What age did your child start walking?

My ds is 14 months and had been taking 4-5 steps at a time for about 2 weeks before dropping down to crawl.
Now this morning he's statred to walk everywhere!

Just curious to see what age others started.

My niece is 1 day younger than ds and she was walking at about 11.5 months.

my dd was taking steps at about 11 months and have turned 1 about 2 weeks ago and doing exceptional

Mine started walking at 37 weeks ...... gestation

DS1 - 10 months
DS2 - 10.5 months
DD still immobile - hurray! (5mths old)

I wish mine had waited a bit longer as they were on the move and could get into everything but had no concept at all of danger.

My friend is concerned that her 1 year old isn't walking and I just think enjoy it! Smile

the 13 month old walker is by far the most academically achieving and the 10 month old is the least.
