I like the name Honey but not sure whether it's a bit brave?

Any thoughts?
My mum actually suggested it and I do think it's a really pretty name and like my mum said, how could your little girl not be a little cutie with a name like Honey?
But I'm quite boring and not sure if it's a bit unusual, I've never heard of anyone else called Honey, apart from the girl in the film!

I was going to say that it's a name that has very 'trendy in 2010 vibes'! Grin

I liked it but not sure it ages well. Glad I didn't though as my DD is quite a big girl and I can imagine some may have come out with Honey Boo Boo comments (nothing against Alana and given it was shown 4-7 years ago, we might have got away with it but kids can be cruel)

Rickrolled by a sodding teenager. Well played @honeyy

Honey, to me,is what a misogynistic customer calls a waitress or barmaid.

there is quite alot of nastiness on this board!!

Bollocks. This is the board where you get HONEST opinions on names, not just "Ooh, it's gorgeous, hun!" People in real life might not say "Your daughter's name is silly and makes her sound like a stripper" but they'll be thinking it.

Kids need names that are going to suit them for a lifetime, not names that a cute on a little baby and ridiculous on every other age group. Imagine trying to get taken seriously at work when everyone's addressing you as "Honey" and suppressing giggles.

Just realised it’s a zombie thread reborn twice!
Wonder what the OP ended up with.

It doesn't bother me. I wouldn't want to be called Honey but then I wouldn't want to be called Shirley or Iris, Ivy or Stella. There are plenty of successful individuals with unusual names - Emerald Fennel, Prince, Park "Pepper" Adams, Ginger Rogers, Maple Bateman, Channing Tatum etc.
