Would love to know whay "type" of names people give their dcs - i.e. if people stick to the same thrend or style of name for their DC so they flow well together or if it doesnt really make a difference at all.

I'm due number 2 in January and am almost decided on a name, but have found myself coming to decision by trying all names with dds. Just wondering what others do...

Would love to steal hear some...

SecretSlattern · 13/10/2009 18:01

Idobelieveinfairies, Keenan Luke is very close to mine and DH's surnames! He is Keenan and my surname is Luke with an r added to the end.

DD is Natalie Clare
DS is Daniel Simon

DC3 due in May. Our list currently:

Hannah
Georgia
Charlotte

Haven't got a list of boys names but the one thing I am trying to push is the middle name David (after my lovely Dad, but sadly after DH's bastard Dad so have a bit of fighting to do over that one!)

Hulababy · 13/10/2009 18:03

My 7y DD is Mollie Olivia.

If I had another girl anytime soon I think ti would either be Martha, Matilda or Florence.

Had DD been a boy she would have been Oliver Joseph. Not sure what I would go for if I had another - I like things like Edward, William, Charlie, Freddie, etc.

waitingforbedtime · 13/10/2009 18:05

Euan

GIRLS
Isla
Io na
Esme
Elspeth
Annabel
Ishbel
Caitlin

Nicholas Alexander
Matthew Lysander
Lydia Athene

My dd is Ava May (May is after myself and great granny)

If we have another dd she will be
Sylvie/Vivienne Isobel or for ds Jamie/Jude Lachlan.

bibbitybobbityCAT · 13/10/2009 18:19

I must say I'm absolutely thrilled that Ruby is not over-represented on this thread. That probably makes me very shallow . But it seemed to me, as soon as we brought our dd home from hospital, that absolutely EVERYONE else was choosing her name.

There are some gorgeous names on here.

I love Ronnie! whoever had that one.

stuffitllllama · 13/10/2009 18:23

ALWAYSLOOKING

is that true?

purepurple · 13/10/2009 18:32

I have
Samuel Graham
Alice
DS has a middle name as he has my brother's name who died on the same day I found out I was pregnant.
DD doesn't have a middle name, as it just felt wrong to give her one that didn't matter quite so much as DS'.

WailingGhoshe · 13/10/2009 18:39

Lee-Daniel Robert(1978)
Marcus David (1979)
Chynna Skye (1991)

Astley · 13/10/2009 18:41

Henry Ranulph Peter
Alexander Inigo James Emmanuel
Clementine Arabella Elizabeth
Wilbur Nathaniel Rupert Bruno

ShowOfHands · 13/10/2009 18:44

I have a Mathilda Beatrice Rose. If I had another girl she would be Josephine Esme Clara and a boy would be Barnaby Ramone or Seth Inigo.

Meggle has the best pairing ever. I just love them.
