Would love to know whay "type" of names people give their dcs - i.e. if people stick to the same thrend or style of name for their DC so they flow well together or if it doesnt really make a difference at all.

I'm due number 2 in January and am almost decided on a name, but have found myself coming to decision by trying all names with dds. Just wondering what others do...

Would love to steal hear some...

they're amazing names, I love them and I've never heard of them or read them in a baby book

I didn't mean it badly, sorry it was a wow! comment rather than an I don't believe you comment

BonsoirAnna · 15/10/2009 17:50

DSS1 = Alexandre
DSS2 = Guillaume

Not, obviously, chosen by me!

DD = Flora

alwayslookingforanswers · 15/10/2009 17:57

thanks - all bona fide names as well I can assure you maybe not in a British baby book - but if you bought a Zimbabwean baby name book they'd be in there

facebookaddict · 15/10/2009 19:52

GoppingOtter what do you mean (new to MN)? are the 'rules' different in chat- ie. you'd like to comment on funny names or do I misunderstand?

facebookaddict · 15/10/2009 19:56

Barbie sorry only just saw your reply from the other day, must have missed it somehow.

Rory and Shannon? (cousin has a Rory and he's GORGEOUS so have always loved the name!)

GoppingOtter · 15/10/2009 20:02

facebook - chat gets deleted after a time (unsure how long) i would LOVE to post dcs names but know i might regret it later soooo

facebookaddict · 15/10/2009 20:04

Change name and post...! I was perhaps a little naive to post mine on this name but hey, can always change this name..

alwayslookingforanswers · 15/10/2009 20:05

or post them - leave it a day or two (or hour if you prefer) and then ask MN to delete

GoppingOtter · 15/10/2009 20:09

i was wondering about that.... would mn do it do you think

alwayslookingforanswers · 15/10/2009 20:10

Maybe ask MN to delete the whole post once its done a dusted. Not sure if it would ever be a security risk though, kids names are on plenty of databases, doctors, dentists, schools, clubs, nurseries etc etc

LilyBolero · 16/10/2009 16:15

Put them on your profile, then post to say 'my kids' names are on my profile' then you can delete them when you want to.
