Would love to know whay "type" of names people give their dcs - i.e. if people stick to the same thrend or style of name for their DC so they flow well together or if it doesnt really make a difference at all.

I'm due number 2 in January and am almost decided on a name, but have found myself coming to decision by trying all names with dds. Just wondering what others do...

Would love to steal hear some...

We wanted a name that you couldn't shorten when DS1 was born but then have oddly gone for a name that we shortern all the time with DS2.

pureeandpearls · 13/10/2009 15:13

Cecily Jean Olivia.

Next one might be Violet Vivienne Grace though DH yet to make up his fluffing mind.

OmniDroid · 13/10/2009 15:15

Samuel David
Katherine Elizabeth Rose

Has taken me an age to get used to both names, but they are growing on me now.

GetOrfMoiLand · 13/10/2009 15:25

Alexpolis - I am with you on the ancient Greek names, my (fantasy) second child would be called Oenone, Hera, Artemis or Ariadne. My dd is Sophia, so you clearly have excellent taste

TheDevilEatsBabies, lol at the fact that your chicken's names are from the Mambo number 5 song! Ha!

My DD is Isabel Sophia.

I don't have any other children, but other names I like are:
Emily
Aimee
Sophie
Charlotte
Ella
other names ending in bel/belle/bella but obviously wouldn't use as they would be too similar to DD.

Fleecy · 13/10/2009 15:48

Sophia Rose
Sebastian James

MrsVik · 13/10/2009 15:49

My unborn daughter will be Lucia. Other names that we would consider for future daughters are Isabelle, Alice and Amelie. For boys, Elliot, Alexander or Stefan.

I would have liked Patrick and Phillippa but DH vetoed both (though if DS had been Patrick, I probably wouldn't have gone for Phillippa too.)

FreyatheFirst · 13/10/2009 15:53

I have:

Jens David Derwen
Matteus Jago

and a ridiculous surname.

Dysgu · 13/10/2009 15:55

DD1 is Florence (Florrie) Amelie (2006)

DD2 is Gabriella Eve (2008)

I love their names! I even think they look like pretty girly names when typed! I am not at all girly...
