Middle names for boden?

Thoughts on the name Boden (nick names Bode or Bodie)

And middle names (we like more classical middle names) or ideally a fire and earth name

I like Bodie, not sure about Boden and prefer Eden as an alternative. Anyway, middle names suggestions:

“ Boden bunch” was the nickname for group of mums who were all in the PTA and went to yoga together at drop-off (in my DCs primary school) Very Amandaland.

I don't know if this has been mentioned on here yet (haven't read through all responses) but it means floor in German. Not that that should put you off if you really love the name.

Believe it or not, there's many areas where people won't even have heard of Boden the shop, let alone seen one or bought anything from there.

I would never make fun of a child’s name, out loud. In my head I’d roll my eyes but who is the adult directing this at, their own kids? That’s not a good way to behave.

If you must go with Boden, have Ubiquitous Expensive but Simultaneously Inexplicably Badly Stitched Wonky Seams as middle names.

@armt I know a Beauden. Pronounced boden. We also aren’t in the UK and dont have boden here so no one has ever commented negatively. Would you consider the alternative spelling? His middle name is James.

Take the feeling of having someone being rude about the name Boden.

Multiply that by having someone be rude about the name Boden and it being your actual name every single day throughout school- because it's a stupid name and kids are brutally honest about these things.

Now stop and think about why you want to inflict that on your child.

Boden Albie will be changing his name and divorcing his parents at the earliest opportunity!

Chardonnay or Armani?

Interesting that some see this as a female name because I assumed male like Johnny Boden (clothing brand) or Beauden Barrett (rugby). Using Boden is like going for the names John Lewis or Mark Spencer.
In your shoes I would go for Beau or Bodhi but I’m assuming that this is for a boy- Beau on a girl obviously doesn’t work.

Johnnie? Like on a school register (if such things still exist).

I personally think with some of the names I’ve heard in the past 5 years, Boden is quite nice and definitely won’t get bullied like some posters are suggesting.

I would probably go with quite a common middle name, such as Boden James or Boden Oliver
