I keep 'doing' Christmas in fits and starts.

Went into our card shop the other day and there were so many people in there I couldn't cope with it. Haven't written a card yet and Im sure the ones to Greece will need to be posted any day now!!!!

We have a busker in our local town. A man of about 60. He plays an electric guitar and has backing tracks playing as well. He does all the Shadows music. I listened to him for a while and went to put some money in his hat. As I walked slowly across I thought 'Im going to ask him to play Danny Boy.' As I put the money in, and before I had chance to ask him, he started to play it.

I instantly started crying and had to come home. Oh well its ages till Christmas

I probably should sort christmas out soon. Especially as ive invited one of dbs mates for lunch so hes not on his own.

I have got my tree up
It did however fall over this morning . Happy days .

Oh Shabs, that's lovely. That song doesn't have a special meaning to me as such, but it always gives me a lump in my throat.

The tree will be up next weekend. We've just got a small fake one this year as M would be a NIGHTMARE with a real one

I have fed the cake today and I have bought the marzipan and icing. However I have no idea how to decorate it, plus I'm shit at doing it!

The service on Sunday was very emotional, and i think thats what set it off. I thought of all our precious children, and lit candles in their honor.

I'm feeling crap today - think i may have tonsillitis - off to the docs in a bit to check! Still totally struggling with christmas - DH birthday now past so i'm running out of excuses!! Tree has to appear this weekend somehow. Think I need a christmas fairy to arrive at my house and magic some christmas spirit into us all!

Saw doc this am and she's given me a prescript as i've only had tonsillitis twice in my life and ended up in hospital the first time but she said to hang fire taking them til tomorrow as she said it wasn't too bad today .

Im going up to my friends for a couple of hours - if I hang around here any longer my head WILL explode!!! I have just had a major, but private, meltdown cause DH and Tom have put the tree up, and I hate Christmas, and I cant be arsed with it all and,and,and,and Older grief just bit my bum xx

Im home!! Oh what a difficult day. Even Lewis picked up my sadness....he screamed when we did the 'handover' from Mummy to Gran....he has never done that before. He has called me Grannymum all day.

Ds got his christmas presents earlier. He didnt know where they were or is able to open the door. He told me db got them him. DB always tried finding christmas presents. Had to do the impact statement earlier.
