Thoughts on the baby name Knowledge with a surname like Smith

Me and my partner really like the name "Knowledge" for a boy. I'm curious to see what other people think of this name choice.

Knowledge Jamie Smith (our last name is very similar to Smith)

Jamie is the middle name because his father's name is James.

I think it holds a warm and curious energy. What do you guys think?

In England he’ll be teased. Maybe if in Africa it’d go down better. Please don’t do this to the child. DB chose animal names for his sons but as middle names.

When naming one's children, the choice is entirely up to the parents, without prejudice. I think there are some banned names, like "Adolf", otherwise, the best bet is to choose something that people can pronounce and spell correctly, that they don't automatically try to shorten it every time, or change it into an insult.

What if your child is born with severe learning difficulties? Would you still call them "Knowledge"?

Lots of things to think about.

As other have said, perhaps better to find an uncommon name rather than abstract nouns

Well, it means "wisdom" which is similar.

I remember Woody Allens son being called Satchel (yes really!) and he now goes by his 2nd name Ronan. Really dont do this .Kids will just have a laugh at his expense !

Or, look at it the other way - just as easily, it can be changed.

Sorry OP but this is not right. A bit like the fictional Endeavour. Who never used his first name because it was too different.
Imagine him at school. No OP. A name needs to carry a baby through to younger years at school, into the workplace ( hopefully) and life generally.

That could be his sister's name.
