Welcome to our santuary and haven ladies.

Many thanks for Frasersmummy for passing the baton onto Cole and I. I am touched and hope I can do all our lo's justice.

For any people wanting to join, don't be shy. We cry, we rant, we smile, we laugh - whatever we feel like we need to do.

FMN - I just know everything is going to be OK but can really, really understand your fears. I also understand your need to keep information to yourself Im a bit like that as well. Keep us informed, cause we are nosey moo's (Well I am!) sending all my love, slobbery snogs, one for your other half (not done that for ages) and holding you close to my heart xxxx

shabster · 12/01/2009 14:32

LOL when I was having the twins - at 37 weeks I was 50 inches - I am only 59 inches tall so I must have looked like a weeble. Remember them toys? 'Weebles wobble but they dont fall down!'

lottiejenkins · 12/01/2009 15:07

Im freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing here! Ive just put the heating on boost.........brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

feedmenow · 12/01/2009 16:47

Shabs, I'm like a weeble too! Have to say, I haven't actually measured around my gigantic girth......maybe I'll give it a go in a minute!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/01/2009 17:10

fmn - I don't blame you for keeping things hush hush. I'm exactly the same. I can't be doing with questions. I need to be able to say things on my own terms.

OP posts:
feedmenow · 12/01/2009 17:20

That pretty much hits the nail on the head Ilike. I don't want to be doing with the questions. I know everyone around mje would mean well, but I don't even want to TRY to verbalise my feelings, and I sure as hell wouldn't cope well with people's sympathy!

ANyway, have just measured my belly in at 46 inches!! Not bad for just the one baby me thinks!!

lottiejenkins · 12/01/2009 17:45

I didnt get large when i had Wilf i looked about 5 months pregnant when i had him! He was quite small too...5lb 10oz.....then he lost weight and went down to 5lb 2oz! i'll never forget having to tape a nappy round his tummy cos it was too big! We put an ordinary Pampers on him and Frank picked him up and it fell off! Frank was so pleased because he went to Boots and managed to find the low birth weight nappies without asking for help!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/01/2009 19:08

Wilf was a tiddler. Mac was nearly double that

You're growing and good'un there FMN, keep up the good work

OP posts:
shabster · 12/01/2009 19:31

Awww Wilf was similar to all four of mine - Danny 5.13 his twin brother Gareth 4.1, Matt 6.5 and Tom 6.11 (and Tom was 20 days late!!!)

travellingwilbury · 12/01/2009 19:43

All this talking of sizes , I am going to have to tell you how big mine were now .

Harry was a lovely normal birth weight 7 4

Then Jamie came along and I was HUGE (OH measured round my tummy a couple of weeks before due date and I was 52")

I was all set up for a home birth and then went to hospital because I hadn't felt much movement , I then ended up with a cs and he was 12 pounds 11 . He was so opposite to Harry and tbh it really helped .

Next one was a tiddler in comparison at 11 1

shabster · 12/01/2009 19:53

OMG TW!!! Just OMG - I would have still been screaming. WOW I am very, very impressed!!

travellingwilbury · 12/01/2009 19:56

I am just very pleased I didn't get my home birth after all

I really really didn't ever want a c setion but thank the lord every day for them now .

xx

shabster · 12/01/2009 20:07

TW - I have a wince story!!! Feedmenow - dont read this

Had the twins 'normally' (whatever that is) Danny was born first - head first. Fourteen minutes later Gareth was born.....oooohhhh wait for it feet first

travellingwilbury · 12/01/2009 20:15

Ow That sounds ouchy indeed

lottiejenkins · 12/01/2009 20:18

When Wilf was born all i was waiting for was to hear him cry..........which he did then i heard the consultant say "Oh No" and Wilf had peed all over him as he was born!! They asked us if we wanted to keep his afterbirth and we said no so it was taken to an anti natal class on the floor above us in the hospital!!

shabster · 12/01/2009 20:19

He started life as he meant to go on then Lottie

lottiejenkins · 12/01/2009 20:20

shabster · 12/01/2009 20:25

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/01/2009 08:25

Holy shit TW - I nearly choked on my weetabix when I saw how much your lo's weighed. You are obviously a very efficient incubator And I thought Mac at 9lb 11oz was a whopper

OP posts:
shabster · 13/01/2009 08:33

Move it PMSL I only make little 'uns!! Our Lewis was just 6.2 but now 7 months later tops the scales at almost 18lbs.

travellingwilbury · 13/01/2009 10:48

Good morning all , Holy shit indeed Ilike , he looked like a 3 month old .

How is everyone today ? I should be sorting out birthday stuff for Jamie tomorrow , but I thought I would just have a nose first and see how everyone is doing

shabster · 13/01/2009 11:22

Not too bad here in grey, rainy, cold Bolton I still have my legs crossed thinking about those weights xxx
