Because calling your kid Boden is the best way to do it. If you don't mind the hippie vibe Bodhi is better or Brodie if you like the surname thing

This is actually true. So if your child ever visits a German speaking country they will be introducing themselves as "Floor" and that could cause some amusement/raised eyebrows!

In the UK Boden is the clothing retailer and, unlike Zara, has never been an accepted first name as far as I can recall. It's a surname if at all.

Poor children have to live with the names their parents pick for them. Think of the embarrassment at school - even if the children won't know what Boden clothing is until they are 40, their parents will make fun of the name and the poor sod will be teased at school mercilessly.

Zara was an established girls name before the clothes company decided to use it.

The shop Zara is presumably named after the name. Boden is known as a brand here and not a name, so you are demonstrably naming your child after a shop.

Additionally, for better or worse, if someone told me a child was called Boden, I'd think they were a boy.
