I'm sure with names like this they've heard worse fishie!

Streetlight · 14/07/2009 11:13

it's not the children we are bashing, Fishie.

fishie · 14/07/2009 11:14

of course it is about the children, you are ridiculing them on the internet.

Streetlight · 14/07/2009 11:16

No their names are being ridiculued. That's not the same and I doubt many of the children concerned are reading this. Anyway I was making up Pylon.

I do get what you mean though. Sorry.

saladfingers · 14/07/2009 11:17

working in a school i've come across a few, Tia Maria, Tigger but yet to meet a Tarzan

NeedaNewName · 14/07/2009 11:21

No one is havong a go at the children and I doubt there are any children reading this. Is your name one of the above Fishie? If so this is not about you. My name (especially my maiden name) was laughed at for years (with good reason) - not a problem, I realise no one was laughing at me, just my name.

Lghten up.

Little boy called Ocean. Simply awful. Not helped by his flowing long blonde hair and 'pretty' face.
He always gets mistaken for a girl.

We had a Reyem at school his surname was Meyer. His twin sister was Katinka.

They were both very nice kids unfortunately their parents had slighty different naming ideas to the reast of the world!

baiyu · 14/07/2009 12:00

Destinee, Fantasy.
Dreadful. A Summer working with American kids yielded quite a few awful ones!

nomorecake · 14/07/2009 12:06

Fimbo is right...

Kewcumber · 14/07/2009 12:07

actually mine wasn't a child anyway - Alaric was a grown man when I knew him. I would have shortened to Al or Ric personally but he didn;t seem inclined to.

kidcreoleandthecoconuts · 14/07/2009 12:13

Toffee......
I quite like Honey and Ocean although I wouldn't necessarily use them. Each to their own I suppose...

Tidey · 14/07/2009 12:13

Agree with Fimbo. We've had similar threads before. Someone with kids called Oregano and Apocalypse will be along any moment and start shouting.

Sunshinemummy · 14/07/2009 12:20
