chloebe · 21/07/2010 13:12

your lady- bless!

pippinlippin · 21/07/2010 13:19

When my 5 year old DS was going through a curious phase, he once stood outside the toilet, while I was in there, and asked if I'd finished wiping my 'china'. Took me a while to realise that he had misheard me calling it a vagina a few days previously.

The name has stuck now!

Flighttattendant · 21/07/2010 13:20

This is for a child's usage, right?

I heard it called a 'muff' the other day and it nearly put me right off but that was a different context iykwim...

I think when we were children we just used to say bottom. And point.

Flighttattendant · 21/07/2010 13:21

I like 'china'

very good!

PlumBumMum · 21/07/2010 13:22

front bum in our house

sparkle1977 · 21/07/2010 13:49

vagina so far in our house but not sure it sounds right either but can't think what other word to use ?

funnily enough DS1 (3.10) pointed to it just this morning asking me where I was hiding my willy!!!

shinyshoes · 21/07/2010 13:53

chuff or foo foo in our house

shinyshoes · 21/07/2010 13:54

We used to call it vulvy woo woo or twinkle but her nickname has now become twinkle.

Or tuppence

ReasonableDoubt · 21/07/2010 13:57

Front bottom is dire. Really bad. I would rather use cunt, quite frankly!

EarthMotherImNot · 21/07/2010 13:57

When our DD's were small I'm afraid we used to call theirs Fifi

Our 11 year old grandson calls them his misters which always makes me smile.

knickers0nmyhead · 21/07/2010 13:59

faff here.

Willies are called lillies now as ds couldnt say willy.

TheCrackFox · 21/07/2010 14:00

All the little girls round here seem to call it their "flower" which is crappola IMO.

Gleeb · 21/07/2010 14:03

We had a similar mishearing so until I was about 11 , I thought I had a pagina. With my 3yo DS we call it a Nina (to rhyme with vagina).

luciemule · 21/07/2010 14:05

Twinkle.

My mum always told us to call it 'crutch' but that's awful IMO.

DD (8) knows the proper name but we call it twinkle.
DS calls his a willy/winkie but knows it's proper name is penis

ComeWhineWithMe · 21/07/2010 14:10

Lulu here too.

ReasonableDoubt · 21/07/2010 14:11

Flower? Now I have heard it all.

MitchyInge · 21/07/2010 14:15

minge

MimsyStarr · 21/07/2010 14:18

I was embarrassed to find out the other day that my MN nickname firstname (MIMSY) meant vagina!

Who knew?

I chose the name from a song in one of my favourite movies - High Society (the Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra duet).

So I have been flashing my Mimsy all over mumsnet.

AandO · 21/07/2010 14:22

I have a 3 yr old ds and he has a willy and bits (I don't know what other small boys call their balls/scrotum), when he has asked about me I have told him I have lady bits. Sounds bad now I write it !! So to him we both have bits and then he has a willy. Hmm...maybe I need to rethink this .

ShirleyKnot · 21/07/2010 14:28

The answer is in your own post. "Happy Medium"

(mine was a dink)

MerlotPixie · 21/07/2010 14:29

my mum always called it "minty". have no idea why...

I've always liked "lady garden"

Lionstar · 21/07/2010 14:33

We have minkies and winkies here

Bumpsadaisie · 21/07/2010 14:39

We have willies and nillies .

(My DH even calls mine my nilly! )
