We (the UK) had a Queen Adelaide.
I assume that's who the Australian city was named after.

That’s what my mother called my vulva as a little one 😂 As in ‘Have you wiped your Tuppence?’ or ‘She got kicked in the Tuppence’. I would not be able to look someone in the eye with this name.

I thought the actress' name Portland Mason was pretty cool when I first heard it. I've only just now seen the link - Portland is a kind of stone. The child of James Mason, it is her proper name (not a stage name). And with 'Portland' she was actually named after a family friend with that as first name. Possibly the Masons thought the link would be a fun coincidence.

Why burden the child with weird names and risk them being teased?

I know of a boy called Kester which I think is really lovely.

I also know of a girl called Elurra which can mean snow, and is a pretty perennial flower, and is also a dietary supplement to prevent UTIs (ETA the dietary supplement is a slightly different spelling).

Carnelian would be a good stone related name. Boy or girl.

I have been reading about Jimothy the raccoon who lives in Seattle. I love that name. It makes me laugh. I am not sure about it for a human but I would love a pet called Jimothy.

I have a family member called Colwyn (like Colwyn bay) - always thought it was pretty cool!

Also know a Cedar and a Brecon (boys)
