is R-marni meant to be Harmony?

ForeverOptimistic · 27/03/2009 18:57

No I think R-Marni is meant to be Armani after the designer. Poor child.

Mrswoolf Tabatha is a real name. Not the same name as Tabitha.

I came across a Jennaveeve, and there is a MNetter who keeps putting Hiedi on name threads (it's Heidi FFS!)

I wish people would check how to spell a name before using it.

InSearchOfLostKeys · 27/03/2009 19:08

Chantal (my name) gets spelt 'Chantelle' a lot, but the worst ever was 'Shuntelle', I mean ffs...

smartiejake · 27/03/2009 19:10

Aimee and Tayla

Tinker · 27/03/2009 19:11

Porsher

FAQinglovely · 27/03/2009 19:12

Aimee is a "proper" variation isn't it? I went to school with a Scottish Aimee years ago.

georgimama · 27/03/2009 19:13

Aimee (with an accent on the first e - can't do it here) is French for "loved" so yes, it is a "proper" spelling.

StealthPolarBear · 27/03/2009 19:17

Fann-joe

Joycey29 · 27/03/2009 19:18

I have taught siblings Krisdol (Crystal) and Maffew (Matthew). I felt sorry for both!

EdwardBear · 27/03/2009 19:18

I went to school with a Hiedi, she always had to say 'Its Hiedi with an ie' lol

Flibbertyjibbet · 27/03/2009 19:19

Snigger

at Fann-joe

tattifer · 27/03/2009 19:21

Kalum - I want to pronounce it Kay-lum but apparently the little mite is called Callum (?)

notsoteenagemum · 27/03/2009 19:24

Rofl at StealthPolarBear.

Destinee, Olyviya, Elle (for Ellie), Kelli, Kayte are all former pupils.

DSM · 27/03/2009 19:25

FAQ - Tomas is the correct Irish spelling for Thomas, might be in spain too, not sure.

Weirdest I have seen is Lorah (laura). Stupid.

StealthPolarBear · 27/03/2009 19:26

Why are you sniggering Fj? If this baby turns out to be a girl that's what she'll be called! Are there implications I haven't thought of?

MrsGokWan · 27/03/2009 19:29

I met a Shardenay today

FAQinglovely · 27/03/2009 19:30

Strawbezza · 27/03/2009 19:31

BeatrixRotter · 27/03/2009 19:31

Nansi. Is that a correct spelling in a far off land?

Littlefish · 27/03/2009 19:36

K'sea-mai (Casey May)
Typhphannee (Tiffany)

BeatrixRotter · 27/03/2009 19:36

Oops. Have just googled Nansi and it is Welsh. So not so far off then

Littlefish · 27/03/2009 19:36

Honestly! I really have met the first one, and seen the second one written down!

FAQinglovely · 27/03/2009 19:38

Beatrix - I don't know - but there was a Nansi named as such in the 1800's in Wales.......
