  1. Did you genuinely spell your second daughter's name wrong to match the first one?
  2. Scarlet is a colour..Scarlett is a name.
  3. Why are they meant to be a matching set?
  4. There aren't any

There are: Jett, Russett and Rosette if you can stretch that to count as a colour.

Ohnobackagain · 11/04/2025 21:24

@SlightlyJaded your name made me invent one for @est09 - Jadette!

Mumsnette or
Orangette

Just pick any colour and stick ‘ette’ on the end!

Mumsnette🤣🤣🤣

caringcarer · 11/04/2025 21:32

Jett.

Nope. Jet. Russet.

Rosette is neither a colour or a name.

Actually Rosette is used as a name; and when used as a name Jett has double t.

RareFatball · 11/04/2025 22:02

Coralett

My point exactly. Jet is the colour, Jett is the name. They are not the same.

Rosette is not a name. It's what you win at thw county fair.

Tbf the OP has a child with the middle name "Violett" so she's presumably not that fussed about whether spellings are real words or real names!

Rosette is a name. Do you know the opera by Massenet?

Neveranynamesleft · 11/04/2025 22:43

Stopette
Handy for when they're misbehaving...

KangaRoo00 · 11/04/2025 22:54

Magentanette 100%

CB2611 · 11/04/2025 23:06

You could have all the colours, in a pallette

Barnets5pSlots · 11/04/2025 23:14

Trumpett 🎺

Riversof0tter5 · 11/04/2025 23:16

Irisette is the name of a white-flowering plant in the U.S. and Iris is the Greek goddess of the rainbow.

Chromette makes me think of a 1920s variety hall star but in a good way. She would have a platinum blonde curly bob.

Riversof0tter5 · 11/04/2025 23:17

Florette or Fleurette (but not Leaflett or Twiglett)

The one about a horse?

Op I actually feel really bad about this thread having just re-seen your actual post.

I kind of just joined in without reading it properly and I think the answers have been really unfair.

I see now you were NOT asking for any colour OR any et/ett ending, but rather just colour names - which means most of our silly ( though sometimes funny!) suggestions were just nonsensical.

I also see you already HAVE a Scarlett snd Violett so I understand what you are trying to do and also apologise going on that Violett would be better without the second t. It came across ( from other answers) as though you were still contemplating the fielding.

SO: sensible answers! I think if you want a colour that also ends in the same way, the best option is Jett which is quite a fun as and funky name playing on your theme. Otherwise would you consider Rosette? I know a rosette is more a flower shape than a colour, but “ rose” is a colour in French ( pink) and Rosette is a name. Violet/t/the and Scarlett are both pretty and perfectly lovely names.

I'm afraid the OP was asking for exactly the thing you said she wasn't asking for:

"Currently have:
Scarlett
Violett
want 3rd girl to have same ending of middle name"

And when she was questioned about details a bit later, she replied that she would prefer "colour names".

Obliging mumsnetters are simply trying to offer suggestions, as requested.

Riversof0tter5 · 11/04/2025 23:47

Annette
Brett
Claudette
Flett
Jacquenette
Manette
Triolette

But not Elizabett
or Dianette

pollymere · 12/04/2025 00:32

Coralette or Rosette is probably your best bet.

Just don't go with Brunette...

Puncturedcouch · 12/04/2025 02:18

Hi OP,
After reading all the funny answers, I am here! To be serious & give you the one and only genuine solution.....
Fishnet...
Not really....
SIENNETTE ....is a beautiful middle name, Sienna is a colour, and you have your 'ette'
You are welcome!
😊
