Oh andouillette is adorable!

I’m tempted to get a sausage dog just to call him this! I love it!

Perfect name! Please get one immediately!

@MossLover
Well obviously you don’t need to justify your name choice , or demonstrate your foresight and sense of humour to me. I think Thea is a perfectly great name, just like ( and used only as middle names) Scarlett and Violett. You asked for ridicule OP did not, that was all.

I actually love Violet: I think it’s both cute and elegant, timeless yet not over-used. I just really prefer one t

I also think Antoinette works as an ette name and I love Harriette and Henriette and don’t see why it doesn’t work as ette as I’m pretty sure that’s their French spelling.

So sorry if we’ve been a bit rude op: there are lots of things that work well with your parameters.

Vitrolinsanity · 10/04/2025 21:17

Andoilette lends itself more to smelling like the inside of one’s colon.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 10/04/2025 21:30

Clementine

This doesn’t end in -ett!

BrightYellowDaffodil · 10/04/2025 21:43

She might turn out to be horsey, in which case Haynette would be appropriate?

Mumsnette or
Orangette

Just pick any colour and stick ‘ette’ on the end!

Right? But normally these names should onky have one T like Violet not Violett. Is this a windup?

SlightlyJaded · 11/04/2025 00:08

I can't believe how many uptight people are on this thread.

I also can't believe that the F&Ballers have missed Clunchette

And finally, I am pleased to say I actually have a solution that incorporates a colour and everything: SkyBette

Clunchette is horrible - makes me think of The Inbetweeners.

It’s a colour!

SunnyAgain · 11/04/2025 09:10

Sometimes people choose a name with aspirations for the adult their child may grow into. With a science background myself, I’d hope a daughter would follow a similar route and so would opt for Pipette.

I remember my soviet history lecturer saying that people would sometimes name their children progressive and modern sounding names like Traktor. That's stuck in my head for 24 years.

Violett (two Ts, no e) is how the colour purple / violet is spelled in German… but it does seem a little strange in English.

Scarlett (with two Ts) is however fairly popular
