Morning all, think this may be my last post for a while (yeah right!! You know I'm going to be on and off all day!)
Off on hols tomorrow! And I've got a ton of clothes to sort for everyone. Shouldn't be too bad though - I'm just going to put the clothes into black bags - obviously I'm not going abroad!! Going to Pembrokeshire to stay in a cottage by the beach - can't wait. Hope the weather's ok! Children are staying at my mum's tonight so they'll all be ready and breakfasted for the journey.
LOL at you Nova trawling through the multiple Mulipa threads! I read through a couple and it was getting rather heated! But I think it safe to say I won't be leaving over it. And talk of subs - I didn't realise MN was a limited company! May look into paying whenI get back.
Chacha - it's basically people getting upset at MN putting what is basically an ad on their homepage for formula milk. It's illegal to advertise formula milk for babies under 6 months and I think soon illegal for follow-on 6 months plus milks too. But Mulipa have got round it by claiming its a helpline/advise thingy. There's words like 'Breastapo' bieng bandied around, which some are getting offended by and some of the 'breastapo' are leaving (oops, sorry couldn't help it ) because of the ad.
For my tuppence worth, I think women can make up their own minds about how they will feed their babies. I don't think an ad will swing ladies to give up breastfeeding and take up the bottle. Although I think there is a massive gap for women giving formula as there is no advice on different milks or how to give it, and we've all seen these huge over-fed bottle-fed babies who glug down 8oz at every 3 hourly feed.
I obviously don't agree with formula being advertised in third world countries, which I know Nestle have done in the past, leading to babies dying as their milk is made up with contaminated water although that's a different argument altogether!!
Goodness I think that's the general gist anyway I'll get off and ponder over it some more!!
