I thought I'd start a due May 2006 club even though its very early in the month for it.

My stats are

ME: 31
DH: 30
DD: 3 next week!
Next DB due: May 1st (4 weeks pregnant today!)

Just been to the docs to get it all confirmed and seeing the midwife tomorrow. Look forward to more of you joining me as the month progresses!

Actually, I expect to have an elective section after an emergency one with DD so db will probably be born at the end of April. But like the idea of a May thread nonetheless!

Afternoon all, anyone else suddenly start to feel tired as they approached week 30? End of last week was a killer and now I am shattered and it is only Monday afternoon! Think I am going to have to get used to slowing down from now on, but thats easier said than done.............I keep getting up to rush off somewhere and then realised I'm knackered and have only got half way there........

Feel about 108!

sniff · 13/03/2006 14:43

I am definatly tired could fall asleep at the drop off a hat if only they would let me

I am going for a scan tommorrow to make certain baby is a girl just so if its not I can sort all the pink stuff out that my mom keeps buying or buy loads more!!!!!!

I really hope its a girl now we have struggled to come up with names for a girl though

if its a boy its going to be THomas/ joe

for a girl we think now Isabella (only name we both liked I love Grace)

Agree on the feeling ancient thing! I can fall asleep every time I sit down. I'm so shattered, and my iron levels are normal now so I can only imagine how I would feel if I was still anaemic. Still, luckily for me I only have 5 weeks and 5 days to go (then I'll be really tired lol!)

Got a whole lot more painted this weekend so the house is getting a bit more organised each weekend. Just want the time to pass until April 21st now. I had a scan last week and the baby is measuring about 3 weeks bigger than dates so should be reasonably big - thank goodness it's coming out of the trap door!

Definitely agree on the feeling ancient thing. I sound like a grandmother rather than a mum to be with all the moaning and groaning I do just getting out of bed! I also wake up feeling tired let alone getting up and doing anything! And I'm only 29 weeks...

For those of you that are also trying to decided on boys names: Jack has been the top boys name for the last 10 (!!!) years. Thomas, Joshua, James and Daniel have been in the top 5 for the last 5 years although Oliver pushed Daniel down to number 6 in 2005. Here's a link to the national statistics website with the top 100 boys names for the last 5 years: \link{http://www.statistics.gov.uk/specials/babiesnames_boys.asp\National Statistics website} Still haven't made any decisions at our end yet...

Have decorated the nursery now - got 18 (!) match pots and the paint still doesn't match the wallpaper/border but I'm not changing it now. Just waiting for the furniture to be delivered now :)

Hello big mamas :)

I feel so huge now and keep doing silly things!

I woke at 5am and suddenly thought "oh my god - I have nothing ready!!!!"

I know I have 8 weeks left but I had everything ready when I was at this stage with dd so I got on the case today and sorted all the new born clothes from 0-3 mths and and put them in order in the drawers. Separated things I need to wash. Wrote out a list of what I need and wrote my birth plan so I now I can kind of relaxed. I dont know why but I have a feeling I may go early, I went into labour the day I was due with dd and felt calm up until the night before and suddenly thought its going to happen and it did so I am nervous about the way I feel now so I think I will prepare my hospital bag next week!!!

I am having painful braxton hicks, everyday they get stronger. My whole stomach bunches up and if the baby pushes out against it - it really hurts. At least I can practice my breating :)

Looking forward to us all popping and telling our tales. I am still not nervous yet about the labour and birth - just hope the baby does not stay breech so I can have the birth I want or at least have the chance to. I am so nervous at the thought of having to have a csection - that terrifies me. Cant believe people actually choose to have one.

Hope you are all feeling well

x

Hi everyone havent really written much on this thread but check it everyday and read what everyone has to say but I am now 32wks yesterday and am really feeling some painful movememnts the little one is making sometimes i yelp in agony with a foot under the ribs or the head pushing on a nerve in my pelvis area (that what the midwife says it is anyway) can't imagine tha tI could get any bigger and cannot rememeber any of these uncomfortable pains with my DD who is nearly 5 (althugh that is quite a while ago now)I find sleeping a pain and onc eI wake for the oilet (for the 5th time that night) I cannot get back to sleep very easily - better get used to it I guess! We went to see the paedetrician last week and they explained as our baby has two light patches on the liver they will scan the baby once born and go from there and if this shows nothing conclusive we will take the baby back to hosp.after 4-5 days at which stage the 'stools' shoudl be 'normal' having been fed for this amount of time - slightly worrying time at least we know what to expect once he/she is born - I would be really worried if they just rushed him/her away. Anyway realised woudl be much better if I wrote more frequently then wouldnt ramble on so much
exhaused now so will rest!

thebecster · 14/03/2006 16:59

oh my god, how tired am I today??? Its comforting to read that others are equally un-blooming! The baby is squishing my stomach, bladder & pelvis all at once - can't believe he's going to get bigger. And morning sickness is back to being as bad as it was in the early days if not worse. bleargh... Do you think my colleagues would notice if I crawled under my desk for a little nap before hometime? Smile

littlemisspiggy · 14/03/2006 17:08

Poor you still having sickness as well!!

Permission to crawl under desk.

sniff · 15/03/2006 08:13

I had a 4D scan yesterday definatley a girl yippee so I am off to buy pink!!!!

having hair done today too as I cant imagine wanting to bother for much longer!!

I am not as big this time around but I have sympathy with those who are I remember it with the boys only to well

I cant sleep either wondering what else I have got to do before the kids break up for easter I would like to be organisd by then !!

I am really enjoying hearing all your news

P.S do you think we should start a new thread this one is massive!!!

hockeymum · 15/03/2006 09:52

I've started a new thread - May Babies - Blooming? Us? Never! especially for those of us without superfast computers! Post away.
