Like all. Good names.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 12/07/2025 11:49

I think Rita feels very dated.

The others are having a turn again.

tartyflette · 12/07/2025 11:49

They all go well with the surname too

tartyflette · 12/07/2025 11:51

Rita is good but i always think of it as a shortened name for Margarita. (Also good)

SunnieShine · 12/07/2025 11:54

Maud is just beautiful.

MissyB1 · 12/07/2025 11:57

Vivienne is beautiful, the rest are ok.

marshmallowfinder · 12/07/2025 11:58

Maud and Rita are frumpy and dreadful. Vivienne is OK. Veda is weird.

elozabet · 12/07/2025 11:59

Love Vivienne and Maud

LeedsZebra90 · 12/07/2025 12:00

Veda and Vivienne- great.
Maud and Rita - definitely not great!

Cheese55 · 12/07/2025 12:00

Not Maud ever!

JDM625 · 12/07/2025 12:01

I like lots of 'older/classic' names, but not these.

Rita- No. 70yr old name.
Veda- Never heard of it.Is it Vayda, Veeda or other? I know someone called Verda which is a bit different and I like
Maud- Sorry, I hate the sound and think of it as such an ugly combination of letters. Sounds like Morgue!
Vivienne- Prostitute from Pretty Woman but the best of the above names

Cheese55 · 12/07/2025 12:01

Vivienne will become Vi at school

StMarie4me · 12/07/2025 12:01

I like them all- especially Rita!

Iwiicit · 12/07/2025 12:03

Maude ( I prefer it with an e!) and Vivienne go best with your surname, as it's French. They're both quite classy imho. Not Rita but Marguerite or Margaux are lovely.

Jumpthewaves · 12/07/2025 12:04

Maud is beautiful and elegant, Vivienne is try hard, Rita is pretty and I have no strong feelings about Veda.

littlebilliie · 12/07/2025 12:05

They will all sound brilliant as adults think you are naming an adult. Of my mum’s friends was Renee (Irene) although an old name in our terms she was fabulous woman. Think of the future adult owning the name

Nousernamesleftatall · 12/07/2025 12:05

I like Vivienne

NoNameMum · 12/07/2025 12:05

There were names that we considered really old fashioned when choosing our son’s name and they’re now really popular. Think names like Archie, Alfie, Henry, Stanley. You never know what’s going to come back into fashion.

Treeleaf11 · 12/07/2025 12:06

I don't like any of them I afraid. If I had to pick i would choose Maud, but the Maudlin connection put me off.

Rita is a 80 year old heavy smoker
Vivienne (Viv) the same but also Vivian from the Young Ones
Vodafone I've never heard of

Treeleaf11 · 12/07/2025 12:07

"Veda

neleh87 · 12/07/2025 12:08

I've heard of a baby Rita being born recently so maybe it's coming back. I think it's pretty. There's a fun Beatles song called Lovely Rita as well.

Cheese55 · 12/07/2025 12:08

Never heard of Veda either

onwhitehorses1 · 12/07/2025 12:10

Veda was the name of my grandmother born in the 1930s so perhaps that's why I see it as old-fashioned, and assumed it was more known!

Love them all, but I do like all the old fashioned names. I accidentally named two of my children after my great aunt and uncle….. my parents didn’t think to mention it when I was naming them 😂

Migrainesandme · 12/07/2025 12:11

Not names i would choose but if you like them thats all that matters.
