and I can live in gypsy skirts. Aha, I see an excuse to shop....

Mandymoo · 12/09/2005 09:13

Hi Bouj - i'm 7 weeks pregnant too and can now only fit into one pair of jeans as all my other clothes are too tight!! Whats that all about?!

I never wore maternity clothes until 5 months with dd!!!!

Oh well - we're heading into Autumn and Winter here so lets get those baggy jumpers and tracksuit bottoms out!!

keepingitasecret · 12/09/2005 09:25

hi everyone, feel very miserable today as I have no sickness at all (despite feeling rough all weekend) and achey tiny period cramps

very worried and feel like putting my head on my desk and howling! Still hopefully work will take my mind of it xx
