Conservative but out there boy name?!

So, I’m having a boy. Names-wise, I.Did.Not.Prepare.For.This.

For a girl, I would have punted Céline, Margot, Audrey, Vivienne (Vivi), Anaïs, Genevieve, Bridget etc to DH.

My own name is rare but not a weird name, so I’ve always liked that - people have heard of it, but don’t necessarily know someone else with it.

I’d like a name that was strong, a bit zhuzh-y with a sprinkle of eccentric but also fine for a CEO to be called! Does it exist?

This is our first. We have a double-barrelled aggregate four syllable surname, but I’d pick a vanilla-ish middle name so the whole name wasn’t totally nuts.

I have a Caspar which I love. It’s unusual enough that we’ve only met one or two others but it’s not weird enough for anyone to comment on.

You seem to like French names for girls. Perhaps a French boy name?

Loving Raphael, Caspar, Rollo, Cosmo

BFF has a Zack, so can’t do Zachary.

We’re not remotely French, guess I just identify with a touch of the snobby whimsy! I do speak French but DH wouldn’t be a fan of an overtly French name 😔

Thank you for the suggestions so far!

Old German names usually do it for boys. Florian, Wolfgang, Wilhelm, Tobias, Tristram, Hans, Carl, Bruno…

I have a Raffy and a Jasper - Jasper in particular seems to strike this chord, everyone knows the name but we've not yet come across any other children called it (which probably means it's due to become wildly popular haha)

Sebastian (not Seb)

There are two Sebastians in my daughter’s class at a high school that’s largely not middle class. It’s not as rare as you might think. And everyone shortens it to Seb.

@HiddenInCubeOfCheese I like Ossian, good strong name.
