How would you pronounce Miro?

Someone suggested it for our boy. I’m just curious about whether most (English) people would pronounce it the same way as us.

We like it but not sure it’s the one. Trying it on to see if it’ll grow on us.

Meer-oh at a guess but would be fully prepared for it to be My-ro and it's a name I would ask how to pronounce.

I would pronounce it Mee-row but wouldn't be surprised to hear others to say My-row.

Meer-rho would be my first guess without context.

Meero would be my first guess.

Naturally I go to My-ro but also could be like Joan Miro although his has the accented O.

I was afraid of Miro-rhymes-with-biro, but it’s not a terrible sound at least and a biro is a very useful thing! 😂

I'd pronounce it like biro or like the start of mirror with an o at the end.

If that's incorrect it's probably better to spell o it Meero.

I have a niece who is known as Miro-short for Miriam.

I would pronounce it my-roh but that’s probably because I’ve got a Milo so would pronounce it the same.

Why would OP need to change the spelling when the majority of responses have said they would pronounce it the way she wants it?
