Would love to know whay "type" of names people give their dcs - i.e. if people stick to the same thrend or style of name for their DC so they flow well together or if it doesnt really make a difference at all.

I'm due number 2 in January and am almost decided on a name, but have found myself coming to decision by trying all names with dds. Just wondering what others do...

Would love to steal hear some...

Gosh there are some truly beautiful names on this thread

Angelina Rose - what a gorgeous name!

MadameCastafiore · 13/10/2009 19:10

Harriet Jane
Maximilian Elliot

Jujubean77 · 13/10/2009 19:13

Thank you Pink, it is a really old family name

janeite · 13/10/2009 19:14

I have two dds and don't want to give their names totally but they are a combination of: Daisy, Naomi, Alice and Isobel.

My imaginary dd3 is called Marianne Darcy or Marianne Elizabeth and my imaginary ds1 is called Benedict Rowan or Laurence Gabriel or Benedict Edmund.

Jujubean77 · 13/10/2009 19:14

Also I think Tabitha is the most fantastic girls name ever and William Robert for a boy

janeite · 13/10/2009 19:15

Barnaby - I LOVE the name Barnaby. Okay imaginary ds2 will be Barnaby James.

ErikaMaye · 13/10/2009 19:16

My DS1 is due in five weeks, and as long as he totally doesn't suit it, his name is going to be Bryn George Jonathan.

If he was a girl, he would have been Evelyn (Evie) Pamela May

pollydianasmummy · 13/10/2009 19:16

Polly Diana is DD1

My next girl will be Tabitha. For a boy we are thinkig of Bertie.

Jujubean77 · 13/10/2009 19:19

Marianne is also beautiful - am loving this thread! makes me want to have another just to use some names lol

bronze · 13/10/2009 19:20

Im quite jealous of the people whos dhs who are adventurous to use some of these wonderful names unlike mine who though dds normal name was pushing it

GoppingOtter · 13/10/2009 19:21

janeite · 13/10/2009 19:24

Yes - Mrs W's names are deffo the coolest!

Gah - I want another baby.

BornToFolk · 13/10/2009 19:27

There are some fabulous names on this thread!

JustAnotherManicMummy, that's really weird! DS is Henry Joseph. He was either going to be Henry Joseph or Joseph Henry depending on which we thought suited him when he was born. We settled on Henry for a first name but I love Joseph so much I wish I'd kept it for any future sons.

If DS was a girl, he would have been Martha Josephine (we got really stuck on girls' names!). I love Matilda for a girl, DP liked names like Fallon, or Bethany. Our tastes were very different.

NonsenseDear · 13/10/2009 19:32

Do you want all the children or just the lovely ones?

Have a Peter Rudyard

and a Wilbur Stephen

Astley - nice to see another one!!!

3andnotout · 13/10/2009 19:34

Mine are:

Katerina
Dafydd
Soffia

All named after Orthodox Christian Saints.

GetOrfMoiLand - As I live in Greece Soffia's nursery teacher is Hera. Katerina goes to school with an Artemis and one of my friends is Ariadne.

QOD · 13/10/2009 19:35

Her names are Daisy Amber and Jasmin

in a different order

LOL

GoppingOtter · 13/10/2009 19:37

wow - i knew a girl at university had a daisy amber

i got pregnant soon after and coveted the names so much ... mine was a boy though

GoppingOtter · 13/10/2009 19:38

might name change for mine...

TheRedQueen · 13/10/2009 19:38

I have an Amelia Alice.

Were we to have any more (which we won't be doing), I would like an Elizabeth Emma or a Rosamund or, in the case of a boy, an Edward or an Edmund.
