........forgot to add he has never ever apologised to us - either verbally or in writing

shelleylou · 02/12/2009 10:59

Thats insulting Shabs!!! I know the punishment varies depending on the charge. IIRC from what ive been reading lorry drivers have some sort of company thing. ARG will have to look it up again lol but i dont know when that came in think they are on about changing it. Thats not punishment. A mile in the others shoes could be interesting. An eye opener for the killers.

I feel no sympathy for him at all. With things him and his mum have had passed on to my mum through the police. The timing of some of it was atrocious, 2 days after her son killed db she phoned wanting his stuff out of dbs flat! :O Wanting to see dbs body, hell no hes not trying to ease his conscience.

I do feel for the other person (X) involved in db's death. Doesn't quite make sense as he killed matt but the one facing charges (Y) caused his death. If Y hadnt done whatever he did X wouldnt have touched db. The other driver couldnt have done anything. He must have nightmares about it

thats disgusting behaviour!!!

travellingwilbury · 02/12/2009 12:49

Thank you , I have just got back from the church , it was piddling down . I am glad I went but bloody hell it just brings the day back with a bang .

I also went into the church and had a big old sob , all the while being watched by 3 old women sitting in the back row trying to whisper to each other about their ailments

I have got to put the smile back on v soon , have to go and pick up my youngest at quarter past .

What a shite day , I never know what the hell to do with myself on these days . I can't believe it has been 8 yrs . WTF !

I have just moped about most of the day and tried to keep things normal for my other two . It is so bloody hard sometimes .

At least now I know I will be ok again but atm that is not really helping .

I know I am just waffling to thin air but I need to waffle somewhere .

I find the whole vaccination decision a really hard one too. What if I do? What if I don't? Gaaahhh

MaHumbug · 02/12/2009 19:56

I view this thread from time to time and have posted here occasionally.

Your collective strength is amazing, even when you're in the depths of despair.

I went to a funeral today of a young man (25yo), I babysat him and his sister and they "played out" with my brother and sister.

They're a lovely family

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 02/12/2009 21:05

Sorry to hear that MaHumbug. Some people are just taken far too early aren't they?

chegirlwithbellson · 02/12/2009 21:14

TW. Eight years!

Thinking of you and that dear little boy today.

travellingwilbury · 03/12/2009 07:19

It would have been very nice to give out just one slap though

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/12/2009 07:28

Morning all.

You can't beat a therapeutic slap can you?!

shabbapinkfrog · 03/12/2009 07:32

I am a great fan of sarcasm when a slap is not quite appropriate

Deemented · 03/12/2009 07:36

Morning.

Glad you got through the day, TW... now just the next 364 to go - and as always, we'll hold your hand x.

I forgot to mention this sooner, but this coming sunday i'm going to our local hospitals annual babies memorial service. It's to remember all the babies and young children who have died... i usually read a poem, but to be honest, i didn't think it'd be appropriate for me to get up there this year with a big baby bump ect, so i'm just going to stay at the back, but i will be there, and will light my candle for Ciaran, and for all of our children who are no longer with us.

Just thought i'd share to let you know.

shabbapinkfrog · 03/12/2009 09:12

Thank you Dee xxxx

travellingwilbury · 03/12/2009 11:03
