Most recent one I know was probably Matilda (Tillie) born 3 months ago.

I always thought it was a terrible name but I grew up with a girl called Brogan (80s/90s), it has the same 'vibe'.

i suppose the parents don’t care that they've named their daughter after a body part.

It’s not hard for me, I’m 38 😂 it’s different for toddlers though isn’t it. I’m saying it sounds nice in a greek accent if it’s a greek name, lots of words do sound a lot better in a foreign accent!

But it’s not Greek, it’s Ancient Greek, i.e. it’s European. Like xylophone.
Or telephone for that matter.

Persephone is not at all like xylophone or telephone, both of which were coined in the 19th century to name inventions.

If it’s like anything, it’s like Ariadne and Penelope, being a name from Ancient Greek mythology. And nobody puts on a Greek accent to say those names.
